  1. Nankang... they've done about 5,000kms, a track day of... "drift" (not overly, more grip sessions, but all 20min sessions and they still look and drive fine) have good grip in wet, and are... relative in the dry. HOWEVER, IMO all problems aside with every tyre I've ever tried is to do with varying power levels, driving conditions and how much abuse they sustain, also, suspension/braking and so on... as you can't really do a back to back test unless taking them to the track of a stack of lap and then comparing etc... SO there are a lot of variables when trying to compare tyres I think. Cheers Grant.
  2. The Cefi's rock... but I think the M5 produces like 450bhp?? That's a sh*tload of power for a stocker... but as someone has duely pointed out.. most BMW "performance cars" are speed limited... that removed, and they can let their full "autobahn" potential be realised.. in short.... cefi would probably get drilled.... Unless modified to a similar spec.
  3. www.otomoto.com.au have a big selection of new KKR turbos at relatively inexpensive prices... check them out... I guess it depends on your want and need for the turbo upgrade to produce and on your supporting mods... Cheers
  4. Naturally it would be easier to scrub my 4 stud for a 5 stud conversion, but in the interest of not having to buy new rims and new drift rims and new track rims... I would prefer to keep the 4 studs... SO I'm guessing the rotor would need to increase in size to accomodate the larger caliper??... but if I were to source Brembos what might I look for... R33 GTR? Then what sort of adapter to mount etc?? I have found in the USA, a Brembo package for a Maxima, but the US delivered 89 Maxima's came with 5 stud hubs... So, although this is not urgent I get a response it'd be nice to have for future reference eg: by year's end, if anyone knows/has done before... EG: has fitted/adapted Brembos to a single piston slider brake system... As I've said, I'm still researching so any input would be greatly appriciated. Regards, Grant
  5. HAHAHA.... those are awesome... see that last video... that got launched!!! WICKED... nice find
  6. Hi can anyone check out if anything interesting comes up with RA31GASMP-EC it's off my cefiro... Mainly because I'm trying to source brakes parts and the parts I got are WAY off, so need to know if it's a Touring/Comfort/Sport edition etc. Many Thanks, Grant.
  7. Now, you just need to cut out some of that front bar to allow a tad more air flow to the core... and allow some air through to your radiator, and surely the FMIC may be blocking a large amount of what was coming through??
  8. Is your problem sorted out? Hmm, unless it's aftermarket, should you be able to hear the fuel pump running???... Also, checked battery? Voltage, does all of the instrumentation turn on? maybe not suppying the correct power and pinouts etc? www.rb20det.com has a pinout diagram for an R32... if you don't have on already that is
  9. Respect to both Cefi's... Big engine conversions, big turbos... Brembos( on one) and more than likely big power in both... HELL YEAH!!
  10. Gotta love induction noise?! OR is it? After fitting an aftermarket bov to my old WRX had a leaking seal... and it had a MASSIVE high pitched shreeeek to it... shit me off no end and so took it off and sealed her up... Otherwise... might just be induction noise? Cheers
  11. HAHAH... it's dark green mate (thinks, must have a black perl in the paint) and I'm from NSW... thought I'd pay respect to a fellow 4 door man  Cheers, Grant
  12. ... hmmm, IMO... pull off opposing door trim, plug in to "Problem window" and put the window up... then disconnect and leave it disconnected... then if it takes time to find a spare controller your window will be up. Naturally put the other door's unit back in to place, when you've finished Cheers.
  13. Nice big cooler DaElf, hopefully it does it's job and provides some good low inlet temps when you wind up the boost, and slap her on a Dyno!! Is that the "stock" front bar? Is the top of the cooler leaning forward? could I grab a "semi-side-on" picture? I prefer the stocker look as the local constabulary down here are... *cough*... you get the idea.... Cheers.
  14. Yes, it's an "air purifier", but my ass... not a very effective unit if you ask me... pull mine off/out as it was rattling and giving me the shits (need fresh air, open one of 4 windows located on Cefiro or 4 door Skyline  ), but you could probably use the switch as a 12V power source and open/closed circuit.
  15. Price difference between Tempe Tyres Specials and Genuine VOLKs (Rays Engineering ones) are probably in the region of $2000+ (difference). So, price and quality as some VOLK rims are 3 piece design... VERY NICE!
  16. Typical booner ute drivers... can't drive their under-powered domestic rice, but still think they rock and then they do something stupid and still think they are rock.... but we all know better... *derrr*
  17. Well, yeah, if no work has been done to the clutch in 11 years, then if she is slipping.... it will be in all gears, and will appear like a lack of power (cold and warm)... has it been tested eg: put in 5th @ 60km/h, floor it, and the revs climb but the speed doesn't?...
  18. My Osaka Dorift Taxi 2.4ltr Tomei Jap Special, RHC6 Turbo, Injectors, coil-overs etc etc etc... (fully worked) If attatchments dont work... 1st Pic 2nd Pic
  19. Do RB20 engines run a PTU or distributor?... Has that been swapped out and tested? Umm, just curious... is it manual? And, has the clutch been changed recently? Thus could explain why it's dodgy in 1st gear and no other???
  20. *cough* As a "performance enthusiast" most members here would recommend against it... Surely King Super Low Springs aren't that expensive anymore????
  21. 1JZGTE... or 2JZGTE... or fit RB26, if you haven't considered it... depends what will fit I guess? And on budget?
  22. Unmetered air leak? Causing rich condition and fouling plugs and hence no spark and hence no power?????If it drove for 4kms before it did the same stuff I'd say then it might take 4kms for them to get fouled????.... I'm guessing here as not sure about the engine specs. Best of luck.
  23. Nice, very good effort. Hopefully you will have go to match the wicked amount of show Did I say good effort? Hope you are happy with it, because everyone else seems to be
  24. With those added bits and pieces, obviously you had more control over the boost cycle in each gear etc using an EVC, but was there and increase or decrease in your torque figures? Where you running identical boost pressure with each dyno run, basically, looking for a reason for the 12KW loss...??
  25. Indeed... it's because "we" run an AFM (air flow meter)..... this should be an easy search, it's been covered heaps.
