  1. I also have the 8.5:1 Mahles in mine
  2. navara or r32 gtr speedo drive, have a search, Im sure there was a whole topic covering it somewhere
  3. Initially I posted in "forced induction" and thought, 'hey this would be more of a rb30 based question' so posted here. some discussion in the first thread I started is here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Vc...ne-t328011.html Just incase some people only look in certain sections of SAU
  4. I see what you mean, but what other options are there, other than putting that line directly to the sump? Rb30 blocks dont have a threaded hole for that front drain/breather. Im also running a rear head drain back to the sump.
  5. This is what I ended up doing for anyone in the future with the same question I had. Cost was about $80 including hose from pirtek. Still going to give it some heat wrap.
  6. You are the one thinking you can get away with not getting epa/defects. I know Im stuffed Steerer pic for D-limo
  7. lads, I need one of these, anyone have a wreck that has a heater in it? Cheers,
  8. Learn something new everyday, will retain that part Cheers for the info, and for the pics
  9. Apart from the gap between the timing covers Should of painted the inlet wrinkle coat, but got impatient and wanted to get it back in the car haha
  10. The offending drain passage.
  11. Still need to sort out some accessorys, coolant lines under the inlet manifold, fittings for turbo lines, and workout what to do with the vct/front oil drain line as the rb30 block has no threaded hole for it. Most of the work is done tho,
  12. Not entirely sure, hence the question Exhaust side is correct.
  13. Lads, Just finalising the small bits and bobs of my motor build, Its a Rb30det using a R33 RB25 head with aftermarket RB20 cams. As the VCT gear isnt fitted, would blocking the drain line up at the head be harmful? Just looking for a simpler motor, and if its not needed, it wont be fitted smile.gif My block also does not have a hole in the block anywhere for a drain fitting. Thought I'd repost here, as its more RB30 based Cheers,
  14. Hi mate, might have one, ill let ya know when I get home

  16. forgot to add, his new phone number is 0468998826
  17. Manifold now $450ono Also available, two holset hx35's. One has a polished housing, both in good nick $300ono each
  18. Nice!! I remember when that car was advertised on various forums. What ever happened to the r31 front bar that was on it?
  19. CST's are about 1600$ for a set, theyre becoming the new drifttek hahah Heads on, have to get timing spot on yet and dial cams in. Tried to mock up the inlet manifold up to the head, mounting holes dont line up :S So its either modify again, or just buy a greddy manifold.
  20. Still no headstuds..... but picked up this last night: redtop rb20. Disregard those yellow rocker covers, just on there to keep water out. Used this motor to grab most of the timing bits I need for my rb25/30's non-vct conversion (Im using a R33 head, Ive done the internal vct supply mod and grubscrewed the oil gallery insted of welding it shut, just incase I want to run Vct again) Some goodies include "RB20" embossed front timing cover If anyone needs any redtop parts let me know Inlet cam is 248dur, small upgrade for silver top Rb20's. $50 and its yours
  21. Guys, I know this isnt a forsale section, but this thread would have 0 interested to other SAU'ers other than here Redtop RB20det, has a snapped timming belt, unknown damage to valves etc yet. Its pritty much complete from flywheel to coilpacks. Let me know if you need any parts, reasonable prices. Located western burbs, VIC Will post smaller stuff off it. Cheers, Dan
  22. Im keen to see it. Superlights and superlites are are both different wheels. One being from the UK, the other made in aus. I say go with 15" If my car didnt already have 5 stud fitted, I would of gone some nice 15" wheels, nice early 90's look with factory bars/ aero (still staying with the factory bars tho)
  23. Tensioner stud can be seen above the water pump in the above motor pic, downloaded the "rb30det how to" guide located in the rb30 section but moved the stud 2mm to the left than what it says in the guide. Also running two rb30e tensioners, price is cheaper plus a better final belt tension can be had.
