Is it true that if you remove one of the centre gauges, the others will stop working as well? I've had a peek up behind it and all three gauges come off the one plug... I'm assuming it's a "defi style" setup where you have a central control box for all three gauges somewhere inside the dash setup.

I hope you are picking up the entire headlight assembly along with any power gear required. Once the original unit has been converted to run halogens, it's a irreversible process from what I understand. I had mine swapped back after compliance and it was a pretty big job - front bar needs to be taken off. Takes about an hour all up if you have all the right tools and know what you're doing.

Well my only reason for the RSM is to remove that speed cut of 180kmh from the car... I don't need any other function of the RSM (maybe the G-sensor for wank factor) $250 is what RSMs go for second hand... $80 is what the Pivot Speed Meter goes for - same thing, less rice. Maybe I'll just opt for that, though having another "computer" in the car is cool

My favourite is still driving towards Campsie on Parramatta Road (the one right next to the clock tower) - that place is horrendous for pot holes! But after seeing my ex for 2 years, kinda got used to the bumps and learnt how to navigate through it... Yes, Pittwater road is an absolute bish as well... always sounds like you've got a flat spot on your tyres (all 4 of em ) Another one that's really bad is coming into Rockdale from the city, not really pot holes but just a series of ridges on the little bridge, makes the car jump all over the place. Suspension = TEIN HA Coilovers with damper on setting 16

NXTTIME - will you be able to fix my farkin driveway up? AMS - boost, oil temp and a/f please all with cups or a a-pillar mounting pod or something

SAFC2 is not a reccomended option to remove this "rich & retard" issue... since it can only control Air and Fuel, other factors get knocked out of place which could cause troubles with your car.

To give you an idea, mate of mine snapped his East Bear front lip in half going up a driveway... to re-connect and make it look like new it cost him $80

Which area are you in... if in Sydney I have a contact who can repair it for you for next to nothing

Little update... n15m0 has come to me with this kickplate proposal and we are looking at getting it done. I've talked to my suppliers and staff and we think it's doable without too much complication. 2 Options: 1) Re-use existing kickplate and mount custom plate on top 2) Replace exisint kickplate with a full plastic/metal integrated plate Either way we will need the R32, R33 and R34 kickplates for dimensions and moulds in order to make this a reality. I already have access to all three so that's not an issue. Will keep you all posted. EDIT: We are looking at the laser etching process to get the designs onto the metal - basically you can have anything you want from Letters to Pictures.

Hey Wink - who did you SAFC install, it looks HAWT Anyways, I haven't got an RSM (need one though) but I've got the SAFC2 in my R34. Below is a few pics of where I put it in relation to my centre console. As you can see it's not a perfect fit in the R34 ashtray area but the angle that I've put it on is perfect for my line of sight while driving (it's pointed towards the driver). Also, there is absolutely no interference from sunlight/glare as it's all the way down the bottom. Another thing is that the face of my SAFC2 is black (D1 Limited Edition) so at night time, it doesn't look like there is anything special there at all Security benefit!
