Well if you are complaining about 14-15k then you might as well forget the whole Skyline experience for the time being... talk to any SAU member and the average number for the first year (including car cost) will be around that if not more ($20k mark). This covers - car costs, initial servicing, rego, insurance and the first few goodies that you decide on. Since you are 17, your insurance will be higher than normal - even for the 32 N/A. Statistically speaking, it will have a lot on the insurance databases which does not work to your advantage in this case. Saying that though, my 17 year old cousin (who turned 18 yesterday) will be taking delivery of a R34 GTT in a month's time

Just got to know someone who will geuinely look after you during the import... and most of all be honest! I got my R34 last year, had exactly the same feeling as it was the first big dollar car I've ever purchased. Had a mate/importer do all the work for me. He flew over to Japan to hand select a car on my behalf, took a few trips (which was cool with him since he's an importer anyway). But at the end of the day, I got an ex-showroom car, very low KMs and completely stock - just what I requested! The only thing I've discovered about the car which was questionable is how the hell some alien-like bug ended up under the rear seat

What I meant to say (I don't think you guys got the sarcasm) is that a N/A Skyline and a Turbo Skyline looks no different... and if you are a law abiding driver, GOES no different either! Save your time, save your money and just be happy with a N/A Skyline for now... learn to drive the car then think about upgrading later on.

I was lined up next to a N/A version of my car on Monday night... trust me, they look exactly the same I just couldn't believe how it looked so similiar, OMG! 3 hours each way = 6 hours per weekend, just to own a Skyline? Man, that's like $150 in fuel just to get you to and from Canberra and Sydney? You must be really rich, really bored or just really stupid But whatever rocks your sox mate... good luck!

OK I now also have a set of standard R34GTT Castor Rods for sale... both are in excellent condition with no wear in the bushes at all. Seperating with these for $100.00 + Postage. Would prefer a pickup as they are quite hefty, but I guess it doesn't matter since the set of rims did go to SA Selling because I upgraded to Adjustable Rods on the weekend

OK received an email from UNIGROUP regarding the TSI; all up cost is around $2500 so it's not a cheap option. However, it doesn't look like they want to go near this option for my car as they offered the alternative of the SAFC which is 1/10 of the price ~ Mmmm... one option struck off then!
