Well if you are complaining about 14-15k then you might as well forget the whole Skyline experience for the time being... talk to any SAU member and the average number for the first year (including car cost) will be around that if not more ($20k mark).
This covers - car costs, initial servicing, rego, insurance and the first few goodies that you decide on.
Since you are 17, your insurance will be higher than normal - even for the 32 N/A. Statistically speaking, it will have a lot on the insurance databases which does not work to your advantage in this case.
Saying that though, my 17 year old cousin (who turned 18 yesterday) will be taking delivery of a R34 GTT in a month's time
