  1. Can you give me more details on the CA18DET motor for $1000 Please PM me the information
  2. Weirdest thing yesterday; thought I saw my own car driving around in my neighbourhood! White R34 GTT with Impuls.... Differences: * Car was stock except for exhaust * Car was riding at normal height * Rear wheels kinda skinny * It had a sexy sun-roof Spotted outside of Col Crawford BMW... if you're on here mate, let us know we'll meet up sometime. Also, another R34 GTT with black tail-light surrounds, always spot you around the Balgowlah and Dee Why area... you on here too?
  3. OMG I was cruising along in the 'hood and spotted an exact copy of my car It was a White GTT with Impuls.... Car was relatively stock though, so it ain't got nothing on me Loved his sunroof though (so I lied, it wasn't a copy)
  4. Hi all... This Saturday the car will be going in for a tune at Hitman; just to get the car running smoothly after the latest round of upgrades (new turbo setup). Currently the car is running at 10psi as it was before the upgrade - just to play things safe. We've tried to wind the boost up but find that the car "cuts out" at around 13 psi. I believe this is the factory protection system coming in to play. This is an undesirable occurance and will hold the car back on Saturday. I want to find out how to remove it. ______________________________ 1) I have an SAFC2 installed - some people have told me that this, when tuned correctly, will remove this "cut out" as you need to trick the ECU into thinking there is not so much load at a specific RPM. Can anyone confirm this? 2) The other option is to go for a Fuel Cut Defender (FCD) which will resolve this problem using a similar theory to 1) above. Can anyone confirm if this is 100% necessary and is the only method? _____________________________ I'm thinking about getting the FCD and bringing it along with me just in case; if it's not required then I'll simply return it as my supplier is a mate who is providing it at cost. Better safe than sorry right? Not much point getting it tuned if all I'm going to get is 12psi out of the turbo If anyone has thoughts or first hand experiences with this, pleae can you let me know. I'll have to get that FCD ordered today if I'm to get it in time Stan
  5. I don't know about any of you guys, but it seems the subscription emails don't work (well not for all of the subscribed threads) I'm on "Immediate Email Notification" and I'm not getting them. Came on this morning to get 2 emails from SAU only
  6. I got the loan in 2005 June so the rates may have changed a little bit since then... If you have a home loan, do a re-draw on that, it's by far the cheapest way to go
  7. Excellent News... looking forward to it!
  8. Head over to HSBC and take out a personal loan (for around $30k I'll assume)... you'll be hit with 9.95% p.a. fixed and have the option of paying weekly, fortnightly or monthly. I went for a car loan with them (7.75% p.a. fixed) but that fell through as the 34 is a "grey import" so they won't do it. Personal loans are better as the car is not held as security if you default, you don't have to have comprehensive insurance (I don't know why you wouldn't though) and the rate makes it only $20 more expensive per fortnight. My 2 c Good Luck
  9. Disappointed... went into Hobbyco in the city and told them I wanted not 1 but 3 of the same kits! They said they sold out about 2 weeks ago!!! And get this, to bring them in from the states, it's going to cost me $150 more each!!!! f**k THAT! Damn Americans and their expensive overatted products! But you guys have to go watch that video on their site, it'll make anyone want this toy car!
  10. The plenum for the RB25DET, will that work on the NEO... there has been extensive discussion relating to the NEO and plenums + why they don't work Looking forward to your answer.
  11. I may be able to convince a mate to bring the rotor along... will be surprising to how it goes against the lines. Stupid question, but I'm getting a very expensive "toy" today which apparently goes faster than my car up to 90km/hr (like it will rape it) so I'm wondering if I can throw this bag of lightning on the dyno too Adam, let me know if you need a hand with anything on the day!
  12. OK; after going to this meet and speaking with a few mates I've decided to invest some pennies in a new RC car HPI RS4 Evo3 - Base Car Stage D Kit - Turns Base Car into Drift King I can't believe I'm going to spend $800 on a toy!

  15. If you are up for a drive... go down to Hart's Tyres in Manly Vale. Speak to Gary and say Stan with the white R34 sent ya. Last time I sent a member from here there, they got hit with $42 and a top job!
