  1. Hmmm looks like it's time to bring out those reading glasses again It's research time... Adam; now would be a good time to turn off your phone
  2. Generally speaking a home loan will be much cheaper (interest-wise) when put in comparison to a car/personal loan. The simple matter being the longer loan terms, and ultimately the larger loan principles. Think about it this way, the larger the amount you borrow the less interest the bank will "charge" you percentage wise. It's because the smaller percentage is still a HUGE amount and offsets the loss - also because there is less risk involved (you'll need much more credit to be able to borrow anything big). Go enquire about borrowing a million dollars and you'll be very surprised at the interest rate that is applicable
  3. Exactly... seriously, in this scene it's getting harder and harder to be original; sure there are one or two things that make every car stand out but at the end of the day, you're all shopping at the same places. As for a kit on my car... that's the last thing on the books, but I will say that it consists of a lot of CF Slowly but surely dressing up the engine bay too, making it BLING Just wait till you see some of the parts next time, you can apply your make-up with it Wink And no, we've not gone and replaced the stock parts with chrome parts~
  4. Yeah, now that John mentions it... that thread "path" would be much better under the advertising banner, just above where the thread actually begins ~
  5. Putting in the cams takes how long? DIY job or better to go to a workshop? Question is irrelevant to me but thought I'd ask anyway
  6. What's wrong with your China manifold
  7. OMG I love the new skins... both Dark and Light work very well with my signature Good work guys... Also, this is a big ask, but do you think it's possible to have a default font option? Just to give a bit of variance between each post... reading Verdana all day long is quite tedious
  8. Tom are you sure they're the only mods you have Your car looks to have a lot more goodies than that ~ Also, stock suspension? Do you have different springs because your car is definitely not at the stock ride height... 220rwkw + using those modifications only seems a little unrealistic (0.9bar being 13.23psi) but you've already mentioned a happy dyno. Maybe look at SydneyKid's R34GTT suspension package, I read the thread and with that setup you can shave your times down He proves how vital suspension really is. Good luck mate! S
  9. So can I get a total head count for all those who fit into the Modified Turbo R34GTT category? Even though I know Adam has won already, I'd like to know who else is on the board Right now all I can see is myself, Adam, and disturb3d... anymore?
  10. Yeah it's automatic... last time they did the tune in 3rd (tiptronic) - is this the gear they should be doing it in to get the 1:1 ratio?
  11. Sold so CLOSED! Sold so CLOSED!
  12. Spotted RANDY (Steve) cruising through Beacon Hill today.... such a serious look when you drive
  13. Why be all worked up over shopping centre car parks ehh? I'm not going to tell anyone what is the correct way because there is none - you own a car, you drive it out, there is an obvious risk no matter how good a driver you are = FACT! That is what insurance is for. I used to be full paranoid about being in a public car park or even on the street... but I soon realized that if it's going to happen, then there's nothing you can do to stop it. Shopping Centre advice: * Park between poles * Park between SMALL cars (Charades, Minis, Civics etc) * Park away from trolley collection points * Park away from any main entries (everyone fights for these spots) * Park on the roof (most remote place of the SC) * Park away from the lift/s * Park away from stupidly large vehicles (vans, 4WD, delivery trucks) * Park in spaces that are against the wall which are parralel As for the $500 box for shopping... only if you are going to use it as a daily driver to save $$$ on fuel as well. Having one just to go to public domains is not very viable, better off getting a kickass bike with a storage bag in the back for your groceries.
  14. No matter how hard I drive or how much I granny the thing... I find that my oil temp gauge is always sitting just a mm over the second indication mark on the stock gauge. I have never seen it rise higher than that temp. I know the gauge is working though - we were concerned about that too Ahh yes, forgot to mention the air locks that occur in the radiator... we copped a PHAT one when we were doing the turbo, had to get it out in its entirety as it wasn't letting ANY coolant go through the engine = DANGER! Maybe check your radiators if your coolant temp is skyrocketing!
  15. Some front bars are made to have ICs behind them... therefore meaning no cutting at all ZERO has PM!
  16. Thanks for all that information guys... I gather from what has been said that the SAFC is sufficient and I shouldn't go waste money on the FCD. Thanks for the help guys!
  17. That's all good... now someone organize a hi-flow cat group buy
  18. Hey mate, there is a full write up on the install of the JJ cooler on my website... In a nutshell for the R34GTT; 1) NEO cover needs to go 2) Stock Snorkel will need to go unless you modify it (FAQ on this too on site) 3) Stronger mounting brackets may need to be fabricated to stop sagging 4) You'll need a hole saw to drill the hole for new piping 5) Splice some hose and use it to "pad" the hole, prevents scratching the new pipe 6) Extensive modification to the front bar is required if it is stock 7) You front bar reinforcement bar will also need to be removed 8) You will have to reposition the horns, I only got one of them in 9) Say good bye to your washer bottle, get an aftermarket one from Autobarn ($30) - works a charm 10) Trim the fan blades a bit at a time, you'll have trouble getting the piping in and closing the bonnet That's about it.... Stan
  19. Hi all, As above I'm after an Oil Temp Gauge with all the fittings and preferably a cup... doesn't need to be big brand name or anything - just need it to work and be pretty good with accuracy. Also looking for an APEXI SITC - I know it's a long shot but can't help but trying... Thanks Stan
  20. Pics of 3.5" piping to satanic @ optusnet . com . au It is flanged is it not?
  21. Someone? Anyone?
  22. Put me down as 2 volunteer "officials" - this part is confirmed. I'll confirm whether or not I'll actually be tracking the car after this Saturday
