  1. anyone good with brakes here ive removed old pads and the piston has come almost fully out and i cant get the prick back in even with the brake line undone and the bleed nipple undone it still will not force back in what the?
  2. 0.63 is the area/ratio for the housing its all relative to the turbocharger size as per what ash said probably 2530 is the best bet just check the turbo isnt shagged being 2nd hand
  3. needs more t67
  4. just starting my day now far out
  5. glad its sorted the ecu is never at fault
  6. the piont is, it can be done if you can be bothered, have no other fuel choice and are prepared to spend some time learning about different setups if you cant be bothered, expect instant results and want to run the same boost and setup as 98 then yeah it wont work, but if you are open to some research and other options then you can do it with comprimises
  7. the smic is rubbish for anything over standard boost if you increase boost, change the intercooler core, simple forget about 200-220rwkw is fine on standard SMIC its not and its ass. its been done to death. find the thread about 4years when rekin tried to keep the SMIC on his 32 and use the 34 SMIC it was ass, we all said it was ass and it was ass. a new FMIC should be around $600 installed ish anyhoo so you would be mad not too
  8. i reckon it could be done but youll be limited by how much boost you can run otherwise you will just comprimise tuning for boost which will give you that doughey effect many people overseas from memory run spazzo power on penis fuel so it can be done if you were going to try i would do a reasonable timing map - maybe even just a bit of a tune of the stock map and then run a small amount of boost and slowly increase boost and go from there intake temp, engine compression and boost will all work against the lower octane so make sure these are managed well ie dont have a hot pod sucking hot air
  9. well done hamish good work ho hum not much long day
  10. sup
  11. who installed the fuel pump did you refit everything exactly is it fully slid back into the bottom of the tank using the slide on the top ceiling of the tank? what pump has been fitted
  12. log all the sensors to a file using ecu talk instead of the guages and post this up what you are looking for is what does IGN TMNG show in the logs and what do the sensors show ie is the AFMV1 doing some stupid or is TPS doing something stupid causing the IGN timing to go spazzo or is it just the guage is being homo (in the software) the logs will tell all
  13. there are some things that make no sense in that thread if the cat temp light is on or engine check light then why does ecu diag return no error? are you sure your doing it correctly? fuel problems dont develop themselves and the main engine basically follows what the throttle and sensors do ie the engine operates and the sensors tell the ECU how much fuel to use etc not the other way around. a f**ked TPS could explain some of the issues you have as could a dirty afm so maybe consult is the best way might be easier to just buy a consult cable - arent they like $50 ? also what magically changed a week ago? what else has been done to the car before this "week ago" have you tried a simple ECU reset?
  14. the afm usually works or doesnt what is the problem you are trying to solve not what is the problem you think you have?
  15. you can probably debug it without consult if AFM is stuffed rev is capped at 2500rpm the engine check light should also stay on

  17. the first pic is horrible the rest look good
  18. just me or does this look like ass? http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/nissan-skyline-1999-12918372?base=1216&vertical=Car&eapi=2&page=1&sort=Price&cr=3&num=15&__N=4294856205%201246%201247%201252%201282%204294963846%204294963593%201216&silo=Stock
  19. haha they are around 1100 delivered brand new with EL hand controller
  20. updated PFC FAQ first update since july last year - apexi are now selling ECR33 and ER34 models brand new - you can buy these from nengun.com including EL hand controller
  21. well obviously..... but the point of the post was nengun.com are stocking and selling brand new powerfcs for ECR33 and ER34 so you can buy it new. this has only changed recently. they were discontinued for about 1.5 years or more
  22. no idea whats happened but apexi are selling ECR33 and ER34 powerfcs new again
  23. out of interest apexi are now selling brand ECR33 and ER34 PFCs - no idea how, or what is different, but nengun stock them again 414BN032 + 415-A030 Nissan - Skyline - ECR33/RB25DET - MT - 93/8-98/4 414BN033 + 415-A030 Nissan - Skyline - ER34/RB25DET - MT - 98/5-01/5 so its no longer "second hand only" for these models, avaialble new, with EL hand conrtoller from most apexi dealers this is the first i have heard of it, but it looks legit

  25. if your going to convert your car, dont bother, sell it and buy a BA dedicated gas model they hold their price, but worth it for all gas conversions it uses more fuel and is less efficienct and it takes longer to fill and its better for the environment but the fuel is cheaper so the benefit is cheaper fuel on avg its about 2 years before you re-coup the costs to fit the LPG system and come out even
