  1. I bought one of these a few weeks ago. 1080p 30fps and 135 degree viewing angle http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002QGSYZ4 $175 is a bargain, I sprung the extra $25 for the suction cup mount. Maybe I should have bought the GPS recording version
  2. Dave, suggest you send an enquiry to Tilton. I cant fnd the link now BUT when I was trying to work this out they had an online form with a long list of parameters for your car. They then replied with suggested master sizes. Was very helpful, Then I went and totally changed my brake setup which made my masters I had already bought, very very wrong.
  3. Just thinking out loud here about removing headlights from dedicated track cars. If I pull the headlights out out of the z32( as well as all their supports) and sheet over them to remove front overhang weight. Would saying the little driving lights (in the front bar) are "headlights" be enough to still allow the scrutuneers to pass the car to run? I know they still require functioning lights. Its just a matter of WHAT WILL DO to pass scrutineering. I am not planning on doing any night racing and wont be entering the 24hr at Daytona BTW. Gonna make some some headlight stickers so it stll looks like it has "REAL" headlights
  4. I was talking to JP at UAS a few weeks ago about the factory Hand Brake assembly. John says rip it out and reduce the unsprung weight. Put back a hydraulic hand brake assembly and plumb it into the rear system
  5. I actually founbd a guy in Perth that has already set up. His charge scales are pretty reasonable first hour $55 second hour $44 third hour $33 fourth hour $11 fifth hour $11 sixth hour $11 seventh and eight hours Free overnight car storage is $22 hours in excess of 8 are changed at $22/hr Looks quite good. I would expect that the open hours would be weekends 8am till 9pm, weekdays 12pm till 9pm or subject to bookings Sort of like Internet Cafe hours. Provided the equipment is well maintained and adequate instruction is given prior to use. And a disclaimer is signed by the user. I think the public liability issues can be covered. Thinking further along. Best to provide a full tool kit for each station. Interested in your comments. Keep em coming. Suggestions??
  6. for the use of a hoist in a workshop. Workshop would have benches, air, tranny lifts, jacks etc etc Degreasing station You supply your own tools, but other specialist tools would be available to hire on site. Quality Oils, lubes, coolant available in bulk on site at good prices Would you use this? and approximately how often?

Apart from weird little huts to sleep in, the Eco lodge is pretty well equiped. They have a big pool and outside BBQ. Seeing you guys will only be sleeping there basically. It will be fine. Have fun
  11. If its running, try FINEMORES. They truck Fords north from Melbourne and a few trucks come back empty. If its not running be prepared to have your ass reamed. Cost me $750 from Dubbo to Melbourne.

  14. I have a set of HKS turbos I removed from a car I am wrecking. I fitted these for this customer 12 months ago and he has only done 10K on them since new. Then a woman wrote his car off for him. No Smoke, No oil, as good as new. One of the Inducers has a chip in it, but I will include a NEW CHRA with the sale. OR I will fit it if you would rather. These are good enough for 700RWHP on an RB26 at 22-28 PSI with supporting mods. These turbos are over 4.5K the pair new. You can have these for $2450 posted to the east coast. PM me Graham
  15. HAs anyone used one of those big diesel vans (like a VW transporter)as a tow car? Its time to trade the Crewman and an enclosed van would be pretty good for work. But will it tow ??
  16. I have upgraded my brakes before using them yet again For sale is a brand new set of Porsche 996 Brembo 6 spot calipers suitable for 350-355mm x 35mm rotors. I was going to use them on my race car but a set of 380mm calipers and rotors came up which I bought as a set. These are brand new and have ceramic pistons. You can actually use the genuine Porsche rotors with a little fiddling and the correct caliper adaptors. $1250 the pair posted to the east coast, of Oz.
  17. I suspected you would do that. I have an M800 ECU and would have dearly loved the MOTEC dash except the price is Had to satify myself with the AIM digital dash which is a lot cheaper and still works off the CAN buss.
  18. Mini's fall over all the time. So many nice toys on MY105. If I had my time again before I started building the Zed. AND could lose 25KG, I would have one of these. http://www.my105.com/ListingDetails/tabid/...62/Default.aspx http://www.my105.com/ListingDetails/tabid/...78/Default.aspx real race cars ROCK. This is nice to http://www.my105.com/ListingDetails/tabid/...71/Default.aspx
  19. Neil, Neil, Neil Listen Tiger, A GT25, 14 PSI, some new pistons dont cost 10K. Do it, You know you want to.
  20. Or Pm me with where you got yours from so I can get a set ?
  21. Dont spose you have a set of rotors and hats that I could buy and use Risking? Running out of cash for new stuff. Did I really need to know about the calipers flexing ?? LOL
  22. I think the easiest way to get what I need rotor and hat wise is to use ALL Porsche parts. The porsche calipers use a very wide pad. Fronts are 65mm wipe width and rears are 50mm which is wide for race pads. Performance friction have reasonable price items so I am leaning that way. Issue is that almost all the race calipers/rotors only have a wipe width of 50mm front and 40mm rear. This cuts down the suitability of 90% the parts on the market. I found that if I use Porsche hats they will fit with a bit of massaging. The centre hole on a Porsch is smaller so they can be machined to fit an R32 hub. The bolt holes can be drilled to fit by turning the hat 20 degrees and drilling another set. The offset is 10mm too far inward. But I think a 10mm spacer behind the rotor would fix that. OR making the dog bones to take into account the extra offset may work as well. Havent checked clearance to the suspension yet. Good thing the calipers are cheap. This is going to take ages to sort out.
  23. I have a set of 996 GT3rs brakes here to use on the track car. The fronts are for 355mm 35 thick rotors and the rears are for 330mm 28 thick rotors. Can anyone give me an lead on reasonably priced hats and rotors to fit an R32 ? Also adaptors for the calipers. I can make em but really cant be bothered.
