  1. confirmation that vettel is in fact a f**kwitt. what a dick head
  2. pretty exciting, Heart is beating pretty fast. Go Webber another fastest lap
  3. Had limited experience with it. Would be nice if it was a touch bigger. I only bought the base model with no logging. But the M800 has inbuilt logging in any case. The alarm functions are very good. The top alarm LEDS are very bright. I hardly have top look at the display when driving. Its easy to configure to just startle you if something is wrong. So you can then look at the display. Its just like a bigger version of Roy's MyChron IMO depending on your ECU and if it has CAN buss. The system is A LOT easier to implement. I think the latest POV can connect via CAN as well and allows the data inset to be recorded within the video.
  4. I was keen on the stack dash purely because of the Tacho being analogue. BUT after researching for weeks about the competitors ended up getting the AIM dash, IMO better and cheaper and still CAN compatible for the M800 to talk to. This was my overriding requirment. Not to duplicate sensors all over the car.
  5. Unfortunately its not the debut of the MY105 zed. Still a heap of work to do on that one. BUT I am getting a bit towey for some track action so did a bit of stuff to the road zed and are going to give it a wack at PI. A few guys from Aus300Zx are going. should be atleast 3 zed's there. So if you are there and see us come say Hi. Cheers Roy.
  6. Who are you and what are you driving ??
  7. Cant get over what a sour POS Vettel turned out to be. Take a loss gracefully you tool, not like spoiled brat. I have lost a lot of respect for him now. I hope Mark continues bend him over.
  8. I was sitting here thinking "dont screw up, dont screw up" Well done Mark.
  9. Those are exactly my calipers. I have been doing a fair bit of reading and are strongly leaning toward the Pagid RS14 Black Now i have had a quick look at your site. What have you in the way of caliper adaptors for a R32 GTR that will suit these calipers? and for what size rotors? I have managed t get a apir of 365mm Alcon rotors for a very good price and would like to use those. lastly while I was test fitting pads the other day. There appears to be A LOT of extra width in these calipers when the pads are fitted . Looks almost enough to fit 40mm rotor in there. What is the design rotor thickness of these calipers? 32mm or 35mm ??
  10. almost to the point of having to select brake pads for my car. I am running porsche 6 pot front calipers on 365mm rotors and porsche 4 pot calipers on 328mm rotors rear on a 1200 KG Z32 Racing will initially be sprints and car has 350-400 RWKW I have looked at the ferodo 3000's but dont think I can get them hot enough quick enough for them to work properly. Pagit yellows ( I like these) Endless ( no idea which one ) Porterfield ( no idea about these ) Project Mu ( no idea about these either) I would prefer a softer pad with less rotor wear. Requirements are to get up to temperature FAST and have a high co-efficent of friction because the cars brakes are unboosted. Can I have peoples thoughts on what pad material in each brand would suit me or your personal experience with what you use? Thanks
  11. OMFG, that long last straight at top speed is breath taking !!!! I just watched it twice and I am worn out. I cant even begine to imagine an endurance race at Nurburgring. I wonder what his heart rate gets up to during that? Looks way faster on the video than I think in real life. The fastest I have ever driven is about 285 in an M3 on the autobahn. It was exhausting after 10-15 minutes. So much concentration required. This looks way faster but I think he only hit 303. Still ;) I really got to go there before I die.
  12. You could try Albins down here in Ballarat. Seeing they make gear boxes and custom parts. They should be able to knock one up OK for a price. http://www.albinsgear.com.au/index.php
  13. I have been busy setting up my TIGstation at home. Collecting and studying all the different stuff is quite a mission. Have a look at " bob the welders " web site for consumables. His filler rods are not badly priced. I also bought gloves from him. http://www.bobthewelder.com.au/home.php?xi...d91809a2b351e07 You can use solid MIG wire as a filler rod for mild steel if you already have that. I bought electrodes from a china seller. Lanthium for steel and Zirconium for alloy. Started with 1.6mm $12 for 10 posted http://industrial.shop.ebay.com.au/i.html?...4095&bkBtn= Also got 1.6mm collets off ebay for a very good price, I bought a 8.7 cubic meter Argon cylinder from BOC. Cost $89 for a fill and $14 a month. Supagas and Liquid air quoted me stupid prices. Bought a new Helmet, My old Speedglass helmet wasnt up to TIG, I wasnt going to pay $500 for a new Speedglass one so bought a CIG one for $285 from Total Tools, Works great. http://www.thermadyne.com/IM_Uploads/DocLi...%20brochure.pdf Also got a bench/ belt sander for sharpening electrodes for $79 off Deals Direct. http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/p/disc-belt-sander/ My welder is an MITEC off Ebay with HF start, pulse, plasma cutter, foot pedal and reg. Seems to have all the good stuff the brand names have. Cost $1400 http://cgi.ebay.com.au/200AMP-AC-DC-TIG-PU...=item563b2db3d0 Cant wait to have some fun, Electrodes havent arrived yet. Also bought a Miller welding student pack which has all the current calculators, course books you will need for TIG, MIG, Stick etc You also get a cool DVD so you can see how its done. http://www.millerwelds.com/resources/tools/
  14. Well done on a top 10 finsh Neil, First time on a track is pretty nerve wracking. How many sessions did you get in? Thanks again for bringing my front bar down with you
  15. I got onto the Miller weld web site in the USA. They have a packaged weld course with DVD and a big box of instruction books for about $60. Its really good too, I just have to get a bottle of gas, some tungstuns and have a play. http://www.millerwelds.com/resources/tools/ Looks like I can see a heap of running weld strips for practice
  16. The A1000 is a pretty full on fuel pump. Its MASSIVE. http://aeromotiveinc.com/products-page/fue...1000-fuel-pump/ Flow graphs are at the end of the link. The alternative is twin 042 bosch But IMO a twin system is overly complex. I am running Stock Z32 TT fuel pump to the swirl pot and A1000 via AN10 lines to the fuel rail. On a RB26 GTR engine its pretty odd that 23PSI would MAX 1000cc injectors, But with a good pump setup a few PSI increase in rail pressure would probabaly fix that. Is he running an RB30 bottom end ? I would have thought 25+ PSI on an RB26 would have been close to maxing 1000cc injectors. Whats his reliability like at that level of boost?
  17. Use a stock GTR pump to feed the Swirl pot. It has a higher flow rate than the 040 or the 042 boch units. Then a high rate pump to feed the fuel rail. Maybe an Aeromotive A1000 450 litres an hour at 42 PSI. 1600cc injectors would be a bit of am overkill even for E85. You are not runnings over 20 pSI are you? 1000cc would prob be better and still have good idle resolution.
  18. I have a new front bar for the race car up there and need to get it to Melbourne. Can anyone stash it in their car for me ?

    Help!

Aznew injectors in SANDOWN here in Vic can do same day. Can I suggest you call em tmorrow and organize to get them do clean them while you wait as you pass through. Pull them out after you get it on the trailer and have them ready. They hand them back cleaned and pre mounted in the rail ready to reinstall.
  20. Thanks for the reply. I have a flat out week. If its Ok I will PM next week.
  21. Johns a nice guy who is very competitive. He really gets the bit between his teeth on comp days and hammers. His purple R33 is pretty quick as well and very nicely turned out. He was in the same garage at P.I. last year.
  22. I have come to the conclusion that a lot of the parts that where custom made I got with the partially finished car are not really what I need. I have intercooler pipes to make, Fuel pump/swirl pot enclosures, cold air boxes, stainless dumps. I bought a nice TIG for welding alloy etc. But I have tried to weld alloy before at a mates factory and it is bloody hard to get a good finish and good joint. So I spose I just need a bit of help setting up the machine so I understand what all the adjustments are and how you use them. Also someone to give me a bit of a hand slap till I get the hang of it. Might go and do a tig course in the next month or so but I dont really want to wait that long to at least practice. I can recompense by doing electrical stuff on your car. It says I am qualified on the bit of paper I have here. pm SENT
  23. Is there anyone around Berwick or Narre Warren who could give me a bit of instruction with a TIG welder for alloy and stainless ? I have good equipment but not good enough skills. I have a race car to finish and one way or another i am going to be making parts for it.
  24. I am pretty interested in peoples responses to this question. Can you all please post up what you have actually ended up with on your cars? And what car it is. I am keen to get results for R32 GTsT's
