I sincerely doubt you would get the case thrown out based on it was unconstitutional in the lower courts. Some guy quoting some bits from the constitution would just get laughed at. You'd expect someone would have brought up that argument with the criminal confiscation laws which allow you to be sentenced for the offence and the DPP then grab your assets even if it wasn't derived from the crime. Unless you provide some details of the case and it's not just 'a friend of a friend told me' then it is useless spreading that rumour. And if it is true, why not tell everyone so that people can use the defense or have the laws changed? Really, if it did get thrown out it would be appealed all the way to the High Court by the government to decide if it was unconstitutional as the news would be all over the case and today tonight would be having a cry.

sbyder is probably right...I take it the guy gave you the "I can't comply it but hey it's real easy if I transfer it to you with this new VIN and you get a cheap ride" line? Short story is if he can't comply it, there's no way you can so I would give up on ever using the car. If not getting your money back is an option (e.g. he's gone or you knew it was like this) then best thing to do is hope the parts are in good condition and part it out and sell the shell to the wreckers. Get as much back as you can and then save up for one from a reputable dealer. Hey, I know the lure of a good deal may be too hard to resist, but you will learn from your mistakes

chances are he is a sub contractor, not an employee. He is therefore responsible for all insurance on his vehicle. The 'employer'/head contractor won't give a crap about your predicament in that case. If he has ignored letters of demand then it's time to just initiate legal proceedings against him personally as driver and on his company (not the removalist company but the sub contractor's company) quickly before he bails. This is of course assuming he has money to give in the end. If he doesn't, there's really little you can do. If he is an employee, then you can sue the removalist company and deem them vicariously liable. But that's unlikely (unless the truck is actually owned by the removalist company in which you have recourse against the owner). Best to chat with a lawyer in your jurisdiction.

i've got a JVC KD-DV4306 which I just popped in there which plays DVD's but does not have a screen. Due to safety issues i'm not super fussed if I cannot connect it to the MFD but if not I wouldn't bother with a a/m screen. So the MFD is locked to region 2? not sure how a cable is locked to region 2, if so does that mean it can be rewired to region 4?

anyone got the lead being part number 855-5430-00 to connect a dvd player up to the R34 GTR MFD? or...anyone know a place that has any in stock or...worse case can car audio shops still order it? thanks!

that is actually smugmug itself, if you go to www.smugmug.com you'll see. It's basically paid storage, but it is unlimited storage. Has pro style features such as your own domain, etc. if needed (www.lumensphotography.com) but the main thing is you can setup what is private/public easy and even sell pictures through there like istockphotos. It's about $100 a year. Just looking at my stats it says Photos uploaded: 113351 | Disk space used: 413.57 GB lol. Also, pretty much unlimited bandwidth to download e.g. This month > Photos viewed: 137635 | Bandwidth used: 16.88 GB. I saw some other people with cams on the day, noone got any more pics? (specifically of me )

on the other hand, you might try putting in a vspec II nur bonnet...aren't they CF? Seems like that may be legal as it is allowed on Nur's. of course noone will probably know it is CF because it is painted except for the NACA duct.

What Ronin says is right, if it hasn't been ADR approved it's illegal. Even though non-standard stuff may be just as safe, safer, or better than stock the fact that it hasn't gone through all the tests means it cannot be placed on your car. It's the reason some cars aren't imported into here (or at excessive cost) because manufacturers can't justify the high cost of compliance for a high volume import.

anyone found a retro fit solution? Also, are these parts interchangeable? i.e. will the above parts and solutions work with the R34? my driver's side window is starting to develop some scratches. The window tinter advised me that it is a flaw all pillarless window designs develop as they have to have stronger holders and guides for the window because there is no frame. The greater pressure means it wears out quicker than most door windows. He says the Magna had the same problem with pillarless windows.

Work orders are there to allow the cops to issue notices for 'suspected' defects. The point is the cop doesn't need any knowledge of motor vehicles that's why the work order is there so that you have to get it checked out by someone who does. My brother and brother-in-law are cops and they say they can yellow sticker a brand new car if they wanted to, but most cops aren't that bad. My brother-in-law is a car nut and he gives canary's out to cars with illegal mods only (and commodore drivers ). Just to bring this old thread alive, for about 200-220awkw would anyone recommend a power fc d jetro over the standard power fc? Also, is it worth getting a HKS, Apexi, etc. cat/exhaust vs some cheaper x force type brand? From a little research I'm thinking an upgraded panel filter, down pipes, hi flow cat/metal cat, 3" exhaust and pfc djetro should be sufficent for now and should I be bitten by the bug for more power I don't want to have to upgrade stuff later. My theoretical maximum I would want to take it to is 300-330awkw (I know I know I say that now )
