  1. are you gonna get better times next time? shooting between 10am to 3pm is probably the worse time to take pics because the sun is too bright. pray for overcast conditions or rain
  2. ah it's tripod shots too easy...do it handheld like proper shots bg a bit messy, open the aperture and reduce the vignetting. nice and contrasting though.
  3. yeah of course in NZ a V35 can be had for $10k. are there even many local car sellers now? Would think there can't be that many, not that there was much of a domestic market anyway so they may as well concentrate on something their good at like sheep
  4. need some dish, get the XD9
  5. sounds good...ur tog won't mind I would like to take some snaps of my own? see if I'm up for it after wedding nite before
  6. this still for sale? nice car, nice pics what's the reason for the sale anyway?
  7. the UK love their skylines too and I think are the only ones apart from Australia that got 'factory' delivered GTR's. I would think they would have quite a few road registered ones running around. Given the relative rarity of the skylines it would be interesting to see which countries have what numbers.

    Photoshoot

I wouldn't mind although I'll be away from mid to late april. I would also like to take some shots with my cam, if he doesn't mind having others take pics as well as I do a spot of photography
  9. so this cruise is still on for tonight then? might get some mates to come along in their rex or falcodores if that's alright. how many ppl thinking of going so far? can ya give us a rough indication of where the cruise will be headed to?
  10. to answer a couple of PM's I got...the screen works fine to play region 4 encoded (australian) dvd's, and can play PAL or NTSC dvd's that are burnt copies. The unit itself can also do divx, mp3, wma, etc. The headunit does the work in converting the final signal to NTSC so that it can be output onto the GTR's MFD which can only show NTSC (PAL signal makes the screen B&W and interlace). the cable that Chris has makes a RCA socket available on the MFD, no soldering or anything like that needed. Just pop the MFD out and connect the cable up to the composite out on a headunit. Just make sure the headunit you have can output to NTSC and all you'll need is the cable. here's a dodgy phone pic of it in action...
  11. people will steal anything these days, even if it IS bolted down maybe should have taken the opportunity to get riced replacements like the CF treatment?
  12. true a modded F6 is easy to make, nice and cheap. Here there is one that runs 10's with 440rwkw. Mods cost all up $8k which is peanuts relative to trying to mod a GTR.
  13. Hurray sourced the part number from Chris Rogers (big up man, thanks alot!) and installed it into the GTR and now I got DVD running through the MFD! sweet...all you need is a deck that outputs composite in NTSC and the above clarion part. I bought a JVC KD-DV4306 which is a single DIN headunit that can play dvd's. As it has no screen you have to get an external one, so $199 for the headunit and the cable to the GTR's MFD and DVD with divx playback! works great! Also means I could get rid of the 2 DIN japan HU and put a pocket in for some space to put my phone. Hurray!! Recommended! If anyone wants pics of it (it's nothing special) just ask.
  14. Replace with some 3A Racing pods...much better and significantly cheaper. trust me...google them you will find the reviews.
  15. give you an indication my mate and I went to the drags, him in a tuned BAII F6 which made 270rwkw and I in my bone stock R34 GTR (maybe 180atwkw?). I ran 13.7, he ran 13.8. At the end of the day are you talking track or drag? Drag would be closer, track is no contest, the GTR would have it. The main downside is traction and weight, the brakes on the F6 fade quite fast with all that bulk on a track.
  16. place camera in continuous focus mode for moving objects. I think you set your A300 properly but on one of the 'auto' program modes. should make ok pics the way it is just gotta pre focus and focus on object. use a narrower apeture better depth of field to allow a greater amount in focus.
  17. clean it up and maybe drop the brake light to the bottom of the window? less obstruction and neater if it's at the bottom i would think
  18. can you confirm cost + shipping to me in WA (6000) was tempted to get one of these 5W ones, if they were any good : http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...em=200315242097 what ya reckon?
  19. off topic a bit but I took a few pics at last year's V8 supercars I think that R32 looks familiar, would it be the one at the rear of this pic: got some more pics if anyone wants them (without the watermark) browse at here
  20. wow that is nicely done, shame it is probably still running the M35 running gear. that would have taken a fair amount of time and effort to make that one off.
  21. totally off track but I'd be interested in getting one sent to me in WA if someone will post it from my experience 0.5W is useless, 1W is the bare minimum if you lose sight of someone (isn't that the point of them?). Also, not sure about Vic laws, but here in WA it is illegal to even touch your mobile phone whilst driving (even while stationary) however there is an exception for CB radios, so really you can chatter away on your CB and not worry at all Which to me is stupid, but really it's not any harder to use than a phone while driving.
  22. how much you reckon to send it to WA? If you want to
  23. slightly off topic I hear the R34 dump pipes are better, true?
  24. I'm sorry but the S2000 will be quicker on the track and on the strip relative to an R33 GTS-T...an R33 GTR on the other hand is much more of a contest (assuming both are stock of course)
  25. sure an M spec is easier to live with but you know the V spec is the faster car and in a performance car the higher performing versions always attract a premium in terms of vintage value. Just look at the N1 versions
