what are those pistons then ACL NZ said they didnt make any pistons that would produce that comp ratio and ACL Aussie said they didnt either
-
whats the compression ratio for the engine? otherwise the specs would suggest your going to make some pretty serious power, definitley much more than what your at now. Id be gutted if it made less than 350rwkws on 1 bar
-
been talking to my tuner about this today and he has reccomended getting hold of some mitsi evo coils or even just general mitsi coils as apparently they have incredibly good spark anyone used these before?
-
hey mate, whats the part number of the acl pistons your using?>

The Next Ecu To Dominate The Sau Community?
SirRacer replied to pear's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Why dont you guys have a look at a linkg3 http://www.linkecu.com/products/engine-man...g3-whatdoesitdo Ive heard before re the ecu have only 4 coil outputs and that being a problem so i asked the question in the link forums http://www.linkecu.com/forum/forums/LinkWishList/768054573 A plug in adaptor can be made for 400 nzd and the computer is around 1370nzd -
here is the pic of mine without the top cover
-
to those that said z32, its actually a downgrade
-
heres another good one which shows how big the spacing bit on the manifold is
-
thats an rb30 manifold and the skyline ones are much different and there really isnt any possible area to tap into which will have even flow can a few people post some pics of top mount setups to give me an idea on whether modifying this manifold will possibly work. if you look at some of the pics the collectors finish and then there is the kind of spacer bit which mounts the turbo up higher. if i cut that off and remount the flange lower down i should be able to stop the turbo another 5cms so then it will only be 5cms above the rocker cover, will this work? this is a pic of how it could sit if it was dropped a bit
-
this one here is stamped xspower yet they look the same. ss autochrome dont do the top mounted ones anymore http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C.../p-34161484.htm

when i brought the thing i knew it would be high but unless you really have an engine to mount it on you dont really have any ideas im not bothering with the stock manifold as there is no where there where i can plumb in an external with descent flow and im not prepared to cut into the comp housing. a spacer pushed the turbo basically into the side of the strut tower where are some links of the other ones?

My Bro's S14 Dynoed.... Now Crappy
SirRacer replied to blackprincegts's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
maybe read my post about 2 above then go back to finding out some real information car has been running like that for the last 2 and a half years -
ok then, ill just post up bullshit for the hell of it. the same guy (Lithium) on here went for a ride in it and i know the owner of the car. its on pump gas at 20psi running a power fc with map sensor (rb26 one). i didnt believe it but there is the dyno sheet, someone has seen the car run on the dyno and at the drags and its going to be featured in nz performance car magazine sometime soon. proof? read your compressor maps all you want but at the end of the day all your going to be is an internet mechanic who can argue all day long about something you know little about. ill find out the mph so you can do some calculations or something

My Bro's S14 Dynoed.... Now Crappy
SirRacer replied to blackprincegts's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
an s14 is my daily driver car so i know a thing or 2 about them mine has 187rwkws with exhaust, filter, intercooler, de throttle body and computer with injectors, nothing else fuel pump is fine to 200kws. the stock injectors start to play up around the 170rwkw mark and learn the engine out. my car hated the boost restrictor being removed so i put it back in. what were the afr's? based on what you have said it should be fine. swap the ecu for another cars one and try that -
that dyno is known to read maybe a few kws more than others here but definitley not in the vicinity of 80 which i would have thought the limit would have been. i still didnt believe it however a mate of mine went for a ride in the thing and said it was scary (hes been in lots of 400kw cars before). it did run a 10.8 (maybe 10.6) so that confirmed it for me. it has stock internals with a headgasket, greddy intake and cams 260's (no porting)
-
20 psi. i rubbished it and said its bs for ages as well but the car runs 10.8 in street trim http://www.japaneseperformanceparts.com/images/450.JPG

Just got my manifold the other day in the mail and thought id dummy it up on my setup tonight. Yes it is one of those horrid stainless manifolds however the price i paid for it means i could break 4 of them and still be in the clear. Suprisingly it seems relatively well made and a mate whos a welder (does commercial stuff) says the welds are suprisingly good. My one problem is where it mounts my turbo. I dont have my intake manifold with me and its in storage however im just wanting to see whether this is going to cause me a massive problem. Im quite open to cutting a hole in the bonnet or spacing it down however was then worried about what could happen when it rained etc or the airflow of the gasses would be interrupted. Can people post their setups and give me ideas on what i can do. Ive thought about cutting down where the turbo is mounted Engine is rb30det (r32) with a .82 GT3540r. I have tried to fit it on my stock manfold and because of the wastegate this is the best option
-
a guy here in NZ has a .82 gt3540r running 450rwkws on an rb25det (stock internals to)
-
ill keep you posted for comparisons sake in a few months im doing gt3540 .82 housing with q45 power fc and an aftermarket manifold. will add another dimension to the results
-
sydneykid was building rb30's before RIPS and says the inlet poses no restriction. in the thread you posted up re the plenum the results were not considerable enough to put it down to that as being a restriction.
-
it doesnt touch the door (ive done it) but the lines do get a tad rough. With a coat of matt black no one can tell Have got the proper guards now myself
-
Im in NZ and have brought parts of NENGUN before and they are really good Would thoroughly reccomend

Rb25de Non Turbo Manual Gearbox Question
SirRacer replied to James_03's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
same gearbox as the rb20det this is in the wrong section however -
the laufiro conversion is easy and looks pretty cool (have it done on my cef) get the parts from nz as you could get guards bonnet, lights, grill etc for about 200nzd
-
what would you use an ignitor for and what msd part no and price?
