  1. Ill go and get a picture of my head this week and post it up. So will i simply need to tap into there and run my line directly into the turbo from there, and then once its finished back into the slot in the block? Is this how they run factory? Im really not sure, where they get their feeds and so on from. I always thought the block one was it and never thought re the return. The smaller things are becoming the annoying ones in getting my engine going. Thanks for the help. If you dont mind getting some pics, id be very greatfull. The engines at the fabricator and hes screaming out where to take the water from and i cant tell him at present as im so bloody confused.
  2. Just looking through the r32 service manual and it says water outlet so i would presume this is where the water is taken from, not sent to? Is yours done like this Joel?
  3. sounds stupid to me. hack the loom up and ill sell you another one for 50 bucks. or you could go and spend 1500+ on a new computer and loom
  4. Hey Shaun, do you have any pictures of where the water return goes into on the other side? Thanks Byron
  5. Thanks mate, are there any specific measurements i should be telling my engine builders about where to mount it. Any reason you also didnt go with tapping it as per everyone else? Your way does look pretty well done, im just a bit worried its going to get mucked up once i drop the engine off. Cheers
  6. Is this any different at all for an rb25. Can cubes or one of the GT series rb25de head guys post up where they have fed they water return into Thanks Byron
  7. Hey Bernie, Cheers for the reply. Is the tensioner tapped in the same place as all teh pictures? Thanks
  8. ive got a 3.5inch system in the build with cannon and am struggling to find any 3.5 inlet mufflers without paying 500 each
  9. Just interesting in seeing whether anyone has used the cam belt from a 1.7 Mazda Diesel engine which apparently fits and RIPS in NZ is using. The shop that sells his parts sold me one, and im just wanting to know whether it fits like the rest. What sort of hosing should i run as my oil/water feeds and what fittings am i likely to need also. Im going to be running a wasted spark setup on my car with evo coils, so ill keep everyone posted with the results
  10. I was discussing this with a mate the other day and i honestly dont know the pro's and cons of a reground cam. Would anyone like to enlighten me?
  11. its a real shame you tried to sell the manifold to people (like your pm to me) knowing that is was f**ked
  12. I dont know what planet your on but Rb30's are running around everywhere running more than 1 bar boost and 500hp with stock internals. One car in NZ running stock pistons ran 10.4 and is still going strong 4 years after the engine was put together. It ran 475kws (nitrous fed and turboed) and still is together now?
  13. i dont think it needs to be extended at all. the r33 box is slightly longer anyways so i dont see 100mm or so difference making any problems
  14. where would i find pics of quite a few other turbo manifold placings as im getting a custom one done for my car and want to get an idea of where the bigger turbo guys place their turbos (removing power steer or not)
  15. What series rb head is this? If its the r32 series head ring Allen at performacesprings.com.au and ask him for some of the springs he sent to the dude last week from NZ. Cheers
  16. Personally i think its suffering from stock car syndrome. I drove an r33 gtr earlier this year and i found it very slow. I remember mentioning to Lithium on the net later that i was very dissapointed. My s14 was much faster simply due to the weight difference which i think is your problem here also.
  17. Is paying 30 bucks for the 2 bolts and return a good price also?
  18. What other things will i need when mounting the turbo(ive got an na block). if i get get the water and oil feeds and the oil return so i also need some sort of metal fitting before this can then flow off onto braided line? Anyone else got any good pics?
  19. Hey there, Just wanting to know whether someone can point me in the direction of the fittings i need to buy for my rb30. The engine isnt near me at present so id love to be able to buy fittings and when im next near the thing, put the fittings on. So the oil return one im after, as well as the oil feed and water feed fittings. If you can just let me know the size etc that would be superb. Cheers Byron
  20. i dont know about you guys but all of the rb cam covers and timing covers are interchangable and the block isnt massively different in height (not that an old school mechanic would notice) so why do you need to? perhaps thats a very NZ attitude, but i dont plan to cert my rb30det. With rb20 timing cover it should be fine!
  21. Bang on. Pull clutches are used in the 33 gtr and the 33 gtr also has a different crank
  22. Glenn is the guys name. Ring them and he will sort you out. http://www.dodsonmotorsport.com/contact.htm
  23. I found a place in NZ who does a replacement part to convert the r33 box speedo to suit r32 I spoke to him today and mentioned Navara parts and he said he didnt use them yet mentioned it was genuine nissan and they had never had problems. 75 NZD and www.dodsonmotorsport.com
  24. Is it worthwhile cost wise investing in a purge kit? If im going to be running a small 60/80hp setup will i also need a nitrous gauge? Do you guys also run a seperate nitrous pump if im going to be running an 044 from a surge tank
