  1. ive got an hks superdrager on my s14 and it sounds absolutely mint. no drone yet sounds touch and is reasonably quiet one cannon muffler and a tiny one, no cat
  2. cheers for the replys. hopefully ill score it this week and then ill let you know how it works out a new bellhousing is 250nzd and the box i dont think will be over 150nzd so 400 for a gearbox may be a good deal. i agree that there may be a few slightly broken bits on it but these gearbox's are so rare these days its probably worth the purchase
  3. how are the internals likely to be stuffed by an impact?
  4. the r32 trans doesnt look like the bellhousing can be swapped but the r33 one does. i presume we'd also have to find another r33 bellhousing which probably is as hard to find as the box
  5. I am able to get an r33 gtst transmission that has been involved in an accident. Other than the bellhousing being in a million pieces the trans previously worked fine and had done low kms. I dont know alot about nissan gearbox's but can the bellhousing be replaced for another one. So say for example if i get this gearbox can i swap another bellhousing onto it and use that? Or would it simply be a parts box Cheers Byron
  6. its definitley happening and im getting some free tickets hopefully. the problem with lakeside dragway in taupo is that its rather high altitude wise there. we will see some great racing but a new record is unlikely
  7. cheers dude, got any pics though?
  8. give ray at gizzmo a call and he will sort you out, hes a good bloke.
  9. can anyone confirm whether this is the stock standard gtr resistor pack http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q95/mrlith/res_pack.jpg
  10. dimensions are 860x430 (rb20 box but 25det) is the same
  11. any updates on this? still looking to get dimensions thanks
  12. have a look at an ecu called a linkg3. its the newest link on the market and for the price is very competitive.

i decided to start out with a craig david thing of sorts which isnt going all to badly. will start trimming towards then end of the month. the slug or the handlebars is such a tough decision. go paul snr, now that is a mo
  14. if you want acl rb30e pistons with chromoly rings the part number is 6mkry2799 6kry2799 is normal without chromoly rings
  15. im with telling them to get a job. in some ways NZ is great. a 15 year old can drive a 10 second car with no problems.
  16. ill keep everyone posted but i plan on getting 350rwkws from a standard rb20det manifold
  17. i was certain that acl didnt make a forged piston that worked for the rb30det. their shop in nz said they didnt and when i contacted acl in aussie they also said they didnt???
  18. s15 480cc injectors work also
  19. cheers for the info anyone have dimensions handy also. my rb20det box is stored a few hours from where i live so measuring it isnt really an option thanks
  20. i live in NZ and shipping something the weight of a clutch probably wouldnt be worthwhile so i was just interested theoretically as various "experts" have such differing opinions. I would ring Jim however the chance of me buying something off him is small and i dont want to waste his time. There are second hand clutches galore around at the moment. If i was to buy a nismo twin plate how much approximately is the rebuild costs on something like that. Cheers
  21. Im looking at importing a gearbox from Japan as r33 boxes have hit the 3k New Zealand mark now and am just wondering whether anyone has any idea on the dimensions and particular the height of one of these gearboxs. Any help of even comparisons would be a great help. Box would be a gtst box Thanks
  22. what kind of plenum as they are pretty limited for the r32 design. id be very keen to see how it goes. PS i plan on breaking that SAU r32 record in a few months time
  23. what are you guys paying for your clutches $$$ wise?
  24. GCG used a 38mm tial for an rb30 with gt3566 producing more than 320kws at the wheels and it was fine search for sydneykids thread re wastegate sizing. the rayglass datsun drag car 7.98 seconds uses a 40mm wastegate for your info
