think we posted at the same time. buttons yep. at $550 for the assembly I do not see you lining up for them anytime soon. I have bought the buttons in the past and that was the price at that point in time. if you do buy them they will have to come out of the USA. japan can't buy them and the local nissan dealer cannot either. as for the kenwood idea - DVI gets in the way! forget trying to get the buttons to run with it. unless you can code in POSIX and J1850 or CAN its not going to happen.

should have been done. most of them that I witnessed coming through had the brakes and rotors done. some people sidestepped this and I dare say if you looked at your tyres they would bethe age of your car unless you changed them recently. to answer your original question - get the brakes looked at first.

think you will run into with the USDM vs JDM is the video format (nismo I think I covered this with you.). if you did get the USDM item then it would be best to get one that is harnessed as that is the only way you will get it to run. JDM runs DVI and the USDM is analog video. now to complicate matters if you have the 3 cameras that will take them out as well. a solution is being done by our russian friend but that is a way off.

to be honest if I want your car I'll break into your house find the keys and drive off.. no amount of wiring things stops that if I have the remote. now if the alarm has a hidden switch that works in conjunction with the remote then its probably going to slow me down a bit. (autowatch do this.) now if I dont really care I'll key the crap out of it and trash the thing as a I can't get it so you are going to have it payback. key point here. insurance. if someone wants your car bad enough it will disappear. all an alarm will do is slow them down. troy, agreed.

I have personally bupassed several of these installs within a minute of getting in the car. siren screaming away and the car is running. do agree with the rock comment. seen that in action and the owner simply turns the alarm off. doesnt work with those alarms that have anti falsing built into them though. corrected for accuracy.

OEM immobiliser built into the key of some nissan vehicles. if its there then no key = no start.

90 or 180 is the default on them.

leave one lying around for more than 15 min and I'll tell you seriously if it does not have NATS 2.8 or NATS 5 then its a sitting duck as far as I'm concerned. after market immobilisers unless they are fitted properly aren't really worth anything. that said mate of mine owns a tiltray and I can drive one..
