that (ebay link) would be a start. thing being the jap versions are TOTALLY different. the USDM uses analog video the japs use digital video. if you can find one with the harnesses attached then yu are in with a chance. other issues come into play though. if it has 3 cameras on it then you need to work out how to get those back in to the system. still no navi. radio is still slightly out on AM. unit in the V36 is the same unit as used in the jap GTR. as for a fix - not to my knowledge.

I agree with the seats - horrible is the nice way of saying it. even when I drove the car I could not get in the right spot to move the car. stickers - there is a Greddy one kicking around here as well. same issue. the yard had issues selling it till they pulled the stickers off.

something a bit bigger/better than stock will be fine. most of them tned to die after 2-3 yrs of use. gear is fine.

they fixed a lot of electrical issues on the 2nd gen ones 3rd gen (2006) they changed again. thing being the radio was an issue in the 01-03. 04 they changed the CD stacker in them and from there they updated the locks and window gear as well. your idea of buying a later car is valid. buy a 2006 if you can afford one. forget about the frilly radio/navi. buy the car for the car.

ME? I can get the stock popups easy enough. from there you can hang your own screen in it.

ok aslong as the deadening is done properly and the gains set correctly I do not see an issue. if you make a false wall you can put all the gear in it (this is the panel in the rear boot that I am talking about.) cabling may be a bit of overkill since the battery is in the boot anyway. one thing- new battery if you have not already done so.
