  1. for those interested. have found a DROP IN replacement screen. unplug yours and wire this into place. gives reverse camera and two video inputs. fits neatly into the stock hole and pops the screen up when you hit reverse (stock unit is on the left.)
  2. rianto, I'm working with hardware here. currently have a sedan tuner and thats different (physically) to yours. once I find a coupe one (with wiring.) I'll attack it. command wise they are the same from what I can see. (proven by swapping ROM boxes.)
  3. new one. that one looks almost dead. piss off the cable setup as well. that is half your issue.
  4. pre 88 - ring QT or TGVI in darra. should be straight forward.
  5. been nutting this out for a while (it got political so I never went further with it ) but as a matter of interest would any one like to control the digital TV box they have (I'm assuming asuka here.) by the FACTORY buttons? a simple yes or no answer is what I am looking for. I do NOT how much does it cost questions.. for those that think this is going to be a lead - its not. (think emulation and you will be somewhat on the correct path.) thoughts?
  6. see also carmen imports here in brendale. he can do them properly as well.
  7. thats a GOOD one! NEVER seen that. go buy a new actuator and mount it properly to the door. was this done locally?
  8. welcome to shortcuts for cheap compliance
  9. drivers fuse panel.
  10. jon, yet to see any sort of failures in post 04 cars. most of them are due to age. the pretensioners in the seatbelts are first to go and then the seat bags. both toss codes and both are not cheap to fix properly. last car I had like this the repair will was in excess of $4k for new bags ex japan.
  11. bumper and headlight is the correct way. you can get at it by leaning the inner guards out of the way but if the ballast has been pulled OUT then its a front off exercise. I do the simple way if I CBF'd ripping off the front.
  12. to answer your original question - yep there is a reverse feed back there. clipping it on these cars though will screw with the display. leave it there and ignore it.
  13. +1. gauge is a bit of a prick to pull. however since you asked: remove lower dash - 10mm bolt remove column shround - 6x philips drop column down to lowest level. remove ENTIRE cluster head - 4x10mm bolts(under side) and 3 harnesses. split clulster from housing - 4 x philips screws. that should get you to the point of splitting the thing. be VERY careful splitting it as yo WILL FK a guage VERY easily.
  14. this is an insight for those of you that keep fiddling with the door switch to get rid of that pesky airbag light. the pretensioners or seat bags are stuffed - time to get the wallet out. (2001-2004 versions. never seen it on a 2005+ yet.)
  15. shan, give me a call please. want to chat (I have some work for you as well.)
  16. nah ETC (toll tags) - rip it out. could also be a VICS unit. same idea - remove it.
  17. PAL vs NTSC - the screen is NTSC and the JVC unit will output both.
  18. nope and it will not. JVC will do it.
  19. that is exactly why you do not play with the electronics on one of these things. what were you trying to tie the LED to?
  20. I have a mate that may be able to help.
  21. you haev navi, no work around for that one. the MFD is in english the navi /tv is not.
  22. micah, press the enter button when you first start the car. should fix it.
  23. I agree there. I still like the 30 min one though.
