  1. not going to happen. most units costr over that.
  2. troy, because its cool to have - everyone knows that.. that market died a LONG time ago. also unless the have a totally DEAD room you are not going to hear any difference. a car is FAR from that. every thing in a car is a trade off. want more speed - lighten it and it becomes louder. deaden it and its quieter but you notice the speed difference.
  3. G, have the other her as I said. will be here after 5 - pop past and I'll dump it for you.
  4. luke, yep! give me a call in the morn and we'll go from there. I do a lot of autoelectrical repairs on these cars. number is in sig.
  5. wayne, search please plenty of info on this topic in here. I even posted the answer to that EXACT question in this thread!
  6. yep! its on a separate server but I have done several with and with out bose. the only visual difference is your radio is in place of the orginal. send me an email and I'll flick a few shots your way.
  7. nope its age. the answer is in the FAQ I wrote. F0 = guides, gears, loading trays - and that is only the start of it. best solution (though you lot bitch about spending $$) is to rip the lot out and go aftermarket. BOSE is NOT an issue. the 6CD mech is about $900 now and I'm still waiting on one ex japan for a customer (thats been 6 months!) Now despite what you may think or have been told: screen can be kept its NOT part of the radio OEM panel CANNOT be reused unless you are doing a CAR PC or the like and are doing a lot of custom work. (you still need the A/C controller.) Bose gear (amps and speakers) can be kept with a decent inteface (not the shit off ebay.) and it will work fine and have decent volume. I do the panel sets for them and have part numbers for all colors of the dash. its as easy as asking me.
  8. once you get all the contacts sorted (AU & NZ) I'll put the page I have done in place on my site. currnetly its the video, images and the 3 original contacts. as for versions OTHER than the 01-04.5 - its a waiting game. the developer has more pressing cars (E51 El grand is one of them.) I know he's working on CKV36 as well.
  9. nah its almost dead. keep an eye on it.
  10. NZ started the minute this went on line. I get 2-3 requests a week from NZ. perth is now online as well with nigel danson (DRIFTT) doing them.
  11. raid this: http://psedog.com/cars/fsm/g35/sedan/
  12. you need it for a sedan. the coupe is entirely different. find a 2003 sedan one. that will be somewhat correct. short of getting the proper jap manuals for it thats as close as you will get.
  13. +1. craig walker Carmen imports 07-3881-1800 [email protected] mention me. whilst its there I'll do the language fix,FM radio and security system on it for you. PM for what I can do to these cars at that stage. bear in mind price is not a good comparison on a shops work. some cut corners in a rather dramatic way.
  14. you do not. the didn't see these cars until 2003 in the usa. principle is the same though most of it will not match in you case with a 2.5lt.
  15. in short - no. if price is concerning you - dont do it. there are 3 units on the market - Garmin, clarion and HITV. the last one is a bit iffy on output. the clarion is decent but CVBS out only. the GARMIN is RGB out and will do a far better job. you were quoted the prices due to the time the jobs take. its not a 30 min hack install.. ( you bought this car becuase it was a nice flashy car and you are not going to let a 16 y/o work experience kid work on the thing are you ) pay the money and get it done right or dont do it at all. as for requrements on NTSC google NTSC tv standards, that may not make a lot of sense to you though. (that is the question you actually asked.)
  16. I have started pulling them out here in Qld. did a 4wd and a 911 both inside a week.
  17. so you sent him the book?
  18. same as pulling a radio out of one. there is a tutorial up top for it.
  19. the car will not run for a bit... about 2-3 seconds under load. as for cutting the coil outside - why bother. that makes it SO easy to locate and bypass. do something trick with a relay or two on a few key circuits. far better. I have a self arming circuit that would do the trick but by the sound of you (no offence) I do not think you have a grasp on electronics so trying to explain it would be hard. I have a big book of relays somewhere (troy if you have the ME mag book I'm talking about send this guy a copy.) flick me an email addy and I'll toss it your way.plenty of kill circuits in it.
  20. actually since you are around the corner from me - pop past with a USB stick and I'll toss them on it.
  21. give me a bit I'll have a dig. how big is your email box. I have them in PDF form.
