you mean the alpine/nissan dealer fitted item. thats a piece of crap that should have been pulled when they did the job. it does nothing more than lay on the horn. leon, they still adhere to ADR 82/00. depends on the RAW as well. some dodge it some comply. mind you some of the adr immobiliser fitments I haev seen over the years still scare the shit out of me. (and wondering how the didnt destroy or burn the car down!) CKV 36 is a different critter. I helped a local RAW out with that one as I didn't feel like dicking around with a CAN powered car.

for what it is the average punter is happy. for the SQ nuts it sux. the doors are paralled with a cap on the tweeter. if its bose audio they will be 2ohm or less. bose did this to get more power (figuratively) from their amplifiers. some of them are 1 ohm.

given that a bass wave is rather long (in some cases 30ft!) and you have it right behind you - are you going to get 'best effect' vs having it far away as possible (IE boot.) ? that wave needs to expand to really be felt/heard.

ok then you really need to look at a jaycar USB interface kit. that would make your life a lot easier. the smart entry module on those mainly controls lights and warning chimes.

get northshore or nagoya motors to source it. both can source clean cars for a price.
