  1. for those interested I have a ETC navi version here up for grabs. this will be sold on an exchange basis only.
  2. yes. swap the blue wires around on the rear of it. one is amp ctl and the other is ant ctl. you have the amp ctl wire in use.
  3. considering what is about to happen to another van - maybe never.
  4. I will say that the V series car you can tell if they have been clocked. the speed pluse and odmeter do not work. (found this out the hard way after doing cruise on one and it had NO pulse at the cluster!)
  5. ok what are we doing? I'm set to do this run about the 18th and need to know.
  6. andy, been busy glovebox/ROM removal: remove side trim 1 screw. unclip lower trim panel - set aside. lower inner corner of glovebox panel - 1 screw. open glove box - 4 screws crack glove box out unclip light , push airbag connector to left - it will slip off the mount. remove glovebox remove visible screws under navi panel. grab from left and GENTLY crack it out of place - get too rough and I'm not buying you another unclip ETS box 2 screws in navi unit - remove 2 screws rear botton of navi unit - remove. unplug/ remove unit. NOW if you are pulling apart a car I have done be careful as there are extra modules taped inthe the nav harness or around it. for those that want the jap girl to talk again - not happening. that is a byproduct of the navi refit. some of the cars WILL talk regardless but 90% do not.
  7. been quite busy working on these cars actually. Ozpost - yep! thats giving me a lot of grief on the wholesale front. I'm taking a break from 24th-jan 3 so no posting from me.
  8. about $300. need a chassis number to confirm it though.
  9. no.. pull the radio unit and send it to me. its fixable. UNLESS you want to do a new radio and A/C controls then thats a different matter.
  10. 98 can house a 8" driver VERY easily. otherwise they are a 5x7.
  11. still need the adapting leads to get into the stock system- want them - ask.
  12. no $$ required. I'll do copy for you all I need is an address.
  13. which means you see bayside car fx in hervey bay. they can sort that out for you quite easily. mention me.
  14. yep have an ISO of one. want me to make you one?
  15. yep thats the full version of it. I toss a miniture one in the TV box and use my own camera
  16. yellow pages are your friend there as far as pricing goes. where are you?
  17. band expander.. - LOT easier.
  18. could well be the dealer fitted nissan/alpine thing I remove. is there a security light on the dash that is marked 'seciruty'? easier to rip the lot and put a proper one in. (properly!)
  19. the thing you are going to have fun with is the CAN system in those. whlist the clifford item is good getting it into that car will be fun. I would suggest talking to the installer you used for that alarm. I would also consider the G5 as that IS compliant BUT I'm not entirely sure there is a CAN version of it.
  20. so you have a dealer fitted reverse cam? theres a way to make that thing switch by itself you know. ( I need the OEM TV box to do it.)
  21. that is a GVN53. it does video out as standard. how he's looped it in will be anohter story.
  22. nah I'll do that. I'm a dealer for autowatch anyway. thats the good thing about the brand - its a specialist brand that is not available to everyone on the block. give me a call on monday.
  23. neither. two amplifiers - one decent sized mono and a decent 4 ch. it was your last comment that killed your idea.
  24. CCA will help start the thing. look at A/Hr - the higher the better. also bea in mind that the car when running is NOT running on the battery - its running on the alternator- make sure that is also up to scratch if you have done something silly on the audio side of things.
