  1. not saying involves a LOT of fiddling - band expander is easier. only reason I did it was for a M35 with the integrated dash. currently the car in question has the stock JAP radio back in it. before ANYONE asks - no I will not do an aftermarket one. if you have $300 or more to throw around on this and you have no other choice (IE integrated dash) then I'll listen. contact details are in my sig I'm due for a trip down there as well. need to catch up with a mate of mine in the south.
  2. nope it does not. that unit is software based and there a LOT to change to make it work. easier to use something else.
  3. how much cutting do you do??
  4. not really. if you take a new prius apart there is a similar setup in the rear of it. whilst looking at that look up EV racing - there is a vehicle capable of a 10sec qtr pass.
  5. looked at this car today - pictures really do not describe it properly - its a DAMN NICE car! waiting for compliance before I do what I need to it.
  6. too much effort really. I have these things mapped out now and they will show up ont he appropriate buttons. no OE controls though.remote only. the radio on the other hand I DO have sorted. it will display correctly WAZ, yep geive me a bell when you are ready. I have 2 m35s to do once compliance clears so I've got time on my side to look at yours if you like.
  7. rainbow hammer 10" would be my pick. that said it needs a box.
  8. that will do. though a crimp will do a better job.
  9. which is what I was hinting at.
  10. sounds like a knock off of a knock off. if it was cheap and lasts more than 6 months then it will be fine ;p
  11. forget about a few hundred $$. they DO NOT want to know. only reason I wanted consult software so I can check a few things. NAV system WILL NOT work here.
  12. lug is easy. I have those here. how long does the +ve need to be and with what battery terminal on the end. -ve terminal - 4awg - can make you one if you tell me what you need.
  13. ^^ is on the right track
  14. by law it is 'supposed' to be. your call there. how big is the amplifier (or give me a model.) you have?
  15. as in US audio. - autobarn only brand. seem ok (fitted a few of them no issues.) though there is probably better
  16. $10 say he still tries it (don't!)
  17. bigger battery and better earthing. I'll leave the CAP issue alone too many 'experts' on that one and i really do not feel like arguing..
  18. pull the seat out. look at it from a different angle. a 10" sub will go in BEHIND the seat BUT you will need a LOT of power and the ENTIRE boot will need to be sealed off from the car for it to work. sub on the rear shelf - no. depth for one legality 2nd,
  19. matt, are you around on sunday morn (ring me.) I have a much better idea than what you just showed me
  20. thats a actuator problem. replace it and problem solved.
  21. bit more detail please. I would be looking for fuses but not knowing who did it or how it was done its a bit hard to help.
  22. nope thats close to what I do them for here. tack on time as well - roughly $3k for the lot and 2-3 days of the fiddly stuff.
  23. which it doesnt. beleive me if it were that easy everyone would have a go. its not. there are other things that run that system as well.
