  1. location would be nice. in brisbane I do them for all skylines - forget viper.
  2. buy a clarion Monoblck. they make a small one and a big one depending on what you wish to spend.
  3. what that really means is you have blown somthing internally in that amp.
  4. did you wire it correctly and NOT swap a lead??
  5. pm sent- email addy noted.
  6. grills are a pioneer knock off, speakers are a kenwood knock off , bottom is chinese.. scary part is the feedback number..
  7. actual link: http://www.nissan.co.jp/EN/contact.html before anyone else asks I want to attempt this on a V35. anything else can be removed and is not worth attempting
  8. so I was correct. wht I would like to attempt is getting the display correct on the radio. mos of them use the same processor across the range (this is based on clarion.) and it is a hardwire setting that needs to change. the only thing that concerns me is the FM frontend and if it is tuned to the top end of the FM band. AM is fine.
  9. if it works and you cannot find the unit- use it. $200-$250 depending on who fits it. can add a siren to it and a few sensors if you like. if you have the remote I can tell you how to program it.if not they are $60.
  10. if you pointed it backward in said wagon - yes. high freq is directional - that is why you hear alarm sirens and look for them..
  11. with mine keep a 1000cca battery with a isolator off the main battery. I can run it into the ground and the vehicle still goes. when I'm on site I plug the van in and it switches straight to mains and shuts the inverter down. remove power and it fires right up without a glitch. hardware wise: 7 port usb hub HP 1200 laserjet printer,40gb hd, 4g RAM, 3g modem, keyboard and mouse. 3kw inverter display wise 17" LG monitor. base machine is a acer laptop. OS is winXP - extra memory is for quicken - its a memory hog! it will run 3 days before shutting down. I use it daily for invoicing and general internet when I need info quickly.. it is also networked back to the workshop SBS server (quickbooks sits on this.) the whole lot in integrated in the floor of my van . (if someone knows how to empty a nokia N70 memory card without the lead I'll show you the pictures.)
  12. for the navi unit you are correct. the CD based or is a touch under $2k and the flash version is $1700 or so (VDO) as for the total swap - loosely $800-$1k before gear. drift, are you swapping the AC controls?
  13. do you have audio out of the unit itself? have you checked the speakers for shorts to the car frame? some things to look at before you write that unit off.
  14. if you have done the output IC then its a $130-150 repair. the chip is most of it.
  15. rip the wohle lot out and start fresh - best way.
  16. car watch is QT. for piece of mind its the best option. they have the power and control of the police IF the car gets taken to shut it down. few others can. I have a version of the system in my personal vehicle (mine is a custom version to suit my application) and I can sleep easy becuase of it. last van I had contained a similar setup.
  17. get a shop to tear it down too hard to tell you what is actually wrong with it.
  18. same place I source from. good to see that someone else does too..
  19. tightass offer is there if you want it. I have a blau heidleberg unit here that doesn't have an hour on the CD mech. yours for the taking.
  20. best to ring the melbourne QT office if you havent already. I have a fellow I use in MLB but he doesn't do QT. QT does have a $1/day monitoring fee and they will tell you if someone sneezes on the car IF you want them to. the system is monitored in real time and on average from the time the car is triggered to the pohne call is 10-15 seconds. the fee is not negotiable. you pay it , they watch your car for you- you dont - then the QT unit becomes an alarm only. I use them on the council ferries here in brissy and they will get me out of bed every once is a while (my name is on the call list.) but I rarely have a problem with them.
  21. its toast. that said the output IC drives the rem out so if you want to make a trip to RS components or prime then in should only cost $20-30... does it have audio still?
  22. if you can find a set. most people mangle them. I keep a spare set here so I can copy them when making the new plates.
  23. sounds like a bad connecton- without looking at it would be had to diagnose.
  24. they will fit easily behind those doors. theres 50mm between the panel and the door frame.
