if the timer option is OFF the alarm will NOT arm with the car running. when you arm it press and HOLD the remote button - it will arm and chirp. tampering with the vehicle will shut it down.

sounds like the actuator.( thing that works the lock mech on the drivers side.) if you are mechanical tear the door down and check that the rod is still attached or that is hasnt moved. if not take it to a shop and pay them for it. should be $100 by the time all is done.

read it closely. you have a 15 sec window to do this. the timer must NOT be connected when you are programming.

that is a 1.5-2yr old unit. if you have the reciept for it take it back for warranty. they started 2 yr warranties about the time that one was sold. what EXACTLY do you mean by crap sound on cd?

fuses - there are two they will be around the alarm module. only one rod. actuator drives the lock mech.

depends. from that it would appear that the rod has slipped. other thing of course is a blown fuse onthe alarm- IF that is the case I would look at the wiring going to teh actuator BEFORE replacing the fuse.

thereare a few others as well. both are US based.

does it work otherwise? IE if you disarm/rearm will it lock the car?

interesting that he ran his own vehicle in the comp he was running. to my knowledge you aren't supposed to do that -
care to share. I know of a few G35 units as well but I'm unsure if they will work on those units. have you done them?

yep. though it could also be shock related as well. that will be under the dash on the column if you can find it
