  1. easier if you do. plug and go.
  2. so have you done anything to the car to cause this? on the blitz ones there is a switch on the rear that sets the IGN input. if you have knocked that then you end up with your problem. FATT should have one as well.
  3. thank you (you beat me to it.) if you must go viper - 460 or 480XV. now considering you spent a bucketload on an import that makes a very good spare parts pile I would invest a decent amount in keeping it yours.
  4. is it tied to the handbrake?
  5. they are- I'm one of them and the names are listed on the stickied professionals thread.
  6. not going to help the original poster - he's in MLB. in MLB - stylyn car audio - boronia - see adam mention me.
  7. depends on who makes the screen and if it was a factory or dealer fit. can you show me what you have?
  8. I tend to use the electric ones on these cars - less hassle to set up properly and no vac lines to cut. not a fan of command. too fiddly. have used tge RF rostra item as well. (good for Daewoo..)
  9. do you have a TV? later version had the TV unit there. M35 is the same again.
  10. it is. the dealer one you can tell is dealer fitted. the V35 will be factory fitted like the M35. I have a fellow wanted me to rework a cima (it runs the Xenavi DVD/nav.) but I need a base to start from. the unit that you list is used in the M35 as a factory fit (I have one here.)
  11. I can't get the images off my phone but the 3rd pic looks nothing like that now . its all on my desk in bits
  12. you still have the same problem. HEAT! there is NO room under there.
  13. why???? you run more risk of it burning up, more risk of it getting pinched , more risk of destroy cables. put it int h rear behind the rear seat. trav you suprise me sometimes...
  14. x2 on a bit of MDF. lot easier and neater. your idea will kill that amplifier.
  15. ok so early july. that should be fun. (I'll explain later.) does it have a OE camera already? as for the RB20DE tag - keep yakking - it will change.
  16. 3rd pic looks VERY familar. I have a car that looks like that now. Matt, I know it's possible - I have done a V35 already. this thing is no different. would like to see what found (pm me.) to be honest you could still use the OE screen and the new one or buy a storage bin and replace the lot. I'll talk to you more about it when I see you.
  17. REZZ, that is RIGHT up my alley. I have pulled one OUT of a M35 already and I can do the swap IF I could get the panels. that would make the whole exercise of getting the OE gear going a LOT cheaper. I do believe I can keep the OE steering controls on most cases as well. (fire me a PM need a bit of help if you can ) Matt, that was pretty much what I was getting at with the original images. having stripped one they are not that hard to do. all the fancy stuff is somewhat of an afterthought in the factory. only issue will (which it really is not.) is the OE rear camera.
  18. that will help them close easier- not really what he asked though. SD will make a 'clink' sound more like a 'clunk' if that makes sense (in short do it.)
  19. stereo is a common one. clarion and pioneer of that vintage use the same amplifier (usually a toshiba item.) and it develops a short. worst one I saw was 1.25A. that fried a battery over night before we found it . (this was an alpine unit) spoke to him for 15 min myself before he rang you clarifiying your problem. get a base draw on the car (should be 50mA or less) and work out where the rest of it is. 150 Ma will drain a battery but NOTHING like a 400mA one will. if you drive the car daily it wont be a probelm. problems ring us first
  20. cool! that part is sorted. I'll talk to you more about it when I do teh alarm in your 'egg'
  21. see PM reply. leon , you have a copy of that one
