bad and worse... save your money and buy a proper one. you will be tossing one of those out within 3 months of buying it. -
I do such a thing however you are in MLB and I'm not. what you are REALLY after is a GSM paging unit with a decent alarm. that is the same idea has what you have and the insurance company will like it

neither. single wire does both.

there is A LOT that can go wrong doing what you are attempting. would strongly suggest getting it done properly if you can't work it out. nissan use two systems on those and the driver and passnger doors are separate.

nope not without the other one. you need it to reset the unit.

good you know where the module is go one better and take it out. that is a common problem with them. antenna dies of the unit s lose programming. if you have the instructions and the spare remote - rekey both of them to the unit.

the upper ones aren't that bad. they tend to be a bit harsh when you put a fair bit of power on them though.

jaycar , DSE or any electronics shop will have them. no programming needed.

battery time. 100m is typical providing you are NOT near any inteference (IE TV towers.)

no maps for that one. they have a local unit that plugs into the local screen that does support it though ebay=bad - especially if yo make a mistake. -

who is the car insured with? you may find the will not insure it with out an oz stds immobilser on it. rem starts are a no no also.

remove it. easier to do an alarm with out it.
