Hi put me down for a black R33 one.
Cheers,
Johnny
Man I'm still curious to know who drives that ricey looking R33, that blew the shit outta me a few weeks back around canley vale approximately 11pm.... scremer pipe, chromie wheels, noisey diff that whines.....
-
you need to take all 6 spark plugs out to do the comp test!
oh shit serious?
I did it on my car before I bought it 1 at a time... damn it guide I read... well all the piston read evenly when I did it, so I handly the owner a bank cheque and drove off with the car..
-
Well I know what pinging sounds like, pinging would sound like my roundabout camry with 300 000km+ on the clock.. made a metalic sound tappin sound like someone left all their cutlery under the bonet...
It's more of a popping sound, like eating pop rocks....
I'll definately tape up or epoxy my coil packs, and buy some standard NGK plugs and see how they go... I got Iridiums atm, but they are from the previous owner.
-
Well I noticed it is mainly around 6000 - 7000 rpm ... Well I can not imagine the car running lean, as I just got the injectors clean which would probably cause the car to run slightly more richer.
I think best bet is to throw it on a dyno & get a re-map.
-
yeah yourself, go to supercheap auto, or any parts store and get yourself a compression meter.... piss easy to test..
just unplug your igniter pack, and fuse to your fuel pump & make sure your battery is fully charged..
take out 1 spark plug at a time and whack the compression meter in and go and crank your car over, do that for each spark plug...
oh yeah, make sure you warm up your car.

Hi all,
I've just noticed this sound from my car when I decided to drive it without the stereo on for change, probably the first time in a year and when I go to give it some stick I observed a popping sound from the motor, as if it was like a popcorn roasting sound that your popcorn maker would make around 7000rpm.
Could this be detonation?
I am running 14PSI which I think is reasonably safe, as the ECU has been remapped by the previous owner who removed the rev limiter (moron, well the tuner, which I think was Autosport Engineering, which btw charged 8k for a RB20 transplant into a 180sx, not to mention dodgey wiring which I had to redo, ECU & A/C wiring was a mess, skipped relays & pressure sensors, not to mention the fuel pump constantly on!)
Around 3 months ago, I removed all the injectors, and brought it to an autoparts store for them to be cleaned and tested, which turned out that most of them were nearly clogged. So I cannot imagine the car leaning out and causing that popping sound.
Please could someone shed some light into this.
Cheers,
Johnny

miss firing at 4k?
sounds like a dodgey air flow meter... try disconnecting it and and starting up the car and see if there's any difference.. if there isn't the AFM is stuffed.
Or better yet, borrow your mate's AFM and see how you go.
Sounds like your ECU has gone into LIMP mode, see if the car is running rich and blow out black smoke at the back
-
Keep this thread updated, I got a tuned rom off Autosports Engineering and it's shit... they thought it would be "cool" to remove the rev limiter... morons.
-
check if your aux. air regulator is still functional, I've seen a few RBs with stuffed units... I was one of them, but my regulator was fully opened so my car always idled at 1500rpm..
bought another unit off some dude off this forum for $20, all good now.

These are low mount rails, same as the bride rails so they sit much lower than recaro rails. You can see by the design of the mounting points they sit much lower.
I'm not sure with the fix bucket seats, but you can easily alter the cross bar, or make another one simply by buying some steel bars from bunnings and drilling to fit the seat then bolting those plates to the rail itself.

Sold to Trust33
Hi All,
Please note: Will not fit any Silvia, the rear right hole will not line up to the floor, unless you extend the 4th hole at a welder or such...
I've sold my skyline and this rail does not fit into my 180SX, so it is up for grabs... I've made a cross bar out of a 3 mm steel plate which bolts directly up to the JustJap Recaro copies. No stuffing around required. Also I'm willing to help you install it into your car free of charge.
This rail will fit R32/R33 - Some have told me that R34s are different, someone please correct me.
Brand: Cluster Sports
Fitments: Genuine Recaro, or JustJap Recaro copies with the Cross bar provided
Mount Position: Base Mount
Price: $120
Location: Liverpool Area / NSW

R32/R33/R34 GT/-T/S/S-t/-R all the same

I have a cluster sports driver's side rail made for recaro seat with a cross bar to adapt to the Justjap seat

SOLD TO SLDEWYZ
Hi All,
I'm selling my beloved bucket seats, yes they are not the real thing, but hugs just as good. Reason I'm selling these seats is because they attract too much unwanted attention from cops, bogans, car thieves, stupid kids, etc. I do not want a broken window, stolen car, or stolen seats etc. plus I need some extra money for my ski trip to NZ.
Originally purchased from JustJaps in 2004, they have been in my car since then. Rails were fabricated by Autosports Engineering for both driver and passenger side. Driver side slides back and forth, whilst the passenger side is fixed, no biggie as they both have lever recline mechanisms. Also have receipts for the seats & the rail fabrication.
For the noobs........ I know you can get new RECARO copies from JustJaps for under $400 with universal rails to fit the bin, universal rails are rubbish, they bolt up to nothing, so do not comment on the price, if you think you can get them to bolt in be my guest and I do not want to hear your stupid uneducated comments. Noobs, dreamers, and keyboard warriors certainly unwelcome.
Will only fit S13/S14/S15.... If bolted to a skyline only 3 of the bolts will line up and the 4th one will be out of place. I suppose it could be just cut and re-welded, but that is entirely up to you.
Seats still currently installed in car as per photo.
PRICE: $500 for the pair includes rails that fit, will not separate rails or seats.

Hi All,
I recently got farked around by a forum member with this sale and ended up losing $22.50 on stupid postage charges. I sent the item, to only receive it again with a farken fee attached to it.
So its back for sale, I prefer pickup or payment first before postage.
Price: $20
Location: Liverpool Area / NSW

add in it's missing an ABS unit as well. All type-x 180s have ABS.
-
I do not want money out of you, I can not be farked asking...
called you, smsed you, pm'd you, no reply... and your constantly out of credit.
I initially sold you the damn farken SMIC for $20, not $45, but now have copped a $22.50 postage fee for no farken reason because of you.
so I'm left with no money, a SMIC, and -$22.50 and when I asked you to pay me the postage cost and you refused telling me shit that I can sell the SMIC for more to make back the money I lost.
Inconsiderate fool.
and about your wife, I am very sorry to hear, hope she gets better. Like I told you before, if you did not have the money at least tell me I can wait, then again I did for like 3 weeks till you decided to pick up your stupid phone.
-
and also his stupid enough not to know where he lives!
bought a SMIC off me for $20 via COD, then gives me the wrong address (yes this fool doesn't know where he lives) and a result of that AustPost sends the item back to me.
Brilliant, get slapped with a $22.50 bill for postage up his farken way and back to my place.
-
your a clown, you always saying you can not afford to pay me the money you owe me (yes this punk owes me money)...
but yet you are trying to bid on a motor on ebay for $300. Whats the go there?
btw folks, he cannot cough up $45 bucks, he has been telling me for 3 weeks his broke and cannot afford to pay me $45.
-
SMIC back for sale, had item returned because an illiterate person didn't know his own address and made be pay for the postage costs to my own house because the item got returned. Moron even used COD so I got farked up x2 over!
Yes MAG86, if your reading this, your a top bloke

Hi there,
Would these remaps have a provision for more than 14PSI? As I would like to get one for the time being and eventually purchase a high-flowed turbo from Slide... I'm not too keen in replacing the injectors so I do not plan to run more than 18PSI.
