1 x Passenger side headlight from R33 GTST Series 1 - Few Scratches - $150 Someone bumped into me and had to get it replaced. I got a new one to replace this now, but not before the repairer had tried to sand out the scratches! So the majority of the scratches are from wet and dry. The scratches are only on the indicator bit of the light and are very light to the touch, so may very well be able to be buffed out. There are no cracks/leaks anywhere, and no noticeable marks on the remainder of the headlight. The lense is currently cloudy/yellowish, but of course this can be fixed using the cutting polish trick. I did it to my old headlight on the drivers side and came up pretty close to new. The bulbs are included. I also have high res pics, if interested, or if your in Sydney, come have a look if you want. PM Me, or email me at [email protected]

I get about 360km per 55l - city driving - BP Ult. :ddd: Ok fine, that's pretty much the same for everyone on stock. What about you guys with changed ECU's? Is there a significant difference? ...Trying to justify forking out some cash on an Aftermarket ECU.

Mine was doing exactly the same. Mine is a stock GTS-t. Seemed to do it more in the hot weather. Pain in the arse hey? Annoyed the heck out of me. I took me about 3 months of troubleshooting to narrow it down to the AFM. I pulled it apart myself, not as scary as everyone was saying, and found that the solder was dodgy, so resoldered it and never ever had a problem since that day 2 years ago(knock on wood). I'm not very mech techincal, but don't mind getting my hands dirty, so if i can do it so can you. Happy to help you if you PM me.

Hey, did u ever find the grille you were after? I don't like that grille either. I am after one that looks like this:- http://www.justjap.com/images/Dsc00081.jpg Preferably in black, if you can point me in the right direction or if anyone had one to sell like this please contact me. Unfortunately, it's too expensive for me from the importers. Cheers.

Ahh so that's how that did it. Thanks for the pic JL. There's no way i'm gonna try to do that but! Yeah I have the Quarts too Matty, freaking oversized(6.5" my arse!), what a mission that was. But they sound awesome. I want to put the tweeters in the door like you, and make it look as standard as possible. Whenever you get round to it I would be interested in that pic. Thanks.
-
I would be very interested in a photo of exactly how these stock tweeters are positioned. I have to install mine and am trying to figure out exactly where to drill... Can't figure out where the best place to put them is at them moment. Even if someone has some that look like they are oem then please post or PM me. Thanks.

Nismo, don't have the time or patience to build stuff for the car anymore... but I still want everything dirt cheap! Champ, this is the one i want... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/at...s=&postid=30935 Is this the one you have? A pic would be good if you have one. I currently have the standard plastic grille with horizontal plastic slits.

Thankyou for all your responses. Ok, to elaborate a little... I have no pics, and can't get any easily. They are the standard 5 stud r33/200sx rims. I just had another close look, there is only one small area on one of the rims of what looks like tiny dots. But hardly noticeable. Apart from that, there are no deep scratches on any of the wheels. 2 of the centre pieces, the paint has rubbed away in places cause it's like a plastic type of material, but easily fixed with some paint. The tyres are close to perfect. And no they are not from an accident/buckled/mangled in any way! I had them on for about 7 months. And i have simply changed my rims since then. I would prefer a Sydney buyer, that way I can show you the wheels, and if you want them take them. Otherwise you are going to pay for shipping.

Where can i get the mesh grille thingy with the red S badge for a reasonable price? It's for a r33 S1. I want the plastic thing black. If you could point me in the right direction would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hey mate, sorry took me so long to get back to you, been very busy. Firstly i'm not a mechanic, so my advice I give to you out of experience. It's not the BOV. If it was it would dip or surge everytime you slowed down hard, causing the engine to stall or come close to stalling. I've had this problem before on my VL. This is caused by incorrect adjustment or fault of the tension spring in the BOV. I've found it is a common scapegoat of mechanics who don't know where to look. From the way you described it your car just cuts out, and normally the engine moves steady through the rev range and idles steady. The problem that I had with my GTS-t was this... It would run great except for hot days. Consistently(like every day)after a bit of hard driving/city driving, you would be stopped at the lights or go over a speed hump or turn the corner, whatever and it dies... The idle quickly jumps around for a sec and then dies. Start it again, and a little bit later, it would do it again. As soon as I read your post I was gonna say 99% sure that it was the AFM. This is what was wrong with my car(worked it out through LONG process of elimination) and apparently this is a VERY common problem on GTS-t's. The thing is, I've read that normally when there is something wrong with the AFM your fuel economy goes as well. This was true for me. Mine was shithouse - Even though the car was running great when cold I would barely hit 300k's to a tank of Optimax. When I fixed the AFM, now I can run 360-380, hard city driving. Everything on my car is stock. Your car does 400k? I think that's pretty good, maybe you have lotsa mods or aftermarket ecu? So that is why I can't say for sure that it is the AFM. Maybe under some faults it actually leans out the mixture rather than enriching it. Someone else here might be able to clear it up for us. A few other things I noticed with my problem was that when the engine cut out I would try turning over the ignition from the same position the key was in. Chances are it would stall immediately. If I turned the ignition completely off and tried starting again. It would start fine immediately and run roughly for the time being. Some sort of reset thing happens with a number of things including the AFM when you do that. Next time it happens, look out for this. So what I would try... Reset you ECU - just for fun. Try the ECU diagnostic - does it come up with anything. Just a point, when I did the diag, it didn't give any faults, even though it is meant to report AFM faults. My problem was DEFINITELY the AFM cause when I pulled it apart the connections were obviously dodgy. Do you keep your car regularly serviced? When you rev it steady and free rev it, is it smooth or does the engine sound like a V8? If it sounds like a V8 check spark plugs > fuel filter > coil packs > injectors in that order. It might be sludge/crap in your throttlebody - it would affect or jam the idle speed motor, but unlikely to jam it only when it's hot. Can't hurt to look. Take off that rubber thing around the throttle intake, and run your finger inside. Should be only mildly dirty. If it's filthy and got chunks of grease in it. Then you got bigger problems. If your bored, pull apart the idle speed motor and give it a bath. Again unlikely - but check for vacuum leaks/loose connections. The reason why i'm saying to check these things first is that, if you do pull apart the AFM, it will involve soldering to put it back together. It's not hard but, i'm not sure how comfortable you would be with that. Anyway, i hope the problem goes away by itself, otherwise let us know how you go. Feel free to ask me to clarify things if you need(hope I wasn't too obscure). :burnout:

Dstylez, I had a similar problem, can you tell me, when it happened were you slowing down, gunning it, or stopped? When it didn't have the problem, and you would come to a stop, would the revs severely dip down and then stabilise? What's your fuel economy like? If you can answer these for me then it might be similar to mine and if I can, i'll let you know what I did to fix mine. Cheers.
