  1. Yep you are right, I thought you said you had CVT. Sorry misread it
  2. Is that the one where this car starts talking Japanese really fast in a chick voice? That freaked me out the first time!
  3. What I have in my books:- FROM THE 350Z Manual 2003 350Z â€" A/T RE5R05A Trans Code 90x72 A/T Fluid Type Nissan Matic 'J' ONLY (P/N 999MP-MTJ00P) Oil Capacity 10 7/8 qt A/T Cooler Type Fin Type Structure • Nissan Matic 'J' ATF is the only fluid accepted for warranty, service contracts and goodwill repairs. Important Note: Nissan Matic 'J' must be used in performing repairs paid by Nissan for the 2003 and later 350Z, such as warranty, service contract, or good-will repairs. There will not be reimbursement for repairs when non-genuine Nissan Matic 'J' is used. Manual transmission gear oil 3-1/4 qt 2-3/4 qt 2.9 API GL-4,Viscosity SAE 75W-85 Automatic transmission fluid 10-7/8 qt 9-1/8 qt 10.3 Genuine Nissan ATF Matic Fluid J*2 *2: Using automatic transmission fluid other than Genuine Nissan ATF Matic Fluid J will cause deterioration in driveability and automatic transmission durability, and may damage the automatic transmission, which is not covered by the NISSAN new vehicle limited warranty . FROM THE G35 Manual Manual transmission gear oil 3-1/8 qt 2-1/2 qt 2.9 API GL-4, Viscosity SAE 75 W-85 or 75 W-90 Automatic transmission fluid 10-7/8 qt 9-1/8 qt 10.3 Genuine Nissan Matic J ATF *2 Using automatic transmission fluid other than Genuine Nissan Matic J ATF will cause deterioration in driveability and automatic transmission durability, and may damage the automatic transmission, which is not covered by the INFINITI new vehicle limited warranty. *2: Using automatic transmission fluid other than Genuine Nissan Matic J ATF will cause deterioration in driveability and automatic transmission durability, and may damage the automatic transmission, which is not covered by the INFINITI new vehicle limited warranty. *3: For Canada, NISSAN Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF), DEXRONTM III/ MERCONTM , or equivalent ATF may also be used. OK take from this what you will. It is your own responsibilty on what fluid you use. It only mentions the A/T and M/T of these cars in everything I have. I have no info at all on the CVT at the moment, so I can't see where you guys get that its is definitely J-ATF fluid that is needed. Sorry mate, but Infiniti would have no idea. An Auto is not CVT. Maybe the fluid happens to be the same, but this is not confirmed yet. I will say however that my own personal opinion is that a transmission service/flush is not required as regularly as other cars. For the AT and MT, the service schedule says that you pretty much don't need to do anything other than inspect which I suspect means top up as well. This schedule goes up to 96000KM and it doesn't even mention replacing the fluid at all - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=173808 Can't see how this would be much different for the CVT however, but like I said take from it what you will. I think Kleenbeats would know - where are you mate???
  4. Couldn't Nissan Australia probably send you one for free and in English? Now if you had an old GTR... well now that's different... for some reason they seem to have some value! http://www.j-specimports.com/dealernet/det....php?id=1840370 http://www.j-specimports.com/dealernet/det....php?id=1840372 http://www.j-specimports.com/dealernet/det....php?id=1835393
  5. I'm out too. Got sent interstate last minute! grrrr....
  6. Interested to see how you go with that scanner. Make sure it doesn't just work on OBD-II only mate cause the car doesn't use OBD-II protocol it is a combination of KWP2000 and CAN. I had that problem...
  7. http://g35ipod.com/installHW.php?skin=1 These are the instructions I use to remove the dash. Spot on, except you have to make the obvious L & R changes.
  8. Spotted a wanker in a Silver S2 this morning - MRK-11E who was too good to merge with the rest of us and cut across the service/island lane Church St underneath Viccy Road Top Ryde. He then was too good to let anybody merge in front of him.
  9. Ok checked it out and yeah it's definitely that menu cause i have it too now! On the main menu, it's the 3rd menu down on the right hand side. You can program 4 different service intervals. It's pretty obvious from there but when you go into each one:- The first button is the reset the KM's to 0 for that interval. The second button you can specify the number of KM's it warns you at. The third button turns that particular reminder on and off.
  10. Hehe. Pit eh? Can't say I've seen that screen before, but I reset all the service interval stuff mucking around when I first got the car. One of the menus just off the main one has a service interval monitor on it(it's the one with 1500KM on it and graph lines on it) you can reset this through there I'm guessing.
  11. Yep, fingers crossed i'll be taking the V35 for its first run. But its going to be packed I reckon seeing as the weathers been a bit all over the place the past month.
  12. Still interested in these discs. If anyone has them can you please PM me.
  13. Sounds good. In!
  14. That's a real shame mate. You don't need to remove the front bumper at all. When you remove the wheels and underside covers you have good access to do the job. Even better if you have access to a hoist.
  15. Agreed, loving it even more in the rain to be honest! The car sticks to the road like anything and the handling is superb even when it's hammering down rain.
  16. These are still for sale anybody else interested? Sorry I can't send these as it's not worth the hassle. But you can come and check them out and if you want them you can grab them.
  17. I checked my docs and you may be right, there is no reference to the fog lights in the CIN but the Xenons are in there. So not sure if these definitely needed to be done, but were anyway and I got the attached doc from compliance too. Compliance___FOGS.pdf
  18. Ummm... 7.4L per 100KM? Where'd you get that from? The screen on mine says around 7KM per L which works out to be about 15L/100KM. My true L/100KM goes anywhere between 13.7 and 16. I've got a sedan though so not sure on the coupes.
  19. The fog lights on these cars are not separate like other cars. They are part of the headlight so you will have them(The bottom halogen goes brighter - it is activated through the middle rotating switch on the indicator stalk). But they will probably be disconnected during compliance, no biggie - open the stalk and connect them again - if you so choose at your own peril of course.
  20. Been told that fog lights is another thing that is meant to be removed. Not sure why though. You got these? ps. nice sig! I might steal that.
  21. No worries, not sure if many know about this new v35 forum though so maybe we need to advertise! From the time I decided to change cars till i actually got it in my hands was about 6 months, so spent that time researching as much as a i could, i guess in a way to confirm that I really wanted this car. But so glad I did get it. I get the info from lots of places but alot of it comes from g35driver and the US guys have been really helpful.
  22. So you mean there's swipecards? So didn't the logging system provide any leads as to who accessed the gates late at night?
  23. That is so so sad mate. I feel like paypalling you money or something! What comes to mind: When you say security carpark, you mean your apartment has swipecards or just keylocks? Definitely would put lots of posters around your building to ask for any info anyone may have seen or heard. Wouldn't advertise what kind of cars they were, just that there was a break in. Find out if similar incidents have occured before in the building. With any luck someone might even call to boast. Obviously try and track down the guy who had his parked car smashed too and track down any leads there. Also i know how you feel when you say you want to fix it all up again, but would you able to sleep properly always thinking that it might happen again? Unless you were ready for them next time.
  24. This is an excerpt from the G35 2003 ESM that also applies to the V35. It outlines what maintenance and preventative inspections are recommended to be performed and at what intervals. ma1.pdf
  25. Yeah with the r33 i used to change them every 8000 or so km's. With this one I changed them when the clock said 17000km. I hopefully won't be changing them again for a very long time. I'm glad I did though as the plugs were pretty dirty and the car was definitely smoother afterwards. I've still got them so I'll try and get a pic up of how dirty they were.
