  1. Ok, so I'm really bored at work... Here you go:- Driving directions to Lane Cove NSW 29.3 km – about 58 mins Via Chapel Rd Sth, Church St, Victoria Rd - remove all Revesby NSW 1. Head north on The River Road towards Flood Ave 1.5 km 2. Turn right at Canterbury Rd 900 m 3. Slight left at Chapel Rd Sth 1.2 km 4. Turn right at Macauley Ave 700 m 5. Turn left at Stacey St 2.2 km 6. Turn right at Hume Hwy 3.4 km 7. Exit onto Centenary Dr 3.4 km 8. Continue onto Homebush Bay Dr 3.4 km 9. Continue onto Concord Rd 1.7 km 10. Continue onto Church St 750 m 11. Take the exit towards Victoria Rd 240 m 12. Turn right at Victoria Rd 5.2 km 13. Take the ramp on the right onto Burns Bay Rd(on approach to Gladesville Bridge) 3.0 km 14. Turn right to stay on Burns Bay Rd 190 m 15. Slight right to stay on Burns Bay Rd Go through 1 roundabout 1.5 km Lane Cove NSW
  2. Nah nowhere near there. If you're going up Homebush Bay Drive, you go straight over Parramatta Road. You need to keep going past Rhodes, past the bridge on Concord Road/Church St and then just before you reach Top Ryde there is an overpass for Victoria Rd where you have to take the exit on the left and then turn right onto Victoria Road. From Revesby I guess you have to take Stacey St and then go down Liverpool Road to get to King Georges Rd first.
  3. Used to live in Penshurst and drive to Lane Cove once a week. Way I used to go was down King Georges/Centenary Drive/Church St and then take the exit and turn right when you hit Victoria Road. Keep going all the way down and take the exit to Lane Cove when you get to the Gladesville Bridge. From Victoria Road onwards it was a pretty sweet run especially at that time in the morning, it used to take me about an hour.
  4. Hey Chris, I may be interested if I knew what they were. Some more explanation please. Can I put them in the gt8?
  5. Very nice car mate. I totally forgot I had a backseat armrest... What does the video out for you from the ipod? What's the setup? Also I paid a guy $100 from a smash shop and he got rid of the weather shields properly. Don't try and do it yourself, but it looks so much better with them off if you've been thinking about it. I know I was.
  6. From this:- to this:- I just get it from Supercheap.
  7. Fantastic unique event guys! We would both love to come and I've just sent you off the payment details Terry. Are there many seats left Terry? And is this a members only event? I know some non-sau mates who would love to join in.
  8. Ok thanks Frank, Just checked and what your saying sounds right, as there is not a separate colour code for each part for the metal fender in fast. Wheras with the bumpers there is. Thanks for replying.
  9. Thanks Chris, You mean you think it comes in primer? Well the rear bumper I just got is actually painted pearl white. When I bought my front aero bar a few years ago, in Fast there is a different part code for each colour. I ordered the part number for my car and the bar came painted from the factory correctly. This time I left it to the dealer after a recent accident and they've ordered the part number for a white bar. Now they are telling me that is the only colour they can get, even though they didn't order the correct part number. So before I go any further, I just want to double-check with a few others that have had accidents.
  10. Hey guys, Happy New Year. Quick one, when you order a bumper from Nissan Japan, can you get them already painted in your correct colour from the factory? I'm 92.5% sure the answer is yes, but just wanted to double-check as a dealer is giving me the "not my fault I ordered the wrong part number". Cheers.
  11. Do you mean the needle on the speedo on the dash is out? Sorry that's not what that setting is for, it's got to do with the navigation. Speed Calibration Under ordinary conditions, the navigation system distance measuring function will automatically compensate for minute decreases in wheel and tire diameter caused by tire wear or low pressure. Speed calibration immediately restores system accuracy in cases such as when distance calibration is needed because of the use of tire chains in inclement weather. I forgot that most of that menu is explained in English in the US Service manual for the AV system. Find it here:- http://x.infinitihelp.com/forum/local_links.php?catid=19
  12. Can't remember the code, it's been so long since i hooked up a scanner to it. Yes the airbag light would come on every time I drove the car. Even after a reset, it would be back the next time I drove the car, until I cable tied it. So in my case I believe that the broken seatbelt connector on the buckle was the issue. If it comes back let me know as there are some more detailed things you can check as well.
  13. I'd just be guessing what alot of it means, but have a look and some of it is interesting. I am curious though to find out if my hunches are right. I figure one of the trim controls is for gyro sensitivity, but the other one, i'm not sure - something to do with the volume/road speed maybe? I have an inkling the greyed out menu is for an undeveloped language menu too.
  14. I have the sedan. I'll give you something else to check, cause I'm having the same issue as well. The scanner gave me some wierd message like yours too(can't remember if it was the same though as it was ages ago). Under each of the front seatbelts there is a connector with a wiring harness. Is it loose? Check both front seatbelts. I snapped the connector one day while trying to adjust it(bloody things don't move). And since then the airbag light comes on. If I hook in the connector with a cable tie, it's good. If I play with it, airbag light comes back. Finally decided to order the part from Japan, will be here in a few weeks.
  15. This thread may be a good place to start:- http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/He...gt-t173912.html
  16. Yep, Top row - 5th button and bottom row 1st button - hold them together for 5 seconds at any time. And good on you for working so hard on this.
  17. Andy have the hidden diagnostic menus been translated as well?
  18. Hey, sorry to hear that, must be frustrating. I'll try and give you whatever info I can. There were 2 different CVT's made. I don't have my tools on this PC, but can both of you tell me what build date your car has? Mine is a mid 2003 one and has the later CVT, which doesn't have the problem you described 350GT of not being able to change gears, i.e. I can gun it hard from cold with no worries. But it definitely feels "funny" I guess and not quite as powerful until the engine reaches operating temp. It does also do the drop revs thing when it reaches second "gear", and 350GT I have the same theory as you on that one. Andrew, do you notice anything else that's not quite right with the car? At the moment, since you have a tool, might as well start with the simple things like doing all the relearns. Next move on to swapping the TCU with another one and go from there.
  19. Not twilight either. The yanks don't have that colour in their lineup. Back when I was try to get a nismo bumper from the states, this was a sticking point as they come prepainted. I ended up just getting it from Japan.
  20. It's not Carribean Blue, I don't know what it's called but the code for mine which is the same is BW6. Look on the Silver plate under the hood. Your painter won't care anyway from what I've found, he'll just match it up using their own methods. Edit: Hey hang on don't you have a camera anyway?
  21. Woah Nelly, we are twins, haven't seen another Nismo kit in Aus yet. You have the full aero kit too. Nice. What ever you do don't break the front bumper, trust me it is fricking expensive!
  22. See i told you they'd make a difference! I have the Gordgee ones on mine and the build quality is well the best you can get. And the support was great too. They came in a RHD kit and with RHD instructions. There were 10 wires 4gauge each. I actually wrote down all the lengths of them when I got them so I can duplicate them if needed, but I forgot to post them up and have since lost the measurements... sorry! I don't think it would be difficult to make some up yourself, but if you don't mind paying the 230 odd dollars to get them as I said they are great quality. When I installed them, I installed them in stages to see where the difference was made. I actually drove around for months in between and got a good idea if they made any difference. No I didn't remove any cables between stages. 1) I installed the six cables that go round the block and chassis first - no difference. 2) Then I installed the cable that goes from the block to the negative battery terminal - night and day change. Car started quicker, more responsive throttle, gear changes quicker(on the CVT) 3) Cable between the ECU and TCU - Didn't notice any discernable difference 4) Cable from the block to the transmission - No change again 5) Cable from the block to the ECU - No change again So, if I was to build them myself I would install the cable that goes from the engine to the negative battery terminal first and see if it made any difference and maybe leave it at that. If someone is willing to do a test when they receive their batch of cables, could you install just this wire first and see if it makes a difference? It's been bugging me for a while now Cheers.
  23. Just checked yep it was closer to $97 for the set a few months back. It's not really difficult to do if you have the right tools, just takes a bit of time and needs patience. First time took me about 3.5 hrs and second time 2.5 hours and that was with cleaning the parts. Just find a nice sunny Saturday and you'll be fine. You saw the thread linked to above right from G35 Driver? Spark Plug DIY It's quite detailed.
