  1. I thought the 5's were standard? Am i wrong? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ch...iy-t173667.html 6's are one step colder and I've changed mine to these just recently just for the heck of it. Can't say I really noticed the difference after 3000kays. I know they are ridiculously overpriced at the usual automarts, but don't need to buy them from the US, buy them from Harold at http://www.performancelub.com Top bloke, the price for 6 IX plugs has gone up to about $94 delivered though since then.
  2. My quick ramblings... Not Andy's fault, he's stressing about it more than any of you I bet. Sounds like the programmers are stuffing him around. If they really were interested in doing it they would have at least compiled each CD to match the serial numbers in each of the firmwares of the units. Piracy problem solved. Or used Andy as a distributor. Andy are you even getting a cut? I certainly hope so. Ok just read this... Why not just get the serial number from the maintenance screen yourself and email it to him to compile the image? That's not hard to do rather than fartarse around. Can't see anyone changing their rom to pirate the discs if we can't even get the rest working. Has anyone even successfully decompiled their original discs? Also a long time ago when I was working for a software engineering company with lots of crazy serb programmers who were interested in this project I did look into doing this project. I even called Japan and had a few lengthy conversations with an english speaking guy at xanavi about this just to get some background (Really friendly and accomodating Japs are btw). He basically said that the program was meant to have a function to implement English, but it was released as is at it wasn't important enough to them at the time was the jist of it and they weren't interested in building one for us. But I'm not a business person so if someone wants to put a venture to them. We've all moved on since then, and I don't really have the time or inclination to be passionately involved, but if someone sends me the 1st disc (not the map disc) that they have(I never got mine) i'll look at it again in my spare time. PM me. Where are all our software engineers anyway? SAU used to be filled with nerds. I'm happy to pass on what I know.
  3. I haven't driven the auto, but on the CVT, the grounding cables helped. I can't say the lag was that bad before, but afterwards the changes were super-instant. The G35 guys reported similar results on their auto's if i can remember correctly.
  4. I've got the exact same problem in a 93 GTST. HICAS light stays on, power steering goes heavy, light turns off and steering returns to normal after driving for a while(seems to get longer and longer before it returns to normal). Shits me completely! I have the normal non air-bag s1 steering wheel. I've never been able to run the diagnostic either, never had trouble with any other fandangled diagnostics in the past, just this one can't seem to get working. I'll have to pop in to someone I know who has a scanner one of these days. Topped up power steering. Checked and reseated all the fuses, but haven't checked(read- "banged on") those motors you guys mentioned to see if it makes a difference.
  5. Yes the sensitivity is adjustable, but you need a consult or compatible to change it. It's got a few other funky things you can mess with like the time the interior dome light stays on after you turn the ignition off. Other things like how cold the aircon is you can change via a combination of button press procedures.
  6. On the older ones it brings up the diagnostic menu's, just curious to see what options are included on your model as I haven't seen one.
  7. ^^^ Exactly. Still feels like we are getting ripped, just in a different way. Anyone know why the difference became 13c at all pumps(one's I've been to anyway) Caltex, BP and Shell all started doing this once the prices started heading down. What would be the justification?
  8. Wasn't there a diagnostic you could do to read the codes for yourself as well? I don't have the ability to test it anymore, but some combination between accelerator and ignition switch if I recall. Someone will have it. It will at least point him in the right direction initially.
  9. Would love to see a picture of some of the diag menus if you could please. Hold down map and display together for about 5 sec.
  10. That's the servo I go to, cheapest fuel for at least 10km radius I'd say. Just did a tight arse run for fuel there and wow, he's smashed it up pretty good.
  11. So even it out - get Suzuki to do a lap in the 911 and see what time he gets.
  12. My reason is we've got a kid on the way and the V35 is too nice for a runaround car for the missus I've still got my R33 to hoon around in. What car should I get for her? I was thinking maybe a Stagea, but I've heard they are crap on economy. Anyone think I can detune it to run more K's?
  13. It was fairly watchable albeit their choice in cars for their opening was groanworthy. It was freaky how exactly the same everything was as the UK show, down to the camera work. How awkward did the Stig look driving the GTR. Rubbish track! Bankstown airport I saw in the credits is where they where doing the times? I did learn a new word though - "poofteenth" I had to turn on the subtitles to see if I had caught it right!
  14. Sorry to spam guys, and I know I haven't been around much, but I wanted to let you know that I am selling the V35. Lots of things are happening in my life at the moment and unfortunately the car is one of the sacrifices I have to make. Such a pity, it is such a great car with so much potential and I am really going to miss it. So if I could please ask you to keep me in mind if you hear of anyone wanting a car, I'd appreciate it. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Bl...on-t238123.html
  15. I love the privacy glass! But I do have a reverse camera too which I am addicted to. Also, your tint guy is an idiot.
  16. Hey guys, it seems my account is still in the pending validation mode and no matter what I do I can't shake it. Could you please validate me I see all the google ads in each thread and this is what I get when I resend the validation:-
  17. UNFORTUNATELY I HAVE FORGOTTEN MY DRIVE WITH PICS AT WORK, SO I WILL UPLOAD FIRST THING TOMORROW BUT IT LOOKS LIKE MY AVATAR Well it is with great sadness that I am putting my V35 up for sale! We are eagerly awaiting the birth of our first child soon, and we've just bought a new place to accomodate, so the car has to go so we can buy something more everyday-type-runner-around. The car has been my pride and joy for nearly 2 years. First Aussie owner. Bought it with very low mileage, 14500km's at the time and it was absolutely immaculate. Like buying a brand new car. The car would suit a buyer who wants a quick, classy, but sexy sedan with superior handling. What came with the car of note:- Black Half leather/suede seats - front seats full power, back seats recline and super comfy BOSE stereo system - 6 disc stacker, 8" sub, all works and speakers have not deteriorated at all and still sounds fantastic and punchy. Jap TV/NAV/Screen system with Reverse Camera 8 Speed CVT - The best bit about the car I would say. It completes the Saloon Cruiser feel. Tiptronic and Flappy paddles. Privacy Glass - Actual dark tinted glass in the rear windows, almost limo. Woodgrain interior highlights around centre console and doors. What I've done to the car:- DBA Gold discs all round - drilled and slotted HP Hawk HPS Brake pads ELF Racing Brake Fluid Chrome Z-Tube JWT Pod Filter intake kit 600CCA Battery Official Nissan Aero Front Bumper - Uber rare, I haven't seen any over here. If you have one I want to see it. Grounding Gear cables, full 10 lead kit - makes the gear changes instant. Definitely makes a difference. I change the oil and spark plugs every 6 months. Always NGK Iridium and Mobil 1. Always filled up with VPower. Very clean inside, non-smoker. This car is quick, especially towards the top end. I took it to WSID once and it did 15 sec flat consistent across 3 runs, but I had major slippage each time. It was very very cold. I have all the original manuals, plus I will give you the 2008 electronic parts catalogue. Nissan 2003 V35 350GT-8 Sedan BW6 Blue 42000KM's 8 Speed CVT Registered till Jan 09 North Ryde $30000 Feel free to PM me for any questions or if you would like to arrange to have a look.
  18. Still looking for a headlight.
  19. As Scathing said, AFM is most commonly the other cause to hunting and turning off. Dry/brittle solder or dirty sensor. It's a do it yourself job, no need to buy a new one.
  20. Ooohh Alpine Way, I want to know how the car handles on that road. I've only ever taken rentals there. Someone organise a cruise! PS. if you do go - DON'T FRICKING EVER TAKE OFF THE TRACTION CONTROL OR YOU WILL PAY FOR IT. This is more important than the snow button.
  21. I'm after a front bumper replacement for a R33 S1 GTS-t. Black in colour. Definitely only Sydney. Must be in good condition no cracks or deep scratches. Would prefer the original, or the M Spec. I'm getting rid of the car so need it cheap please!
  22. Thanks for the replies. I need the black insert one please. I don't care if they are yellowish or have a few nicks, just need to get it on the car so I can sell it. Cheers.
