Just using head maths the 700's would need to be at 132% DC to get the same result Not a chance!
-
I dont know, it just stuck from way back and i like it
-
Yeah but on a 25, not a 30, the torque eats up fuel so watch your DC when you put the 30 in

I brought the GTR last time The Supra is more of a relaxed ride (remember its a long way to go for me ) and DECA is all about having fun and not trying to win or anything so its perfect for the job. Ill be in Melbourne on the 12th and 13th before heading to Shepp, Supra is much nicer to drive around town etc

On your 11.1 did you launch it, or just engage at normal revs then stand on the loud pedal?
-
Ah Tasmania, how many years was it until you guys got 98? haha What injectors do you plan on using?

Its a shame there's no ID1500, that would suit so many built cars out there! EC is awesome fun, its definatly more suited to big hp cars like yours marko's and mine. On street tires there's so many nice spots for power on oversteer out of corners and the corners are all so open compared to Wakefield which feels a bit small for so much HP as you cant use it most of the time. The straight at EC is just brilliant, entry speed is pretty good then its just a case of slamming each gear at 8500rpm/9000rpm and feeling all that power shove you forward. mmmm, love it! You know what i think is best about Wakefield? That massive hill near Bowral on the highway driving there! I think you'll be ok with an OS box, they seem to take a beating. Im being careful with mine, but when driving quick i still shift fairly fast and dont crunch it at all, im a bit worried one day ill be in gear then go full throttle then a sudden BANG Im in for a joint booting from WSID. We can go one after the other in one lane just to make a joke about it. Do you think they'd kick us for slamming the brakes before the finish line?

Legend! Ill keep an eye out for your car on the day to see how the diff goes Shame its too close to the day to get one now, ill just hope the diff decides to lock and not open wheel for this event but the next one ill get the TRD diff in for sure Thanks!

So what's the latest here?

Laziness hey, I know where you're coming from then haha! As soon as I get back from work ive got enough energy to eat then straight to bed You know what comparison I found interesting when I was there? It had 1000's in it and on e85 was struggling to break 400rwkw. Eventually it did 403 by adding boost very cautiously just cause it was a dyno day. Injectors on 98 were at around half DC. As soon as the e85 went in the DC went to 99%! so much for an extra 30%, it just maxed out straight away! The ID's fixed the problem but my car at least destroys that theory of 30% more flow needed. Let me know when you go to the track and I'll come along. I'm dying to drive it fast again Exhaust? Id love to know. It's not a priority for the guy making it right now. Ive asked Yavuz to get the tps gear in so as soon as the exhaust is done I'll take it all to him to see just how far the motor can go with the stock port head. End of the day the new motor for it is the real one that matters, this current one is fun for now though. I should have pics of the crank in 2 weeks time To be honest I'm worried about the box breaking, otherwise I wouldve gone to wsid already. The situation as I see it is that it's going to run too fast and get booted for not having all their safety gear (which I'm sure was designed for 40 year old rotaries with 800hp and tubbed etc), I'll never fit that safety gear so I'm banned. Id rather do a few runs at the texi with a v box (whyever they're called), yes it's not as official as the wsid timeslip but I really would like to give the big motor a go at wsid and after that I'll happily not go back

My supra needs a new LSD aswel Where did you get yours from if you don't mind me asking? What brand is it? 1.5 way? 2 way? Cheers
-
They're about $270ea, can't remember exact DC I think it's 52% or there abouts, 3 Bosch 044's one as lift and the other 2 as feed
-
Oh also the rb26 injector plugs didn't fit, so 2JZ ones went on. No biggie, I think it was $26 or so?! The issue is the distance from the plug to the injector, not the actual face of the plug if that makes sense
-
Mines going ok, the guy making the exhaust has had so much stuff come up there's been no progress yet so the GTR has basically been sitting around still on the 455kw tune. I've driven it a tiny bit but only backstreets etc no macpass or nasho trips yet ID2000's are seriously the best injectors. The throttle control they've got compared to the old 1000's and even some big brand injectors is just awesome. Downside is the cost, but that's what big power costs I guess haha I think I saw you the other night, I was at TC Brothers and a super clean r33 went past, it was Thursday around 9pm or so The great thing about Yavuz is that he never pushes too hard. I've told him to push it as far as he can for the next tune cause its on e85 he may aswel. Did your intercooler arrive yet?
-
I'll fibd out for you Theres usually 4/5 pro's there taking pics

Haha yeah that was a night you mexicans can't let me forget. Jameszilla was to blame for that. Here's the lesson learnt; Don't skull the big drinks at taco Baz's, well one maybe but two and you will spew. Trust me.
