  2. Yeah found that and bookmarked, cheers
  3. Randy,m did you end up doing this process? I noticed my other indicator has started taking on water now too. Time to do something about it I think.
  4. Any clear lid ones going?
  5. Hmm.. pod or not it's not going to change it being un-roadworthy. I might give vicroads a call tomorrow about it.
  6. Cool, let us know when you're here and I'll introduce you to some other skyline owners, might make the stay less boring If I go the pillar option, I want it right down the bottom near that vent, surely that should be OK?
  7. Ahh, I'm on the VIC/NSW border so that matters but I was gonna mount mine right down low near the vent. Where the pillar meets the dash area.
  8. You can get defected for a guage on the pillar? y?
  9. That's pretty fancy, bit skilled for me though
  10. I'm not that hardcore but pix would be good
  11. I theaded it in s far as it would go then but the small seal part in backwards to test it, sucked on the hose to create some vacuum then sealed it with my tongue and it didn't drop so it's sealing, crisis averted. Now the question becomes where to mount it. I can't use a pillar mount as I wanna put it right down low on the pillar near the vent, Otherwise I was thinking on the steering column blocking the factory guage, thoughts?
  12. It's an autometer guage and the hose is factory. I I can press the hose into the little seal up to being flush with the end of the smaller end of that little seal but not any further, given the way the seal is shaped I need to push the hose through the large end and out the small end then thread the whole tube through as the tighter end is the end that faces the outside of the nut, get me?
  13. Just got a boost guage and noted that during shipping the vacuum pipe that goes through the nut on the back to the guage, was damaged. I removed the nut and found the little seal inside that the vacuum hose goes through and removed the severed piece of pipe from within this seal. I need to now thread the vacuum tube back through that little seal but the seal has a larger hole on one side than it does the other and I'll be stuffed if I know how to get it through, with it being so tiny it's hard to get a good hold of it to force it. Any ideas?
  14. I'm with Nick, R33's in general dislike tight corners where sudden changes of direction induces nose diving. This can be tuned out but it is far easier to deal with understeer as opposed to massive oversteer, which while fun, easily gets out of hand much faster. You can get super duper suspension setup and sway bars etc to deal with it, but you've said on numerous occassions that you want a compliant ride which means that your suspension mods will be a bit tamer and as such you'll get a little understeer. I came from a FWD car so it's natural for me to deal with, go have a trash late at night on a deserted section of road to get a feel for it if you're uncertain. Also, in the time you've spent posting here and PM'ing me, you could've tested all this for yourself Just buy the damn wheels and post pics!
  15. I have those wheels and wider rubber at the back (235 vs 265's). Understeer is only a problem if you have stock suspension and take a poor line into a corner. Skylines are a heavy car and don't like to dive into corners in the same fashion as a lighter car would, a smoother trajectory (more like slow in fast out) and better suspension will help. I have the height adjustable bilstiens from the group buy, they did wonders, now for some sway bars .
  16. Very nice wheels, not a fan of the wing. GTR Spoiler is where it's at. R33TOM: LOL, Snap!
  17. I was at Punt Hill apartments Burwood but since no-one replied yesterday it's all over. I'm doing my last training day today and then flying back tonight. Why NOT fly when someone else is footing the bill?! =D
  18. Remember guys I dont have a car so you'll need to come get me
  19. DAMN! No =\ I fly out tomorrow around 7
  20. Damn =\ I'll be heading home tomorrow after the completion of training. Tokyo drift is actually decent beleive it or not!
  21. Hey Melbournians, I'm in Burwood doing some Dell enterprise Server training, boring, and my plans for tonight have fallen through. So, why don't one of you nice Skyline people come get me and show me what the import scene has to offer locally. I'll be happy to return the favour if any of you are in Albury Wodonga, plus I know a fair few import owners there so it'd be a good get together. Anyway, I've already bumped on SAU member, Waldo, who was here at the Unisys building today so why not bump the tally up. I'm not up for going out as I've only got my business clothes and tracksuit pants to bum around in after training so no going out where I'll look like a bogan but if anyone is free tonight and would like to show me around and perhaps hook up with some other members, either reply here, PM or email [email protected]. THIS MEANS YOU DEZZ! Cheers
  22. I'm not against the idea but it'd have to be something special to be a direct swap. Otherwise I was thinking more so swap + cash adjustment. It it was a FULL exhaust however, that'd be different.
