Raced there about 2months ago for $50, and got about 4 runs the night.... When i used to go to Calder to watch with a couple mates (coz we had nothing better to do) it was not *too* bad. But @ $25 a pop i'd rather get a bottle and have some drinks with mates

My bad, my bad.... ....I was thinking of my VR for some reason where the airbox is the other way around (intake pipe on the lid)

errrm, let me get this straight - ur saying to make slits/holes above the filter? So whats filtering the dusty air getting in?

Was $150 coz he needed to change something to run the R134a gas as its pre-1996 or something; the adaptor/valve i think??? And did the whole leak test etc... Otherwise it was $125 without the adaptor. When i got the car over a year ago there was no gas or valves in it (which i believe they do when importing it?) so i was a lil worried if it was alrite so he said to just pop in in a week and he'll go over it and check it over for free, so i was pretty pleased with the customer service.

Would depend on if u've got it on re-circulate or not. Re-circulating the already cold air inside will blow even more colder etc... They put a thermometer at the vent to check the temp which (from memory) is between 4-8c when its just been refilled. So urs sounds about right....

Anyone heard or tried this for themselves? http://www.metacafe.com/watch/844195/save_...ing_sparkplugs/ ....im not particularly game enough to try it out myself as it looks a lil el'cheapo, but im sure there's spark plugs out there that are already like that if it is indeed a proven "style" of plug. This is the single most reason i would not vote for a Labour government. All these other issues are pretty much confetti compared to this. Australia has already lost a number of big businesses overseas for this simple reason. Everyone complains of "fair pay", "affordability", and "job conditions"; yet it has happened many times in the past and you dont have to be a scientist to work out that:- A company under Union control= Company pays very high wage Company keeps getting pushed for more and is subjected to bullying Company is subjected to industrial action and low working hours Company incurs loss of production hence is no longer viable to run Company then either closes doors and calls it quits, or goes over seas where people are willing to work Union officials take your membership fees and move onto the next company You are now left standing in the wind with ur dick in ur hand ....yer, so much for Unions "looking after" you. Im sure that after your many years of loyalty and paying fees to them they'll now feed your family, pay your bills, pay your mortgage.......wait.......hang on......
-
Im just curious as to what others here will be voting and their reasons why or why not? ...also, did anyone watch the debate last night? What did you think? What are your views on the various issues brought up?

Put a lil sticky note on one of ur rims saying "Im watching you!" ...Then, directly behind where they would be kneeling down at that rim with the sticky note maybe in the bushes or something, put one of them dolls from the movie SAW. That'll freak em out....

ROFLLL!!! ...the funniest shyte i've heard today! Get yourself a IR camera and set it up in the driveway and connect it to the AV to the T.V in ur room. Make sure its well hidden though. You can get good quality wireless color camera's with good IR for relatively cheap these days; mine cost $80 odd... And if u really wanna be jazzy, u can get programs where u hook the camera to ur computer and it begins to record whenever it detects movement and sets off an alarm thru ur speakers
-
...wish i didnt have to get up so early so i could come down to these un-cya there.
-
Agreed... Get yourself a cheap clean 5K car now whilst ur on ur P's and save up for a GTR when ur ready. Thats something i wish i had done....sooo many years wasted without a GTR i'll never get back
-
Sorry to hear... Get one of these up ya http://www.smokemachines.net/buy-car-smoke...ty-system.shtml

I used to have it years and years ago. I found that the mechanics seemed to have rather basic knowledge/tools so this kind of cover would be best suited to you if you drove an older, simpler car. As for the towing, i had to use it once and wasn't impressed. Waited 45min for the RACV mech to come and and say "Yep, she's buggered, need a tow." ...then had to wait another 1 1/2 for the tow truck . In the end i figured that i'd keep my yearly $70 odd and just call a tow truck straight up in the one off chance its needed.

Sweet! I know what u mean, i'd be able to make something up no probs. Thanks for ur help
