  1. Hello Hello Im looking at hiring a 1.5ton (or equiv) Van or 3ton truck to move a few furniture items this Sat. I'd prefer a van though as its generally cheeper... I've tried Europecar, Thirfty, and Budget and got their prices. My question is, does anyone know of any other places maybe that are not franchised which would be able to hire out for a cheap price??? Preferably Northern subs, but will be picking items up from Noble Park.... EDIT: Orrrr, if anyone has one that is willing to lend it out to me for a day i will be more than happy to pay for it*. Dislaimer: *Sexual favours excluded loll
  2. ROFL....if only it were that easy. A doorman may easily encounter 20odd people giving him shit in one night depending on venue. Soooo, restraining 20 people in one night at one venue and times that by the number of venues throughout Melbourne and take into account how many Police are available at that time coupled with the fact that there are limited holding cells......???? As i said above; alot of people dont have a clue as to the amount of pressure they (Security/Police) are up against...
  3. Without knowing the full details straight away it can be determined that excessive force was used. Laying the boot into someone on the ground is excessive and not proportionate to the legal objective. My opinion: Legally: The Crowd Controller is in the wrong. Morally: The patron probably deserved a w00p ass! Any CC on this forum can confirm that the number of f**ktards they encounter in a single night is extreemly high. Whilst everyone else attending these venues may only see the odd scuffle or two they have no idea of the magnitude of work they must endure throughout the night regarding intoxicated persons, violence, abuse, disrespect, foul language, etc...
  4. Best advice ever! I wish someone told me this when i was on my P's and spending useless $$$ doing up a Commonwhore which even after modified was still nowhere near as good as a stocker GTR..... Save ur cash dude...
  5. Have a read through these section of the forums: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Mo...tenan-f139.html ...that should give you a feel for what to look out for. Also, try get out to a few car yards and take em for a drive.
  6. I dunno dude; dont wanna sound mean or anything but that looks full dodgy and if someone recommended i did this to my skyline id be thinking they lost their mind ...but i suppose since its an el cheapo car then i can understand I hope ppl understand there's a difference between needing ur guards rolled, and needing em flared.
  7. I think in the old days especially if ur carby/choke was out of tune it was probly better to let it idle to warm up rather than have it stall in the middle of the road. These days u just start up and drive light/normally until the temp is up....
  8. I think its more noticeable coz ur car is white maybe? Mine is the same. I think its a mixture of road dirt as well as exhuast. I found that a good turtle wax stops any crud from sticking lol
  9. I might d/l the others before i see it. How many was there? 5 or something.....?
  10. Dont forget you run the risk of your paint cracking when they roll it. Thats why they'll never garantee it. Try a different offset rims maybe?
  11. Hit the nail on the head. This has been my position ever since the time i passed my license thinking "That test was too easy" If the government wanted to get serious about bad/dangerous driving then they would greatly improve the course and testing procedures for obtaining a drivers license. And it wouldn't be hard either; simply look to other countries for model course structures... Unfortunately, as it was pointed out in the first post by just one police officer in one week, bad/stupid drivers create revenue....

    Engine Damage

Just to add to the above posts, surging, or sudden drop in fuel at high rpm and on turbo cars isnt good for the motor. But if ur driving normally, then there's no probs....

    Dam Epa

Can't you just disconnect the pwc handcontroller and leave the ecu in stealth stYles? ....im guessing even if u did that and they did an emission test then it wouldnt pass due to the tune yer?
  14. If ur considering paying $200 for a lenient rwc, why dont you just put that money towards another seatbelt?

    Lockdown!

    Implemented in Ballarat rather successfully....
  17. I downloaded all 8.49Gig of it which came with a few extra scenes etc, and even though it wasnt in english i didnt mind the subtitles. At first i thought the names used were made up, but if you google the Angels names for example, you will find that the episodes take on a greater meaning. A few other movies: -Conan the Barbarian -Pumping Iron -300 -Crash
  18. Are you into Japanese manga? Try - Neo Genisis Evangelion If ur not sure what it is....
  19. Drugs or Think of it as pulling a double shift at the office. Have smoko every coupe hours, eat something healthy for energy, stretch ur legs, and have a nap halfway....
  20. I've un-installed the video card drivers and left it like that to rule out problems with the motherboard, RAM, or HDD. Its been going alrite and has not displayed any of my previous symptoms. Its definately looking like a stuffed video card.....
  21. Just tried from scratch now.... Uninstalled everything and re-installed using supplied cd's. Got about 3/4 through the installation, it seemed to try adjust the display setting to a higher resolution and went blank. Looks like i'll be going for the new 9800 GX2 @ approx $750! ...but its got more powaaa!!!!!!!
  22. No No, the picture was different. It was actually 'cutting' into the desktop picture. It wasnt the resize as i know what it looks like. Yer thats what i meant by dos, i ran cmd. Error was -Could not initiate scan of protected files. Specific error code 0x000006ba [The RPC server is unavailable]
  23. Nah i doubt its a cooling issue. Room temps of 20C, it hasnt been hot the last few weeks and i havent used the heater yet. Plus, I had the 20inch fan sitting right ontop of it at full speed. The temps dropped by 10C and it was still doing the same thing. If it is a heat related issue, then the card would've already sustained heat damage; so even if i dropped in an aircon it wouldnt make a difference. I might stop off at the Collingwood swap meet with my card and see if i can get the hardware tested for free. But i'll attempt the re-install the card tomorrow, so im still up for suggestions till then.......
  24. All connections are intact. There is two DVI connections on the card, and im using a VGA adaptor for the lcd. Tried swapping over to the other DVI with no difference. When i loaded normally The screen went all funny. Desktop picture was broken and the icons were 'cutting' into the background. Screen became blue (not BSOD) with colored lines going vertically in a random fashion. A screen popped up for a 1/1000th of a sec and nothing. Went to dos, typed switch and came back with error -Could not initiate scan of protected files. Specific error code 0x000006ba [The RPC server is unavailable] Thats what i've been thinking although testing the temp on the heatsink in Normal and Safe mode, and temps seem to be consistent in both modes. The amount of fans i got on this computer would be enough to make it fly if i pointed em all in the same direction! lmao!!! But to be sure, the other day i sat the tower on its side, grabbed the the room fan (20inch fan), and lay the fan directly ontop of it. Temps on the GBU fell by over 10C but it was still playing funny games! After the screen has its hissy fit, the screen turns off for about 5-10sec (although the times are not always consistent, it has on occasion just hang), then the computer just resets. Doesnt actually shut down. Everything inside is quite clean. The other day i pulled the card off to look closer at the heat sink and fan, and it seems reasonably good. There was a very, slight amount of dust, but nothing that would seem detrimental. Completely removing it and re-installing the card from scratch is probably gonna be my next port of call. I'll wait a day or two for other peoples suggestions, but the way its going it looks like i'll have to. Either that or i go for the brand new 9800 GX2..... mmmmmmm more powa! Thanks for the suggestions so far guys /geek mode
