  1. Im just curious as to what others here will be voting and their reasons why or why not? ...also, did anyone watch the debate last night? What did you think? What are your views on the various issues brought up?
  2. Put a lil sticky note on one of ur rims saying "Im watching you!" ...Then, directly behind where they would be kneeling down at that rim with the sticky note maybe in the bushes or something, put one of them dolls from the movie SAW. That'll freak em out....
  3. ROFLLL!!! ...the funniest shyte i've heard today! Get yourself a IR camera and set it up in the driveway and connect it to the AV to the T.V in ur room. Make sure its well hidden though. You can get good quality wireless color camera's with good IR for relatively cheap these days; mine cost $80 odd... And if u really wanna be jazzy, u can get programs where u hook the camera to ur computer and it begins to record whenever it detects movement and sets off an alarm thru ur speakers
  4. ...wish i didnt have to get up so early so i could come down to these un-cya there.
  5. Agreed... Get yourself a cheap clean 5K car now whilst ur on ur P's and save up for a GTR when ur ready. Thats something i wish i had done....sooo many years wasted without a GTR i'll never get back
  6. Sorry to hear... Get one of these up ya http://www.smokemachines.net/buy-car-smoke...ty-system.shtml
  7. I used to have it years and years ago. I found that the mechanics seemed to have rather basic knowledge/tools so this kind of cover would be best suited to you if you drove an older, simpler car. As for the towing, i had to use it once and wasn't impressed. Waited 45min for the RACV mech to come and and say "Yep, she's buggered, need a tow." ...then had to wait another 1 1/2 for the tow truck . In the end i figured that i'd keep my yearly $70 odd and just call a tow truck straight up in the one off chance its needed.
  8. Sweet! I know what u mean, i'd be able to make something up no probs. Thanks for ur help
  9. Hello all ...im looking at taking my GTR32 to the track when my CAMS license goes through. Now, from my understanding u need to make sure ur bonnet is tied down but im not exactly comfortable with drilling holes in my bonnet to fit em. So is there any other option/product out there i can use??? P.S: Is there a sticky thread (or link) some where that lists all vehicle requirements for putting the car on the track? I think the req are pretty straight forward; just wanna be sure im not missing anything
  10. As already stated..... its just a number and a good car is about having a total package. Hypothetically u could have one car do 250kw and do 13sec 1/4mile, whilst another with 200kw (50 less) go faster with 12sec 1/4 mile. Its a good figure as is for a street car so i'd be looking at bringing the rest of the car up to scratch. ....but thats just my opinion.
  11. A mandrel bend means the inside diameter (ID) maintains a consistent size reducing turbulence and maintaining velocity. Whilst i do agree that 3inch on an N/A 2.5litre may be a little big, the exhaust dude sounds like a tool that just want ur money. EDIT: LoL, i just read the post properly...i dunno where i got the idea ur car was N/A ....go the 3inch dude.
  12. I would love to attend these meetings as it sounds rather informative and a layed back atmosphere. But getting up at the un-holy hour of 3:30AM for work would mean i get fark all sleep Tue night
  13. How did u loose ur old atm card? AND Are you listed in the telephone book? If your card was stolen/lost it wouldnt be hard to look up ur address; then its a matter of playing the waiting game and going through ur mailbox after the posty visits to gather the card, pin, additional mail with detials whilst u sit back wondering whats taking so long for ur card to arrive. ....not that i would know anything about that kind of thing.
  14. The personal shots on here is getting a bit much ppl. Everyone is entitled to an opinion here whether it be to go fight the charge or to suck it up, suck it in, suck shit, eat balls, eat eggs, eat kebabs.....mmmmmm kebab *drools* Lets keep it light hearted or just close the damn thread already. Mulkers can get back to us with the results at a later stage.
  15. It seems there are several ways you can view this case... 1. The facts - 8:05am 58km/h in a 40km/h zone from 08:00. 2. The accuracy in acquiring those facts - variation/discrepancy in time etc. This case can certainly be fought and probably won on the grounds that on your mind/watch it was before 08:00 and so you were abiding by the posted limit of 70km p/hr by traveling at 68km p/hr. A discrepancy of 5min between any two clocks/watches is certainly not inconceivable (...any more would probably tip the case the other way). The fact that other vehicles were traveling at a similar speed would also coincide with that and further add to your belief that you were within limits. So mulkers does have a chance here. But We now come to your previous history which im tipping is not the best and will be a great weight against mulkers. You also didnt mention if you had a clock in your car so you were unable to show or prove the time discrepancy. My opinion? ...suck it up
  16. If this was a one off then i would sympethise with Mulkers, but seeing as you have accrued the points due to a number of traffic infringements then i say suck it up also... kthnxbai
  17. Top job I actually read the whole thing
  18. This may sound stupid, but have u emptied the car of everything? ...keys, cd case, loose change etc. I had a similar problem and found that the cd case in the glove box was rather heavy and bulging. The weight and bulge seemed to push on the glove box door which bowed it by that hundredth of a mm causing the edges/contact surfaces to vibrate during driving, hence the rattling noise. This was on my Commodore mind you I've also found that if a vehicle is parked in the sun every day of its life, after a couple years it could develop a few lil squeaks that way due to fatigue caused by constant heat expansion/contraction....depends on the car though. If ur keen and got the weekend free, try removing (even partly) the dash and maybe try some blu tack on all the contact surfaces, and behind where the screws go maybe??? ....or u could try a re-upholsterer?
  19. What a gawd ugly car! ....at least it ended up where it belongs
  20. I've found this is probably as strong a point arguing for private health insurance as it gets. I made 80K last financial. 1% of 80K would be $800 p/a, or $66.6 p/month which is about the same as what most ppl pay for their insurance now. So one may say, "Well if its about the same then you might as well have it" .....but then what about the Gap that you have to pay whenever you do have to use health insurance??? Taking this into consideration wouldn't you say it ends up costing more actually? ....LoL, im a stubborn prick aren't I ?

Fark yeah, thats one clean looking engine bay!
  22. I dont need contacts or lenses I have perfect teeth, and never had fillings, etc There is no family history of cancer, illnesses, etc etc etc About two years ago i had broken my ankle and went through the public hospital. I was admitted straight away and required surgery involving a metal plate bolted to my bones. I was in hospital for a total of 3 days in my own room. I had the option of a TV for approx $7 p/w. I was in plater for a total of 6 weeks and underwent about 6 weeks physiotherapy without receiving a single bill. Now, If i was on private health insurance, what difference would that have made to my level of treatment???? I spoke with an adviser from HBA that came out to my work the other week and even she could not answer that question with a straight forward answer. All i could make out from her answer was something about paying an excess and a surgeon of my choice??? ....yer coz i hang out with all the surgeons down at the pub and know the difference between them I strongly believe we do not give enough credit to the quality of our public system. As we can see in my case there really was not much more i could ask for. And take a look at the victims of the recent CBD shootings....would you not say they did a fantastic job in saving the life of a non-resident, who does not pay taxes here (not that i know of) let alone have private health insurance? If the doctors deem a problem you have as "non-essential" like a cyst for example then obviously that means that its not going to kill you doesn't it? So if its not going to kill you, whats the urgency? And if you keep your teeth and gums healthy with regular, proper brushing from an early age then wouldn't you have to agree that prevention is better than the cure? I do agree with the $120 ambulance cover fee as that is not fully covered by Medicare. Dont get me wrong, im not having a go at anyone here. Im just really struggling to find a strong argument for having such insurance when the public system caters for all needs anyways. I do also believe that there are people out there with special needs that require that additional care in which case i can then see the benefit in it. ....if someone can give me some really strong, scale-tipping, undeniable facts to actually have private health then im all ears and am more than willing to change my view. Heck, its why i posted the question up
