lol. Yeah they would work well as IC sprayers ! Shame I no longer have an IC to spray
-
SK, they are nice pics, but you'd have to admit, there's nothing like seeing it in the flesh I've spent so much time just looking over this car, admiring the craftsmanship and attention to detail. And as good as it is from the top, the underside is just as amazing ( which I think you've seen from memory ? ). It's funny though, how many people rock up and say it's much smaller than they expected 2630GTS, you have to remember what this car was built for and what was available / allowed at the time. I would LOVE to see what Fred Gibson & his crew would build with today's parts ( and a full Nissan factory budget ). Could you imagine his take on the R34 for an attack on Bathurst Roy, I'll talk to Terry today and confirm the Sydney cars.

LOL ! Yeah mate, have a look and if you're unsure, send me a PM and I'll meet up with ya and install them for you

LOL ! Nice one Mark !! That must have been the race that Rod's son got a drive. Big rev's and then lots o smoke Not the fastest way off the start but damn good entertainment
-
Hi Roy, Yeah, afaik all is good with Terry's 31 and Rod will be bringing his 31. Oh and I believe there will be 1 maybe 2 DR30's in attendance. Edit: 3 31's ?? YEAH BABY !! Only down side is that unlike last year, Brocky won't be there to chase the Skylines around Don't know if you saw the in car footage from Terry and Rod cars ( facing rearwards ) from the last time at PI ? They were being chased by Brocky. I always knew Brocky was a good driver but never knew just how good until I saw that footage. 31Gun will be bringing a few copies down so drop by and grab one if you haven't seen it Actually, just drop in and say Hi anyway !!
-
It doesn't really matter what's going around the track cause it's all entertaining Even the sound of an Alfa GTV climbing out of a corner with it's carby throat's wide open or the thump of the ol XD....... Sweet ! IMHO, these are race "CARS" ! Unlike those things that "look" like cars that race now days
-
Almost certain Terry will not be taking the GT-R to PI. He'll only be taking the 31. If anyone's going to be at the PI event, drop in & say hi. Terry, 31Gun and myself will be there, and it's always good to have visitors Last time I saw the GT-R it was in it's bed and not available for public viewing but I would guess the next opportunity to see it will be at the big Historic meeting held at Eastern Creek yearly. Check the HSRCA calender for that one. Like Beer Baron said, there's so much available now days that supercedes the technology of the early 90's. However, there is some amazing engineering built into the Winfield car that could be used though, like the air induction system. Tasty !!

We did the bench test ( as they did / do with the machine with the bearings and the torque wrench etc ) and the product does work in that situation & under those conditions ( we tried everything to fault it ). We added the Roil Gold to the 1st test engine ( a reasonably healthy RB20DET ) and ran the car around for about 2 months and then put the engine through it's paces ( track time ) and #3 big end bearing let go on the 1st warm lap ( coincidence, maybe ? ). Our plan was to put it on the dyno but the track opportunity came up first so we took it. We then added the Roil Gold to the 2nd engine ( another reasonably healthy RB20DET ) and ran it for about 6 weeks. We performed a leakdown and compression test pre and 6 weeks post the Roil and found that post gave us a drop in leakdown results but the comp test stayed the same. Put the car on the dyno and there was no measurable performance gain from pre Roil. The only thing we found that it had consistently increased was the spool down time of the turbo from engine shut-down ( 18 sec pre to 26 sec post Roil ). We decided not to invest any more time. We added it to a couple of gearbox's and found that it actually resulted in more selection issues since the syncro's didn't want to mesh as well as with just 80W-90. Considering how it went in the gearbox's, we decided it would not be wise to add it to any LSD oil. The only reason I know it works great in the power steering is because I've added it to many cars and it has shown benefits in the way of more free operation and noise reduction ( it completely silenced the near dead power steering pump bearings in my old man's Patrol ). I've discussed my results with many people and have had all sorts of "if's" & "but's" and a few hostile accusations so don't take my opinions as gospel. As far as I'm concerned, try things out for "yourself" and you'll then get 1st hand results as opposed to what anyone else says. Roil Gold seems to work really well in the test conditions that are used to demonstrate the product but just didn't seem to follow through in some "other" conditions.
-
I've gone through some testing with Roil Gold ( bench testing and in car testing ) and IMO, don't use it in your engine, gearbox ( man or auto ) or diff. One place I've found that it works a treat though, is in the power steering.

Japan! Proudly Brought To You By Beer Baron

This........has to be my fav pic ! I know it has nothing to do with cars and chicks but it brings back a flood of memories. I can remember the smell of the icy cold air at sunset in winter, and the atmosphere that is truely unique to Japan. That Garage Saurus R32 GT-R is just so sweet ! I don't know exactly what it is, but most cars from Garage Saurus are horn IMO -
I've got these ( FK452 ) on my car now and they're pretty good. 245/40/18 Front & 275/35/18 Rear. They're not as good as the Toyo T1R's ( and other, more expensive tyres ) but for the $'s they do the trick. They seem to be more of a low cost "Euro Sports Car" tyre with quiet tread, not the firmest sidewalls but have decent grip. I just hope they last longer than FK451's did !

R33, R34 And Stagea Air Deflectors, Many Models
TokyoTaxi replied to Bass Junky's topic in Group Buys
To help get the group buy moving ! Make your engine bay look sick ! Heaps of room to put all your performance stickers OK, from what I understand, it's a splitter to isolate the factory air induction path from the FMIC air path. On a car with a FMIC, the air goes through the FMIC and comes out the back at a higher temp and the warmer air could be inducted into your intake. So, the splitter stops the warmed air from the FMIC from being inducted into the engine. I'm happy to hear any other theories if there are any And no I don't have a turbo or FMIC on my car but I'm going to be using the deflector as part of a little project -
Japan! Proudly Brought To You By Beer Baron

I can sympathise with you on this one ! It really is scary when everything starts to shimmy ! I lived on the north-west coast of america for 5 years and quakes are the norm ( like Japan ) but still scares the $hit outta ya when they're over the 5 mark !! Been in SFO for an 7.6 ( epicenter was 120 miles away ) and it was like the ground was sitting on a layer of Jello. BTW, Love the pics !! ( especially the random ones ) and I have to say I admire the way you capture a good slice of "everything". Every time I was in Japan I just walked around without taking any pics ( always have so much fun I totally forget to even grab the camera ) lol. So making me wish I could go back again -
Hope you guys like the nozzles and if you're happy with everything, don't be afraid to leave Trader Feedback. Once everyone has their goods I'll go through and do the same for you all Oh, and I finally fired em off this morning It's like having mini sprinklers mounted on the bonnet Because they flow more water and disperse the water into a fan shaped spray, it feels like the pressure has dropped a little but it's still good. Try it for youself and see. If you want more pressure, you could do something like what I did to my mate's car when I fitted a set of these for him many years ago. Since he never used the rear window washer, what I did was bridged the front & rear washer motors which are in the same washer bottle ( electrically and water output wise ) and that made for ample pressure. Anyway, see how you go and report back what you think.

So.............. Um............. Any more so we can get things moving ? -
That will be the fall-back plan then ! Got a few other options to try first. Cheers.

So, from now on I'll be known as "The Washer Nozzle Guy" ?!?! Yeah I've decided to give away the whole idea of getting a system made up. Going to go back to looking at bolt-up systems. I've never had a really bad boltup system
