  1. Tis nice to find little unexpected extras Although all I got was 6 Japanese Music cds left in stacker (sound like Japanese Delta Goodrem!) And 10Yen under the seat.......
  2. Will be coming to see you once shes complied Ken Oh yeah, and the Hicas light comes on from time to time. And the car 'tramlines' quite badly....ie will follow any imperfections in the road surface.....Normal..? or Bad wheel alignment?
  3. These are the shocks in my 32 GTR Non height adjustable, car rides like go kart, cannot move car by pushing down on guard. Cant imagine a factory car riding like that. Standard...?
  4. 1510kgs the other day, full tank. Only options that would effect the weight are CDstacker, R34 Alloys, and Jasma Cat back exhaust.
  5. Thanks for all the positive comments guys Had the car a few days now, had a bit of a chance to check it over, and have put about 200kms on it so far with my 48hr Temp driving permit IMPRESSIONS SO FAR BODYWORK: Definate respray, but looks all the better for it, whoever done it has done a very professional job. Car is Arrow straight bar 3 tiny dings and 1 paint chip on edge of drivers door, evidence of sanding size of palm around skyline badge on bonnet....again hard to notice, but I notice it all the time now! inside all doors and boot is same deep shine as exterior. MOTOR: Clock say 66'800, I have no reason to doubt it, but dont get excited by it, as 66800ks around Tokyo is equivilent to 100000+ around Perth Idles a little high 1000rpm, was slight off beat thrum at idle, but seems to have cleared up, otherwise revs very smooth, no smoke. Standard boost and only cat back exhaust means acceleration is 'leasurely' boost comes on very smooth, and geez do they rev!...far cry from my RB30ET!....off boost they feel similar in driveablity to aussie NA RB30 R31s which aint to bad. HANDLING: This is the highlight for me, what a revelation from my old R31 (even though that had Konis, kings, and whiteline fitted) this thing just grips like sh*t to a blanket, NO Body roll, turn in is phenominal, the faster I pushed it, the harder I turned in, it just kept pulling it off, and with apparent ease...can't wait to put this thing in a few competive events....Should be able to take it up to the WRX and EVO boys now! Does still feel like RWD car however and does slide feels great keep boot in and it still pulls you out fine. Different story in the wet however, still slides around heaps....well more than I would have expected, could be due to Mega stiff suspension, and previously overinflated tyres that are close to bald in the middle!...still was lotta fun Heres a few more pics: Interior...MP3 Player, and MOMO Gearknob...Matching wheel yet to be fitted. Rides like a go kart...can't be standard surely...? Called Potenza's I think. CD Stacker not stolen, even had 6 Jap CDs inside!, full tool kit, all trim etc intact, and shiny Underneath, Rear sway bar is new(ish), Cat back exhaust only, car vey quiet. Mysterious little box....any ideas..?
  6. Amerikwi...That is one mean looking ride, obiously a lot of money has been spent and you've shown great restraint whilst modifing it, and it looks the goods due to it...less is more 10/10 E-Lu_Shun yours is sweet to but Amerikiwi is a hard act to follow!
  7. No wories mike, I'll pull the door trims off this weekend have a look see as to whether I want to do it myself, if so I'll buy some Intrusion bars, I can grab some for you if you like also..? BTW, took my car to weighbridge today, which is something you'll need came in at 1520kgs, costs $10 I used a place called Bulkwest on the corner of Stock and Russell rd Spearwood. I think theres one on Gnagara rd for NOR people.
  8. Nah I dunno...it dosnt blow warm air....it blows 'HOT' air 'all' the time no matter what the temp set at...I think the heater is Stuck on...? I can hear some clicking behind the dash whenever the system is tuned on. Thats my job for the weekend
  9. Yeah shes a 90 model. The Body work and paint is really unbelievable (Probably resprayed but meh! )...pics dont do it justice and it aint polished yet...perfect clear deep shine on all panels. I'll post some engine and interior shots soon..... Cars got a few goodies but pretty standard overall...everything is present and seems to work .......bar the AC that only blows HOT air!..? Very happy atm
  10. Heres a few of mine http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...368#post1362368
  11. Picked my car up from the docks today heres a few pics after a quick wash. Extremely happy with the car, Nothing Stolen (Infact previous owner left all his CDs in CD changer!), Runs / drives great, and presents beautifull. I know theres thousands of import horror stories but I must say the whole importing experience for me has been great, with no problems to speak of. Bought the car at Auction on the 31st March, Landed Freo 10th May, Picked up today 19th May. I used Prestige, Japan Auto Direct, and Universal Custom Brokers thruout the experience. 'All' costs incurred so far are: Prestige: $1100 FOB: $14500 Import Approval: $50 UCB Fee: $3840 Total: $19490 Will post more info, Pics, and pricing as I comply it
  12. Before I commit to compliancing myself I think it'll be best to check out my Car when I get it today. But at this stage I fail to see what is so hard about it....!..?...as long as I can find out exactly what parts I need and where to get them I have now performed 4 fairly major engine transplants in my time, SR20DET / FJ20ETs etc into places there not suppossed to be, and had them all licensed. Welding an Intrusion bar, fitting seatbelts, should be a walk in the park! But like I said i'll wait and see today
  13. Noose, 1. A&B Autos Bayswater $125ea, $250 a side ea fitted, not keen on selling as I think they prefer to do the whole compliance job, but will. 2. Did'nt think it had to be done if operating ok..? 3. High mount brake light I got from Kmart $11.00 will fit then remove once complianced probably. Flat drivers Rear view mirror PM Hazerb30 he got me mine $18. 4. 5. Not sure but would like to know...!..?..was going to go to Pick a part wreckers or similar and graft one on from another car. 6. Made one up today on little 'text' sticker machine we have at work. Looks a bit 'Pox' but will do for compliance. 7. My Dad is a Draftsman and knows a few engineers...hes asking around, but if anyones knows someone I'd like to know 8. Child restraint points on rear shelf....SupaCheap $11.00ea pack, easy to install. (Dont go balcatta I bought last 2 ) 9. Tyre placard....Not sure again like to know...was going to go to Nissan get one for Nissan with similar wheels size...Maxima, Aussie 300zx? and stick on. 10. VIN number to be attached to firewall....Mister Mint or similar can make, pot rivet to Firewall. (FTR, AB Autos charge qround $800 - $1000 for the whole compliance job which ain't to bad) btw, Pick my car up tomorow after work
  14. Probably the wrong section to post in mate I'm looking at a similar HP figure to you with my 32 GTR. People will no doubt give you all sorts of different opinions on costs to achieve this figure, and will depend on what mods the car you buy already has but for me as a guide. HKS2530's low mount turbos fit to factory manifold $3900 Sard 700cc Injectors fit factory fuel rail $700 Power FC to needed to run injectors $1000 Tune Power FC (Not install) $400 HKS Extension pipes, better flow from turbo than factory $600 With a full 3" system, and a half decent RB26 motor that will get the HP you require (300rwKWs) with good driveability. Obviously theres more things to add on also like Fuel pump (insurance), Cams ( I Beleive mine has a set already?) and labour to fit if you cannot. Fuel economy depends largely on right foot, but driven sensibly, with above mods should still see a 400km range, but realistically I would expect 250 - 300 used as a toy
  15. Meh...dont really get off on full blown space frame drag cars........ It shares about as much in common with a GTR as your average Hyundai Getz Obviously not to say it wont be bloody nice (And quick) when complete
  16. I would say thats more of an exception than a rule... The japs ar'nt that different to us...at the end of the day selling / Transporting cars is just 'a job', the novelty soon wears off with thrashing cars, even GTRs Plus why would you cane the car and increase the chances of it breaking down or complaints from Suppliers etc. I think we should send the 'Myth Busters' to Japan sort out a lot of these rumours
  17. Oh its landed......... Should be getting it today...............I am hanging off the phone as we speak...... RING YOU B*RSTED RING!
  18. Good news Bout bloody time though!
  19. Noose: yeah yours is the one next to the red 300zx & silver S15 in the 2nd pic As for picking it up I was gunna get it towed $60. If you go down and get yours today be sure to check mine out
  20. I guess this applys to Nenguns prices also..? Is it just luck of the draw as to whether your pulled up on it or not..?
  21. You will have a twin soon then by the looks of it http://users.tpg.com.au/realj/dock3.jpg
  22. I believe he said this is why he's done it 0-100kms sure due to the GTRs AWD advantage after that or from a rolling start my moneys on the HSV over a 'Standard' GTR as they pull some pretty high terminal speeds over the quarter Hes from Adelaide...Barbegellos in WA FTR as a daily driver I'd probably take the 300kw HSV for reasons mentioned above, practicality, ease of driving, luxury, and grunt...........for a toy GTR everytime
  23. Distribution Manager Buttercup Bakeries. Incharge of 70 odd Drivers & 60 Trucks thru out WA......managing people is not fun.....resembles Primary school at times!
  24. Heres some realistic figures for a standard GTR And I cannot understand the fasination with 0-100kmh times anyway, its far from a true indication of a cars true performance, to many low powered cars can return a half decent time due to lack of wheelspin and die in the arse after 100kmh, also 4WD cars (Such as stock GTR) can give seemingly fantastic 0-100kmh times again only to die in the arse afterwards..... 0-400m is a better indicator, as it gives distance and Terminal speed...and terminal speed is what I judge a cars overall accelarative abilities on Oh and FTR my old RB30ET R31 with 253rwKW revving to 5500rpm ran 0-200kmh in under 15seconds (on the street) without really trying to hard, it also ran 100-200kmh in 5th with 208rwKWs in 12 seconds :aroused:
