I had no real problems with Rego and pits....it did fail first time over but that was just due to no 'Govermnet approved' immobilizer. I was reading Unique or Just cars  on the weekend and there was a few 89 GTRs in there for around $20000 No....All a 300awKW GTR should ever be is a toy (for mere mortals like us! ) driving them day to day becomes very costly & inefficient, as your running your expensive tyres, turbos, clutches etc etc into the ground just doing the daily grind, not to mention the excess fuel consumption that comes with a modded car. Get yourself a nice comfortable...cheap to maintain daily driver, keep your toy for best

HELP PLEASE: How to remove R32 Rear seat
PSI_GTSII replied to Murry33's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Actually having said that I had to jam a flat head screw driver into the drivers side of the backseat base to remove it as it was very tight to remove -
HELP PLEASE: How to remove R32 Rear seat
PSI_GTSII replied to Murry33's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
1. 6.5" Speakers are factory hence screw straight in 2. Remove base of seat first, fold and slide front seat forward, jam your leg in there and using your knee for force push back on the seat, whilst putting downward pressure on it with your hands, it should pop up and out as you release it. You can then remove both screws from the bottom of the backseats backrest and remove that, the shelf should slide out. Enjoy -
Never really been a big fan of oversized canon style mufflers. Always loved just a 3" dump style tailpipe however......looks tough

Should be fine I am not changing mine and will have a very similar setup to yours

rb30 engine how long do they last?
PSI_GTSII replied to great one's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Turbo'd mine at 208'000kms lasted 12 months on 280rwHP RB30 could die just like any other motor if not looked after, to hard to say whether the one your looking at with 200'000kms is OK Same as Taxis some of them go for 1/2 a million K's on original motor, some die early.... generally the RB30 has a very good rep for reliability. Ancilarys such as P/Steer pumps, AC, Water pumps etc etc will die just like everything else with age -
For my money a WRX would own a GTs-T in the twisties. Infact it was a WRX, and its superb steering, and directional change abilty that caused me to sell up my overpowered R31 to buy the R32 GTR.... WRXs (and EVO's) are one of the most popular weapons of choice in Motokhanas for a reason

Got my GTR today (56K<)
PSI_GTSII replied to PSI_GTSII's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
This turned out to be the case in mine Had to use a set of Factory GTR rims to comply it, they had brand new tyres....and my car did not tramline at all My tyres on my R34 GTR rims are worn on the inside quite badly and some look to have been overinflated as are worn in the middle....I'll keep driving on them for a while yet...but geez do not let go of the wheel on a 'secondary type road' or you'll be off it ! -
Nah...I've had nothing but respect from most people when I've told them I have an R32 GTR now even hardcore V8 fans...most know it from the old Group A days and its consequent reputation as 'Godzilla'. No ones really had anything bad to say at all Apart from my boss who shat herself when i took her for a drive! I did stop late at night at a BP servo with it, it was pissing down with rain and as I was filling up this Young 'drunk' dood came staggering over, he wanted a lift to Fremantle, to which he had no chance, but he kept hanging around and told me how nice the car was and funnily enough he knew it had an RB26 twin turbo, said he'd love to own a GTR one day...and actually half knew what he was talking about....I was almost tempted to take him to Freo.....but nah...Spew is hard to remove from Carpet

Was going to get my original turbos rebuilt....but am having a set of these GT 2560's fitted instead around the 11th July I will post dyno results but am not looking for Huge HP figures, so dont expect to be overly impressed. I was told they are very similar to N1's. Although I beleive pnblight is running these turbos and has made 530rwHP.....

Got my copy yesterday.....and would'nt ya know it I had issues with playing it....! Game won't start says I have CD /DVD Emulation software on computer....FFS! I've been playing the Demo non stop these last few days....tis awesome Never really got into BF1942 of BF Vietnam...maybe due to not having decent Internet connection...but now with 1.5mghz different story. I'm still learning so sounds like I should stay out of your way R2HKS as i'm still unsure of a lot of the game features and politics....although definately do not stupid stuff such as deliberatly shooting own men....this shits me whilst standing on the carrier waiting for a ride people will take pot shots at you! Helis I can fly OK......Planes I struggle....either map to small or i'm flying to fast....? Love gettin a ride in the blackhawk with a good heli pilot and hanging out the side with the railgun thingy Sniper or Special ops favourate whilst on the ground. Probably grab the full game tommorow...I highly recommended the game to anyone that has'nt tried it, or maybe is unfamilier with the genre

Fresh from Japan pics

So hows the clutch...? You must have taken it round the block.....right!? -
I'm doing something different......mainly due to a few people getting pinged for import duty on Turbos thru Nengun and the like atm. Anywho I'm getting my standard turbos rebuilt using Steel T28 Wheels, and having the Housing Machined, costs just over $1000ea to perform....should see 600fwHP which is probably 100hp more than i'll ever use Did the same thing to my old 'VLT T3' was good for almost 400rwHP, and is still going strong after 2+years. I will post results when complete

Which dump/extension pipes to buy for bnr32
PSI_GTSII replied to «Cyph3r»'s topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I bought the Trust/Greddy Dump Pipes (and Front pipe). IMO they offer the best bang for Buck for my GTR -
I'd be up for a bit of an R32 GTR get together Would make a good photo opertunity. Mine is off road for few weeks atm however, due to water pump failure
-
Have you checked for shaft play yet..? If there is play chances are Blades are hitting housing. Mine made more of a screech when bearing wore causing excessive play(on HT-18 Turbo), blades were hitting housing, snapped bits from the ends of the blades, just wore others, burn marks on blades and housing, still made boost

Challenges involed installing turbo back exhaust??
PSI_GTSII replied to nmcmahon83's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yes proper gaskets not gasket goo is the way to go Yes gettin an exhaust shop to do it is also recommended for the reletively small outlay (do your knuckles a favour ) If you do decide to have a crack, and on your car it should'nt be to difficult, gewt under there now and spray a shit load of CRC on all bolts to be undone....it will make life a lot easier when you come to do it -
anyone recomend a cat back exhaust?
PSI_GTSII replied to noise's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I run a Jasma Cat back on my GTR came in at a very socially acceptable 88db -
Hmmm...bad luck dood....unfortunately you will have to pay the tax So far I have been lucky with NENGUN, but have only bought relatively small packages so far (steering wheel, Fuel reg, Dump pipes), and all have been marked Gift. However your situation has rung alarm bells for me as they were going to be my 'Exact' next purchase!

There was an R32 GTR in at the Tint place I was at having the tint removed from the rear quarter windows and rear screen for the pit inspection as it was deemed illegal, law probably varies from state to state, but i'm pretty sure 35% light transmission is legal in WA. (They test with a tool that kind of resembles a G clamp but with an opening just big enough to slide over the glass, all tint places will have them)

So would a set of these offer much of a performance increase when used with standard cams? And are they hard to fit / Setup...?
