  1. yeah i fitted a moroso accumulator and set it up the way brad mentioned.. seems to work well!
  2. smoke show! this was the run that won me the final battle kinda easy to see why haha.. blinded the NZ driver behind me
  3. WTAC run and done.. just got back 3am this morning so im running low on energy. full write up coming soon. 25 dollar bottom end loved life. smashed limiter and shredded tyres. Missed out on top 16 battles but won the bottom 16 battles beating the NZ guy who won it last year so reasonable effort! car's a bit smashed up.. quick vid here
  4. What's the chassis plate on your car say the engine is? May have been na converted to turbo? Just advertise it as a 20det box and yeah 500 is fair
  5. it is 100% not an rb25 box sorry to say buddy. its either rb25de or RB20det (both are same externally, just diff ratios)
  6. Looks like a non turbo box?
  7. Yeah will do both log and free rev then with Mech gauge
  8. yes thats on the cards... will hook up a mechanical gauge asap and see if theres any dips.. need to borrow on tho, dont have one lying around do you?
  9. rb30e pump.. what can i say.still its not far off the mark going by the old 10 psi per 1000 rpm rule. in my incar footage you can see the oil pressure light (red light on left of dash) come on when engine is unloaded or backing off. dash is fed info from the haltech and light is set to come on under 20 psi . https://vimeo.com/46565580
  10. Would have been over tight with dry seal and not changed in a while. They get real right then
  11. refresh rate for logs is 100ms if that helps
  12. so nothing to worry about then? since pressure is down flow must be up...
  13. yeah i really have no idea atm
  14. didnt have any issues with the car apart from oil pissing out the catch can due to the sump being 2L overfull... after spewing oil out several times and filling the can its finally reached a happy level where it wont do it any more haha. still a fair bit above the H mark too. i now have a massive mess in the engine bay which i need to clean in terms of power and performance... wow.. its like night and day. can leave it in 3rd in the esses, even if following someone and you have to adjust your line in the entry to a slower one you can back off.. get back on the throttle and it just spools straight away haha. exiting the esses you can shift straight to 4th and it pulls HARD up the straight and just bakes 1 and 2 in 4th. loves it! have a slight oil pressure related issue... not sure whats going on. have a read here if you care http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/405788-oil-pressure-dropping-when-no-load-on-engine/page__fromsearch__1 all in all... decent shake down. plenty of grip with the rear DW knuckles in now.. not a fan of the front DW knuckles. i wouldnt recommend them to anyone thats for sure. as a drop spindle they are wicked but for big lock with no bind... nope they dont tick that box. I will be cutting and shutting (in a not so dodgy way) and repositioning the tie rod mount on the knuckle so its more in line with my modified knuckles that i do. It should be easy enough to do due to the construction of the DW knuckle as its just made out of welded plate steel. I wont do it before WTAC as theres to much to do and EC isnt a big angle entry track anyway so worry bout it when i get back.
  15. well thats the thing,... i have logs from when i ran the rb25 bottom end with nitto pump (brand new) and it shows the same characteristics as this. just the numbers are different. makes me wonder if its an overly sensitive sender issue or a real issue
  16. sample of log http://imageshack.us/f/3/datalog.jpg/ might have to magnify to view
  17. has an interesting problem and im not sure if itts engine related or haltech + oil sender related. Both my rb25 and rb30 engines (both with different oil pumps, restrictors etc) show up in data logs with dips in the oil pressure when you back off. so for example when your on the throttle. boost is up, rpm is up oil pressure is up. when you back off quickly.. (straight line or corneriing, does not matter.) the boost turns to full vac and tps to 0 oil pressure dips down to 15-20 psi for 0.1 of a second or something. RPM remains the same since im still in gear.. its not oil surge. sump is way overfull as it is. does it in a straight line, turning left or right. and its random too. if anyone switched on wants a copy of the data logs i have them.. it seems almost to me that once the load is removed from the engine, oil flow goes up and pressure goes down. as soon as load is put back on, oil pressure goes up.
  18. thrashed the shit out of it tonight... holy f**k... the torque... the speed... its amazing
