  1. as far as conversions go... its an easy one
  2. so many variables that its hard to put a figure on it. but if you dont slip the clutch and dont drive like you're racing it everywhere theres no reason why you couldnt expect many years of service from an NPC clutch.
  3. LS7 anyone? factory 377 kw motor lol
  4. pick up the latest drift battle mag.. local SA guy has his car featured in there. LS1 into a 31. goes pretty well. Failing that speak to Jautech in adelaide, they did most of the work on it
  5. of course the timing marks on the balancer are going to be the same.. these things are made to better then OEM specs
  6. its the 2nd box ive broken both times its always 3rd gear that gets stripped. as for the turbo the verdict from MTQ was oil starvation... not sure how tho :S

  13. fkn tight.. its a big bolt you wont break it
  14. Need a spanner our shifter on the flats on the cam shaft then undo the hex bolt. Its tight!. Cam gear just come off then. Do it up tight again and you can't go wrong
  15. best thing for neutralising any acid spill is hot water and bicarb soda mixed together
  16. Its a wet cell battery so it will have a breather hole. So not totally sealed at all. Just fill it up as mentioned above and charge it again
  17. and some pics and more info here http://www.smdrift.com.au/1/post/2012/06/adgp-round-2-prepping.html
  18. NPC 10" carbotic sprung single. holds up to everything i throw at it!
  19. Spent all weekend on the cart prepping it for Calder park coming up. Basically needed to fix oil leaks and stuffed rack bushes so I went up to garage 7 and ripped out the cross member, rack and sump. While it was all apart I had planned on upgrading the oil pump gears with reimax gears for reliability, couldn't get any in time so went with spoil billet gears. Anyway pulled oil pump out and found the housing was scored to hell. The spool great was also way too loose on the crank collar with clearances about 20 thou on each side. Max allowed is 11 thou. So that ruled that out. Only quick solution available to us was to fit a complete nitto pump. Garage 7 had one on the shelf luckily. Measured clearances with collar and was perfect. While the sub frame was out I got Decs to cut and reposition the rack further forward. Came out mint, chucked some new rack bushes in and re sealed the sump and put it all back together. We also fitted a 3 bar map sensor and did some fiddling with the boost control to avoid the over boost cut issue I was having. Just need a touch up tune and wheel alignment and I'm set
  20. i have one in my RB30E+t 180sx, went the organic due to still running rb20 box . it handles evereything you throw at it haha.
  21. i highly rate the NPC organics. such a streetable clutch that puts up with a lot!
  22. man that casting is rough on that manifold... but never the less some heavy handed spanner work obviously caused it. i find it strange that its fine when warm but once hot it reads 0 psi compression... usually takes a hole or a valve stuck open to actually get NO compression.
