  1. to be honest i'd probably just measure the rail pressure... soon as its dropped pressure you can investigate why. if the surge pump has failed then you'll find it during your investigations.
  2. 32 box normally uses cable... sender bolts to the box and then cable to sender. the sender can be swapped out for a silvia (s13/s14) unit and then wired to the skyline gearbox loom. R34 has electronic speedo sender so the wiring should be there still. i think you should get some pics of your gearbox and how its all mounted and then post them up so we can give you the real story... its possible your mechanic doesnt know
  3. either way. the lift pump died and i had no way of knowing about it. will be wiring a fuel pressure sensor into the reg and wiring into the haltech to monitor it in future.
  4. you can run a silvia speedo sender which is a 2 wire pulse sender unit like a 34 one. however... why does it have a 32 box in it?! i'd be selling it all and fitting the correct Rb25 box
  5. like every other surge tank out there. fuel rail returns back to the surge tank
  6. are you sure it is an R32 box? the tailshaft would be the wrong length...
  7. as kitto said... i melted 2 pistons as a result of leaning out with a dead pump... certainly didnt cough and die.. didnt even know it had happened. the two 044's continued to suck fuel thro the lift pump and full tank. all the signs of leaning out were there tho. engine ran hotter, overheating issues etc.
  8. hahaha yeah its baller as... and to think that was my qualifying run! got clocked at 147 kph sideways in the dirt over that crest and held it....sketchy as
  9. loving this pic now
  10. 08 model with the 3L D4D motor. goes alright. mate bought a prado same year with the 4L petrol motor and it used twice the amount of fuel for the same trip and goes the same speeds up hills haha. but yeah the prado is more comfy for 4 ppl
  11. still cant go past the hilux as a budget tow vehicle... just did another interstate trip doing 12.5L per 100kms while loaded stops well, pulls up hills just fine and sits on 110 without even feeling the trailer. only real issue is traction cause i have shit tyres on atm but will get some good treads when these are due for replacement.
  12. it does... and i wish i saw the light earlier haha. oh well you live and learn. loving this shot!
  13. ive got an NPC organic in my 180sx skid car with rb30et power... holds great. if i had a street car i'd run one of these..
  14. thanks mate yeah this car has allowed me to mush myself harder every time i drive it.. great fun!
  15. you should never put a lightweight flywheel in a street car... totally goes against anything streetable
  16. Npc also do a 10" organic clutch which is rated to 280 rwkw. Jap__star on here has one and pushing 300 rwkw. Very driveable and would be perfect for a street car.
  17. Npc pull clutch 10" carbotic will handle everything you throw at it and nice and streetable too.
  18. subframe has solid alloy bushes which raise it up as far as it will go. tilting not required. i was using achillies ATR sports 255/40/17 and with 30 psi in them in tghe dry it was very very grippy. defo the best chassis ive driven out of all my cars.
