  1. You need a LED test light to test for pulses on injectors and coil s
  2. low car, angled driveway. happens more often then you think
  3. helicals have their own issues... while they are quieter they are next to useless when one wheel leaves the ground
  4. What car is it? If its a 33 its a walk in the park on the ground. Put car on stands and have two trolly jacks on stand by. You can remove box and overall it with the use if two jacks. No lifting required. Use a small ratchet strap to secure to one if the jacks. I use a long pole between the dump pipe and chassis rail to lever it and angle the motor down a much as you can. If its a 32 with 25 box its harder
  5. Engine is probably just getting on a bit
  6. nismo dont do 1 ways for RWD diffs. its probably a 1.5 way
  7. No you can leave the gearbox where it is and pull the motor out instead
  8. CAS signal is rock solid all the way thru the rpm range.already checked that
  9. its beginning to sound like it is. any more info?
  10. lol do whatever man. im done giving advice on this topic
  11. tootight or too loose a timing belt will make some weird noises
  12. new loom is a haltech loom, comes with shielded cables for the CAS and triggers. Cas wiring runs under the intake manifold where as the ignition wiring runs from behind the head straight to the valley cover. I doubt thats the issue. We initially thought a faulty CAS or wandering signal might have been the issue... i held a timing light on the timing marks while decs ran it up to the point where it would missfire and the timing did not move around at all. fuel pressure is spot on.. 40psi at idle and rises to 60 psi by 4000 rpm + boost pressure. does not move at all also.
  13. yes you can still use all those things HOWEVER making the abs work will be very time consuming. just get a s2 R33 loom
  14. Yeah its to allow more accurate running by blocking one side of the twin pipes so all the disuse passes thru the wide band
  15. Tried everything on the tune, more timing and fuel and even pulled fuel and timing out and nothing made a difference.
  16. Hey ail just wondering if anyone else has has spark related issues when running a haltech. Yesterday we tried tuning my car which has new plugs and brand new spitfires and it didn't matter how we gapped the plugs or set the dwell we had a major miss at anything over 12 psi and 4000 rpm
  17. Needs side skirts and front bar support yet Had it on the dyno yesterday.. had some normal teething issues and some not so normal once.. had oil leaks and coolant leaks everywhere...including a leak from the radiator anyway sorted that shit out and then started the run in process. the engine was run in for a bit with some hard core load by holding it at 4000 rpm and then increasing the load, did that for a bit and its sweet... engine runs and sounds great. however once we started getting into the tune we found it would just missfire like crazy at anything over 4000 rpm and 12 psi boost. Decs tried pulling fuel and timing out, adding fuel and timing and a combination of both, nothing made a difference. we tried gapping the plugs down to 0.5mm then 0.8 and then 1.2mm. none made it better. Coil packs were brand new 34 GTR Splitfires. only thing we can put it down to was faulty coilpacks.. so that effectively ended it for me. On top of this drama i have a clutch that doesnt disengage properly.
