  1. anyway i should mention that my block is stripped right down... pushed the block on engine stand down the road from the workshop to the machinist... quite the sight really someone pushing an engine stand with block down the street... beats carrying it tho... lol some old woman abused me too. bitch! block is getting a dip, clean, deck and hone, crank being linished and grub screwed. nothing too crazy!
  2. have delt with two neo's lately that have spat shims out messy and written off heads is the result. not going to run the risk...
  3. What did you want for it man. Pm me if need be
  4. neo head isnt bad but has shitty shim over bucket rather then rb26 shim under bucket. besides i'd need an adaptor for the ITB's.
  5. goes fkn hard! just sayin
  6. get a cable from a different nissan...
  7. yeah but evidently not enough.. something the haltech should have a lot more control over. got some other cool things happening// getting some carbon parts made up. Bought an RB26 head. got new pistons and rings on the way... motor should go back together soon
  8. Tow to tuner and let him sort it out. Theres no point in running it if it's not tuned for it. Rich running won't do rting sealing any favors at all
  9. nistune does have temp protection in the form of rich and retard. but it all happened so quick :S
  10. lol i need one of them also.. should have asked you today about it
  11. stock with tomei type B poncams one of them was my mate andrew from AM performance, did track days at winton and mallala and then boom just slipped a shim out.
  12. yes
  13. decent manifold + .63 ex gate housing and 44mm or larger ex gate = loads of flow really. EGT's dont get any hotter then .8 at same power levels. i know i rather a 300 rwkw .6 rear on 18-20 psi which comes on earlier and has loads more midrange torque for the street then compared to a 300 rwkw .8 rear on 16-18 psi that is laggier. and yes i have had plenty of exp with both housings and set ups.
  14. i can point out 3 cars here all of which run same turbo and set up. well mines a little more crazy running e85 and other bolt ons. but all rb25's are making over 300 rwkw with a .63 rear and none show any taper off from the top end. mine made 365 rwkw in fact.
  15. just to rehash and old thread.. neo's use shim over bucket solid lifters where as RB26 use shim under bucket design.. i have had 2 customer cars lately with neo's that ave spat shims out and destroyed heads with high rpm track use and tomei drop in cams. I run the same cams in my drift car and havnt had an issue with shims spitting but it makes you wonder.
  16. 3076 all the way.. and 300 rwkw wont be your limit either.. with more boost you can keep going.
  17. IW and 300 rwkw dont really go hand in hand easily im afraid
  18. ^^^ impressive considering the boost levels.
  19. Im chasing an rb26 head complete minus intake manifold and exhaust side. In SA. PM me please. Cheers Simon
  20. got the dash flocked... looks much better then the shitty cracked look lol
  21. pm sent vu
  22. suspect head cracked which caused intense boiling in the cooling system. Mallala on a 35 degree day and 4th gear full load saw it get very farking hot quickly. im very certain that if this motor was not running e85 it would be nothing more then a pile of scrap. sussing options atm...
  23. ok so mine is no longer alive lol. pulled it apart yesterday and its grim... it was majorly overheated due to cooling issues on a hot day... it went from 100 degrees to 135 degrees in an instant. melted 1 and 6 pistons
