  1. yeah the swirl pot will have the radiator cap. it just mean filling the system will be a pain
  2. would anyone see a problem with doing away with the rad cap on the radiator all together? for one its not going to be needed and secondly i can weld a nipple on the top tank in an elevated spot for the feed to the swirl pot anyway.
  3. test fit of bonnet and radiator clearance.
  4. some dummying up of parts and lining shit up for the tube frame.
  5. fuel costs is a big issue IMO. at the end of the day it all adds up. not all of us have endless cash to play with to be able to use luxury 4wd's as tow cars and not worry about how much fuel your v10 twin turbo is going to use going from perth to qld... I know for me i have to budget carefully for every aspect of an interstate trip.
  6. At least with npc they have after sales suppor, something you won't get from ebay.
  7. true that! i did wakefield park and back in my mates ford courier duel cab... shared the driving and seats front and rear between 3 of us... rear was only bearable due to the fact we could lay across it.. if it were 2 ppl in the back i would have shot and left them on the side of the road by now lol ,.
  8. manual mate, couldnt deal with an auto lol. yeah back seat comfort might be an issue. any suggestions? heres another vid from new years eve skids haha
  9. the 33 and 34 shrouds will be taller then 32 GTR
  10. ideally a shroud covering the whole radiator so the fan can pull air from the whole core and niot just the area the fan sits
  11. 56T anti surge housing here and zero surge related issues.
  12. this the one to go for? http://www.spalusa.com/store/main.aspx?p=itemdetail&item=30102113 anyone sell them in aust or do i buy from spal direct?
  13. Starting gathering parts for the cooling system overhaul I'm doing to my drift car atm. I'm ditching the clutch fan set up mainly due to the fact I just don't have the room to fit all the parts required with out trimming something to make it fit. Now I plan on running a tabata alloy core with an alloy shroud made up to space thermo and mount then too.am I beyer off running one large 16 inch spal fan in pull configuration or two 12 inch spal fans side by side also in pull mode? I also plan on running a header/swirl put set up. Does any one have a diagram to correctly hook this up and what radiator cap I should be using on both the header tank and the rad itself?
  14. slight update.... car is off to AM for some tube frame work and i got a new tow rig
  15. Pic of my rig and my car totally stripped out. cant really gauge how its gonna tow since its basically an empty shell lol. couldnt even feel the trailer and car on the back
  16. i drive around wingfield day in day out. never seen kids playing in the streets or on the side of the road....
  17. its a bloody industrial area, kids shouldnt be on the road anyway. some of the speed limits around south road are a joke atm. still 40 when nothings going on. or worst yet. 40 when all of a sudden it bottlenecks into 1 land and theres roadworkers standing on the road pretty much begging to be collected by a B double,.
  18. i find that a little odd since i recently towed my car to calder park from adelaide using a mates 97 model RNZ hilux with the 2.7l petrol. While it required lots of gear changes and revs to get up to speed it sat on 110 reasonably well on the flats. chewed fuel like no tomorrow tho lol
  19. they are a 60K rip LOL. but yeah the new ones have a lot better trim spec. i drove a 2011 model one the other day and they are a fair improvement over the old ones. mate of mine has a 97 model and its just crude as hell. i just bought an 08 model... seems like its got plenty power for towing. if it can sit on 110 without downchanging for a slight hill then thats decent for a tow car for me.
  20. how come they are shit? genuine question
  21. hayman reece refused to make a towbar for my stagea
  22. he does have a point to some degree tho. if you have an engine with low power and large loads and you have to floor it everywhere to get anywhere then you will use more fuel. same loads but with a more efficient/powerful engine will use less fuel as it will pull the load easier
  23. stock mint cond R32 Airbox! $50 cheap PM me if your keen
  24. D4D powered hilux is around the 8.6-9 L per 100
