i have a set of GTR rods for sale cheap if you want some.

more work done... WTAC is fast approaching! with the 30 bottom end being taller.. i kinda expected a few things not to fit.. however the only thing requiring mods to fit was the sump pipe and the wastegate screamer pipe so i went down to AM Performance and got it all modded to fit.. while we were there we fixed the titanium exhaust up which saw massive damage to it from rock pit at Tassie and Ben Purtell rear ending me haha. so all thats left is tune, wheel alignment, skids then fit new kit and reapir the damage in the back. then more skids! heres some pics!

interesting read.. im a mechanic also and i agree with a lot of your (somehwhat long winded) post i do not however agree with the quoted part.. the water pump is only different on the small M6bolt that on an RB30 is nothing more then a bolt with a mount point to allow the bottom half of the timing cover to bolt to it. the whole water pump is held on by 4x M10 x1.5 bolts and 8x m8 x1.5 its plenty strong and structual enough to do without one pissy little m6 bolt.

I had a 26 head on this with no problems. The Neo and non Neo pistons are same deck height and pin height but Neo piston is stronger. The difference is in the Neo head. so all in all. Any 25 or 26 head will work

you will loose a fair wack of midrange torque

no you use nissan clearances regardless of the camshaft

sure does... it fired up very first crank of the key... couldnt believe it. runs and idles very well and is super responsive to throttle.. its looking promising

if you organise the courier and what not... i can wrap it nice and secure.. wouldnt be a problem. not the lightest of things haha.

if you put more throttle in when it shudders does it then go away? if so... mechanical LSD.. usually shudders when on light load turning. more throttle or in neutral should stop it shuddering

They are all OEM replacement parts...that just happened to be sold on Ebay. You'll be fine

Haha in my drift car which is actually set up to put power down very well with 330 rwkw it wheel spins first slightly but grips the rest of the gears no worries. Alignment and good tyres make the world of a difference

If they supply pays they will always add markup. Buy your own parts and it should work out cheaper.

note: has been used since freshen up... removed due to RB30 conversion instead.

Neo bottom end with the following mods - crank grub screwed and crank collar fitted. - new acl race bearings - Hastings rings fitted - arp rod bolts with rb26 prepped rods - oil restricters and block of fitted - mls head gasket - block has been washed, cleaned, honed and decked. -brand new nitto oil pump. pure torque... when i break 3rd gear its always a result of lagging and then clutching it to get it going again... the chock loading is distroying the box not the actual engine torque... hopefully with a more responsive and torquier set up it wont do it.

dont need vct when you have 3L of nissans dirtiest!
