  1. r34 gtt rb25neo ok so i just finished installing tomei poncams 260deg 9.15mm lift bosch 040 fuel pump z32 afm bosch 750cc injectors power fc im using the standard fuel rail and plenum i started it up fine but she was puffin the black smoke so i assumed it was running way too rich. it now doesnt start prob flooded and spark plugs all carboned up. i have a power fc and have no clue how to just do a basic adjustment of the settings just so she idles and runs so i can get it out for a test drive and then on the trailer to get it tuned professionally. any help would be greatly appreciated.
  2. well my injectors didnt tick before, some people rekon it might be a gasket flappin on exhaust manifold
  3. knock is fixed was the belt tensioner or the CAS had a bit of play in both. now there is like a tick sounds like something is hitting something
  4. under the hood it says 0.20 and tomei says 0.45 i figured with the extra lift it would need the bigger clearance?
  5. the clearances recommended by tomei are diff to the clearences noted under the bonnet. i did not even bother to check them as i thought they were hyd lifters. guess im gonna need a micrometer

Skyline r34 gtt (rb25det neo) I just installed some tomei poncams type b 260 degrees 9.15mm lift and as stated by tomei no need to upgrade the valve springs. i also installed the adj cam gears but only the exhaust side would fit, intake cam gear didnt match the intake camshaft. so i just used one old and one new the timing is perfect and the knock is only on idle and coming from the exhaust side. at first i thought it was the CAS but not too sure. im running stock afm and injectors at the moment but will upgrade once the knock has gone and it hasnt been tuned yet but that shouldnt cause a knock. any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.
  8. guess my post didnt show up, the guys at an alarm shop replaced the chip inside my alarm allowing a turbo timer to be used with it. no needing to change anything, the chip cost $20-30
  9. i honestly dont know what im trying to achieve, current mods are poncams, z32, fmic, exhaust turbo back with hi-flow cat. im thinking of getting a t04z turbo but have no funds at the moment. basically the since the valves are open for longer i figured they need more air and fuel so i bought the z32 afm just unsure what size injectors and fuel pump to go to.

Hi guys, im looking at upgrading my fuel pump but im not sure which one to choose..been informed that a bosch 040 or a walbro 255lph is the way to go just thought id see what everyone else thinks. heard people are selling the ones mentioned above for 044 and stuff. if anyone could point me in the right direction would be much appreciated. Also what injectors i should get. thanks
  11. thanks guys but i just bought a $20 chip that replaces the existing one in my alarm (which is suitable for turbo timer) and problem fixed
