  1. Damn it... I want a 10
  2. First Rule: Unless you've come to a complete stop, don't ever put it back into 1st whilst still moving. You *can* put it into 1st when at a reaaaaaaaaaly slow crawl but that's not even necessary... 2nd will do fine even from there. And even if you're "< 10km/h", it's obviously still too fast, because it'll do exactly what you're describing. "i go to shift down into first and it wont go in... If i try and force it it crunches BAD" Second Rule: NEVER FORCE YOUR GEARBOX. It's telling you "NO!" for a reason. Great way to fcuk up your gearbox mate. Third rule: Read "First Rule" again. These are pretty basic driving skills dude
  3. I agree with Terminal. You should pretty much NEVER put the car into 1st gear whilst rolling, especially not at the approach to a roundabout!
  4. Awwww... Did I hurt your pu55y? edit: Scotty, that definitely wasn't a swipe at you... What you're asking is a VERY fair price!!
  5. Sorry Mark and others, I honestly didn't mean to be hard up on you... An 11 is an excellent effort, and especially considering your imperfect runs, heat soak (I can't believe you got so many runs in!!! We're lucky to get one run an hour at WSID) and low boost setting. I'm just starting to doubt whether my turbo choice will allow me to break into the 10s, and these results just didn't fill me with confidence, that's all
  6. hahahahhahaa... Well an 11 is an excellent time, well done. The reason why I was so surprised/crest-fallen/upset in hearing that it only managed 116mph was because I'm going for the smaller GT-SS turbos on mine, and I want a 10 out of the thing. Granted, I'll be using nitrous as well, a whole second is quite a lot to make up for with nitrous. Hmmmm...
  7. Yeah, that's pretty slow for a GTR with GT2530s... But I guess he was only running 1.2 bar boost... New clutch and 1.6 bar and hopefully he'll break 120mph...
  8. Is that with 2530s? Only 116mph? Hmmmmmmm....
  9. Jesus you guys sure are leaving early! Gates don't open until 10am!!
  10. Daewoo Matiz?
  11. Aphex: Glad to see you've set aside a realistic budget for getting your GTR back in good shape again. It's amazing how fast those little fixes add up and clear $5000... and if the car isn't in the best shape to start off with, or you're anal like I am... an easy $10000 just to get the car back to it's former glory days.
  12. I found this step amazing!!!! I think it's safe to say that 90% of people reading this thread have NEVER had such detailed steps of the repair process outlined for them like this... AWESOME!
  13. Motion to add: "Ability to forsee the future" to the list of pre-requisites for the office of SAU NSW Events Manager benm: I'll just be spectating...
  14. So you drove the car all the way through 3rd gear (170km/h-ish... You did all this on a closed, private road right?) and you were only able to pull 4 car lengths on a Hyundai? I think you're the one who should feel ashamed
  15. I'll be at Jamboree on Saturday (but all the interesting drags take place on the Sunday )
  16. In all honestly, if I had realised that the Jamboree was on these dates, I wouldn't have entered the SAU Show 'n Shine. Out of all the weekends, it was organised for the weekend of Drag Combat firstly, and then moved to the weekend of Jamboree...
  17. By no means am I putting down the R32 GTR. It was a legend for a reason. All I'm saying is that take a step back and think about all the little kids saying that the R33 is a boat, and that it's SOOOO much heavier than the R32, and blah blah blah... They've most probably never even driven a GTR, let alone done a back-to-back comparison between them both. There are good and bad points of both cars when compared side by side, but nowhere near enough to warrant the R33 bashing that some 16 year old kids like to partake in, because they read it in a magazine.
  18. Any stains?
  19. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA... Eric... You trouble maker!!!
  20. Whilst this is true (about the different diff ratios), you must remember that the R34 version of the RB26DETT makes a lot more power than the R32/R33 version. Even though they're still rated at 206kw, it is regularly seen that dead stock R34 GTRs are spinning up in excess of 220-230kw @ all four wheels on the dynos.
  21. Hmmmm... Did I just do your assignment for you? Feel free to make a small donation to the forums if you find out posts helpful!
