  1. Oh yeah, the rims are 16", the usual nissan 5 stud pattern
  2. Hey Guys, Just have a sub and some rims + tires for sale, I need to buy a bed and subs and wheels are not very comfortable to sleep on The sub is a home unit - 12" Isobaric 350WRMS, basically 2 carbon fibre subs one in front of the other in a big box. I built it a few years ago and it cost about $1400 at the time. It could do with a bit of paint tho, but it still pumps pretty hard if you want it to, I went a bit over the top so I wouldnt need to thrash it. It has not had much use for the last two years, but its hooked up at the moment so you can have a listen - bring your own music to give it a test Its a pretty big unit and takes two people to lift it! Chasing about $500 Skid rims- stock r32 rims with some goodyear rubber, there is a bit of tread left on them but two of them have some camber wear on the outside, plus there is a spare tire. After about $180 Located in hobart, prices negotiable - I dont have a mobile, so shoot me a pm and I will give you a call, thanks
  3. Hey all, Unfortunatly I am going to have to sell my R32 GTS4, things have changed and I am going to need something more practical, something I can park on the street... Anyways, the car has been my project for the last 8 months and has just gotten 6 months rego and has 130k on the clock - if it has been wound back I doubt it was by much. The engine has been replaced with a low k's import which has had all the gaskets replaced, new timing belt and water pump. Mods are limited to a heavy duty clutch, walbro fuel pump, RB25 turbo, and R34 intercooler - running 10psi atm and ready for more. The body is pretty damn straight, a few blemishes I will get to later - but for now it has the factory type M body kit, and some rather unfortunate mirrors (easily replaced) stock wheels with new Federal tires (I have only done a few k's on them). To get it sorted for rego I have replaced a handful of ball joints and dropped in a hicas lock bar (everything removed and ps fluid routed thru the cooler) In the rear there is some coilovers (I will check the brand later) and stock in the front, the hks coilovers that were there are too stiff for my liking - but I did just spend $350 on new strut tops because the original ones with spherical bearings were worn out. Interior is in good nic, the steering wheel, gear shift and h/brake boots dont have much wear, the carpets (under the original mats) are the same, and the dashboard has none of the usual bubbles. Now the bad, the coilpacks have just this week given up. I have pulled them out and sealed them up which has drastically improved things, but it still misses - I just cant afford to throw new spitfires at it, so it doesnt get driven. The car was left outside by its previous owner and the roof has bubbled a bit after a really hot day, just needs the roof to be resprayed. Oh, and it needs a wheel allignment - I will try and get this done soon however. So spend about an extra $1k on it and it will be a really great car I am chasing about $9,000 for it, negotiable for a quick easy sale. I would like to keep it and finish it off, but I have some pressing priorities like finding somewhere to live and buying a bed. The car will be garaged in Hobart till its sold, and has just had a service with platinum plugs, motul 4100 oil and filter. I dont have a mobile phone at the moment, so best way to cantact me is via PM, and I will give you a call or whatever. Thanks for looking Pictures: It was a bit wet today, so I will get some more photos next weekend if I have some time Swaps: I am keen to get a subaru liberty wagon (has to be manual) an old school one is fine, but I would probably want some dollars thrown in. Or mabey a forester if you are keen, but I dont have any money to send your way.
  4. I picked up a skyline r32 gts4 last year, it was pretty straight bar the head gasket - and after 8 months of rebuilding, cleaning, chasing bits and some major headaches I have just stuck the rego label on the thing! Unfortunatly a lot has changed in the last 8 months and I wont be able to keep it Expect a fs ad after I get some pics after the weekend. A big, big thank you to GrandmasterB aka Ben, and Ben and Barnzey at SPGarage who all went above and beyond the call of duty helping me get the thing on the road
  5. Is there any chance you might be able to relay the info on the V8 into 180sx - its something I have been curious about for a while and might end up on my list of future projects, cheers
  6. from the supermarket you should be able to get some sticky stuff remover - I grabbed some for interior plastics, so Im not sure if is ok on paint - i.e read the label
  7. I have read they are a major improvement on the old tt's, and the interior is very well sorted... But I dont think its enough to drag me away from a GTR... Now what am I missing, oh yes! about $160k... Damn.
  8. They got it right in the R32 - no cup holder. Which is annoying for the first few minutes, then you just get used to not having one and you get over it
  9. I would stay away from the volvo personally, a mate of mine recently picked up an early 90's wagon - cant remember exactly which model, but the old square shaped sluggish pos, and we just put a couple of grand worth of beilstiens, springs, bushes etc... and it still handles like a bucket of mashed crabs... If it were me I would simply grab a reasonable WRX, drop n a front mount painted black and swap the bonnet over for a na one, job done. or just buy a Mitsubishi RVR Hypergear, not sure about where you are, but there is only two I know of where I live and very few people would know what they are looking at.
  10. Ah, Im in Hobart - I might see if I can work out if I can get it back here somehow before I bother you too much, cheers
  11. Where abouts are you located, and would you have the stock exhaust from the cat back? Cheers Dave

  16. Here's a link to an autospeed article which covers a bit of theory, building one and testing on a toyota prius mostly for fuel consumption, but they do describe some handling benefits - Worth a read
  17. ChaseCam - uses the info drom your datalogger and overlays video of you on the track i.e you can even hook up a gps - read more here
  18. I got's one - you have PM
  19. I think I have a spare, I will check tonight for you
  20. $10 says that in a few weeks you will think back and say "what was I so worried about?" - You will be fine
  21. There is an article in Custom Kitcar issue 4 on this kit, it says they are developing a hard top and electric windows. Getting it registered shouldnt be too difficult, the biggest factor is the engine, in QLD 1998 or newer, NSW 2005 or newer, ViIC needs 2003 or newer (best to check yourself tho). Speak to transport about building an ICV - Individual Constructor Vehicle, they will give you a bunch of paperwork to fill out - I did mine for the clubbie ok with specs found on the internet and general guesswork, DRB will be able to help. Then get in contact with an engineer, transport will give you a list of local engineers, and look on www.ozclubbies.com for recommendations. Pick a good one you get along with, you will be asking many, many questions. Its a big job, but very rewarding
  22. I had the same problem in my gts4 - same setup tho. It is right up near the top of the box and a pain to get to. Basically, undo the bolts holding the box xmember and let the tail drop. The device is just forwards of the gear shifter, there is an inspection plate on top of the box and the lockout bit is just down from the side of that. Remove one 10mm bolt and then lever it out with a small flat head screwdriver - no room so its a pain in the ar$e... remove the guts of it and reinstall. Not difficult to do, just difficult to get at it because you cant really see what you are doing and there is no space to work. Cant help with where to go to to get it done, but I did it at home in my shed
  23. Awesome -Youre not wrong about a couple of years, I have been building my clubman for about a year and a half, and Im about half way through. Keen to see pics and build log!
  24. No worries, I shall find out for you Dori Both seats are now sold - Thanks Guys
