omg 3207 pages in 8 months. is that some kind of record? is there any way of working out what percentage of these belong to gts-t vspec?

steve, reading what you were saying about the hose size going onto the banjo fittin, would this mean that the standard fuel hose size might be too small ? you said you used 3/8 hose, im guessing this is about the same as a -8, where most fuel lines are -6 (i think, not with car atm to check). ive just bought a 044 to install. would it be worth running a earls hose from the tank in -8 under the car (mount the ss hose in a alloy pipe while under the car) then up the frount thought filter before entering the fuel rail. in that situation i would also need to mod the fuel rail to take the larger fitting size. anyone got any thoughts on that one?

ive thought about this also. and do plan on setting it up one day. i dont know how much power the mirror motors draw so playing it safe might require a few relays, one for open and one for close. you might want to have a switch to be able to turn this feature on and off. with the relays have this switch control the main power imput of the relay (save having two switchs) or have a cross over relay that when the ignition is on the relay doesnt send power to the other relays find the wires that controls the door lock unlock. correct the lock to the relay used for close and the unlock to the relay used for the open. if you find the mirrors are not opening or closing fully you might need to add a capacister. by slicing into the harness you leave your original switch working at all times, this will solve the problem some find with remote start ect. hope this has been of help. do tell if you get it done i would be interested to know how ya went.

ive been let of that many times for doing shit wrong its not funny. but ive also copped my fair bit of shit. you have to give the cops a bit of space as they have a hard job. but if you are being harassed by a police officer, targeted unfairly do follow it up, but when you do this dont make an arse outta yourself. be veryu controlled and fair about what you do and say.

What guages are important to YOU?
MattyB replied to T0nyGTSt's topic in General Automotive Discussion
benm, often guages are more important for tuning than actually racing. all my defi guages have warnings so if any of the guages go over or under a certain limit it a really anoying buzzer sound and the wonderful red light shows up. i purchased all defi bf series guages. got two more to get. only problem i have found is i need three controler boxes to be able to connect all the guages i have. (two so far need one more for the last guage). probally the cheapest guages i know of would be vdo, but if you go that way get the kenworth version (has to be purchaced from kenworth themself) from memory you can get the guage and sensor for about 70$. they dont have any warning or recall option. the advantage over the vdo guages (unless vdo has changed recently) is at night the numbers light up thought the backing insted of light simply being let pass from arround the edge to try light the frount panel inside, which isnt that effective. -

you can have as many guages as you want. if you know what it does and this effects your vehicale, i say go mad. i did. craz0 i have the apexi turbo timer which have the factory air flow setting displayed. im yet to compare to a tuning sensor so i cant honestly tell you how close it is. -
nice one bro.

mmmmm nice. these are a great thing if you seem to have trouble finding a passenger who is willing to sit in a car with you. or maybe that should be telling me something about what i want recorded. hrm.
-
mind my stupidity. but what does that mean ?

i took my ash tray out. walked over to my bench grinder and ground that nice plastic finger lip off so the frount was all flat. then stuck onto there, the rsm is sitting a bit higher than the top of the ash tray. but the ash tray can still be opened except when your in 3rd or 5th. good thing i dont smoke in ma car hey.

shudder on hard cornering
MattyB replied to Jase's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
the shudder to me sounds like the tires are skipping over the road. do you experiance under steer when this happens? no offence intended but you might find that car was never intended to drive that way on those surfaces. maybe some less agresive driving on those surfaces will stop that prob. and its free. -
Mrzac when i bought my tie rod ends there was a different part listed for upto late 95 and from 96 on for the gts-t. do you know the difference between em ?
-
are rb26 and rb25 cams interchangable ?

if the fuel regulator doesnt give you a fuel restriction (causing pressure build up) then you shouldnt have any change from getting a bigger fuel pump. after all its the fuel regulator that controls the fuel pressure not the pump. unless of coarse your pump is worn out and at high rmp its not able to pump ennuff fuel.

ive got 6.5 inch md quart in my car which when i installed i was lucky to already have some mdf backings which just need to be trimmed slightly bigger. if you have a jig saw 30 mins spare time and a pencil with some lead in it you should be able to make those speaker holders piss. if you cant be bothered im sure your old high school has all the equip needed to help with this. just go there talk shit with an old school teacher from the manual arts block and i can bet he would make em for ya. if you need any help just pm me.
