  8. hmmm looks like you just got a copy of my kit. needless to say had you taken it to driftline you'd have paid less for it, waited a shorter time, and they would have fitted it for you. You should have seen the work that went into putting adam's one on the red R32 demo car... had to grind it back to bare metal, then use a chemical bond between the fibreglass and metal, so that it didn't crack off as the metal heated up and cooled down. Pretty hard to do it properly. The fuel flap is part of the kit, you get a new one that bolts ontot he factory mounts and sits flush with the rest of the kit, so you don't need to relocate the fuel filler. Although I've been toying with the idea of getting a round pop filler cap off a BMW Z3/Z4 or new MX5... so that it sits higher on the curve and pops up, with an extended filler neck. The kit wieghs heaps because its so thick... definitely one for looks only.
  9. Year model: 1990 Motor: RB20DET Man/Auto: Auto Average k's p/tank: 520km average (65L tank tho) Hows it driven: By my 57 year old dad, to and from work and shops Mods: pod, exhaust What would you change about it if you could: sell it and buy a prius coz dad bitches to no end about wanting a more fuel economical car (dosen't really wanna go fast anymore).
  10. Here's a guy on the Akira copy some more VIP scooters... We all know its not how you ride your scooter, but how you stand by your scooter... FTW...
  11. "yes it undermines your heterosexuality" or "yes omfgwtfbbq, that's the coolest thing since toasted bread!"
  12. Well, given that I live in the land of the endless potholed road (sydney) now, will have to commute into work and absolutely detest the public transport system, I've been starting to look into small capacity bikes... mostly around the 250cc ones. While I was looking at the bikes I came across an ad for a Yamaha Majesty for a touch over $4000. The Yamaha Majesty is a big scooter, or a feet first bike... however you wanna look at it, its not exactly the coolest looking thing on earth. However it is 250cc and its mighty comfortable to ride in (I've ridden one before a long time ago when I was test riding some bikes). Here's what it looks like in stock form (1996 majesty... about 4 to 5 grand to buy with rego n stuff): now you can take that... and make it look like this: or this (blue one): The black one is the newer majesty and the red one is a suzuki.... which brings me tot he choice of shelling out an extra couple of grand and get the newer majesty which looks a lot better, and has a whole HEAP of aftermarket products for... Of course there's other large scooters made by Suzuki and Honda (esp the Honda Helix, which is pretty popular in the US, Europe and Japan... which can be imported pretty cheaply as a 1988 and older import). Anyways... some more pics: Here's a moderately pimped Honda Helix: Now... you can take a honda helix, take off all the fibreglass parts... then drop a bodykit that costs about 4 grand or so on it... and get this: Pretty f**king cool if you're a fan of the anime, although, I'm not really a big fan of the fake wheel cover, esp in this day and age where you can get a wide chopper wheel pretty cheap. So the question remains... VIP Scooter... yay or nay?
  13. good thing there's no po black folk in benalia.
  14. lol me, slide and N1GTR were still pretty nackered from the night before so we hardly moved from our spot... we were in front of the starting grid, so when the incident happened it was right in front of us.
  15. so what happened to the car that caused the retirement? All I saw was the car blow some smoke and then pull over onto the side then get towed away.
  16. gave my old man a full tank of petrol in the cefiro and a free polish of the car.
  17. you were driving on space savers weren't you! you're a bad man! a verry verrry bad man!
  18. GTS4 is AWD, so I dunno how you'd work that in. GTS has been done already in perth, so yeah, that's definitely doable.
  19. here's mine being test fitted on the car, the mount near the indicator was damaged during transit, but it was an easy fix. The original is really thick (not flexible) and white in colour on both sides... on the back of the front bumper it should have a BN Sports sign under the first layer of fibreglass. The copies were a lot thinner and grey. I'll see if I can get a pic of the "watermark".
  20. gonna be moving the search function to google search... google search rocks.
  21. unplug the wire in the door to the locking motor? although you might lose central locking ability as well.
  22. yes they are the same. doors on R32's made before august 1991 didn't have factory side intrusion bars whereas latter ones did, that's the only difference. Oh and some of em had knobs instead of a flat pad for the mirror control but that's just cosmetic. and gtr's had a different trim on the door lining.
  23. who's the nutjob drivin that purple ceffy like it was an AE86? hehe awesome work fellas. is it just me or does every SA drift car have a vinyard sponsoring em?
  24. none in the US? I was certain some cashed up fan would have snapped one up.... that's mack daddy JayDeeYem Tyte!
